Terrible Claim Handling
I had to file a claim with RoamRight after my luggage was lost during my trip to Japan. Their website was easy to navigate, and purchasing the policy was easy. The claims process was slow, however. It took nearly six weeks for my claim to be processed, and I had to follow up multiple times. When I finally received my reimbursement, it was less than expected. I understand delays can happen, but the lack of communication and the final payout made this a frustrating experience. It's unfortunate because I was hopeful about using their services again, but now I'll think twice before buying from them again.

Terrible Experience with Medical Claim
I was very frustrated with my experience with RoamRight. I had to use the insurance during a trip to Italy as I fell ill and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Despite submitting all my documentation on time, my claim was rejected without much explanation. My hours on the phone speaking with customer service were met with no clear reason from them for the rejection. There was a misleading impression of details regarding the coverage, and when I brought this to their attention, they were very unhelpful. Pity, because the price was really reasonable, but I shall be looking elsewhere in the future.

Rude Customer Service
My experience with RoamRight was poor, mostly because of their customer service. I bought a policy for a business trip to the UK and had an urgent claim that needed processing after a flight cancellation. It was very difficult to get any assistance, though. I spent over an hour waiting on the phone, and when finally reached, the representative appeared to be apathetic about resolving my problem. I had to wait several days before my claim was processed, and it significantly impacted my travel plans. Though I do know that sometimes delays can happen, it is poor communication that makes the entire experience so frustrating. I would not be likely to use them again.

Unresponsive Customer Service
"I had an experience while I was traveling through Thailand very frustrating with RoamRight when, upon my travel I arrived after more than 48 hours when my lorry's did not arrive. All seems wonderful during the period while selecting, but the issue has shown at the end which needs the claim. Unfortunately for claiming purposes, my client servicing support was taking its due course. Many contacts regarding update were made via long-lasting call waiting and undeterminate reactions by the customer servicings while after almost three weeks in final, partly they repaid my expenses. Therefore disappointing such kinds of events should happen at least due time wasting occurred. I used my ample of time by handling a piece of paper. Certainly it doesn't take ages when handling any kind of issue because for one customer, it surely wouldn't make much time worse from which it wasn't if a proper piece of their client servicing approach have come along. I will hesitate though in using RoamRight."

Confusing policy details
"While RoamRight did cover my trip last week in Spain, I was a little let down by the fact that the policy details were vague. So, I bought one and expected it to cover my delayed and canceled trips entirely. However, when I found my flight was delayed, I got into this situation where some aspects of the policy were excluded for certain circumstances. In a row of hours on hold, their customer service explained it all to me. It did seem that the representatives are always very polite, but that leaves one feeling a bit misleading for not having the clarity while purchasing. In fact, I did not receive my full reimbursement. For next time, I shall try out other options that better specify coverage."

Not the Best for International Coverage
"I bought travel insurance from RoamRight for a trip to Japan and found the initial process smooth. However, I encountered problems at the time of usage of insurance. I was required to go to a doctor while traveling and made a claim for medical charges incurred by me, but this whole process was time-consuming and not easy to understand. The company wanted more documentations which I had to repeatedly send them and also reimbursement I got was way lower than my expectations. Not only this, but I also got to know that there are certain treatments which are not included in the plan that I chose despite the advertisement. My customer service experience was terrible because after getting their services, I found that their response time and supportiveness was not impressive at all. At this price point for international coverage, I think it is too high and definitely expect much better service for such coverage."

Misleading Information
"This was a very disappointing experience with RoamRight. This traveler had bought complete travel insurance for a trip to Mexico thinking they would be fully covered in case anything were to happen. However, when their flight was canceled and they needed to file for a claim, they were told that the coverage actually did not apply since there was a technicality in their terms. I spent hours on hold speaking to their customer service, trying to get something done, but they just were totally inept and dismissive. I felt like I did not get nearly the protection as promised with the policy I bought. This was all just a headache, and I still ended up paying extra on my visit. Needless to say, I would not recommend RoamRight to anyone who is looking for travel insurance in which they can truly rely. They should be much more upfront about what their policies really cover."
