The wines arrived and two of the bottles were damaged. The packing looked solid enough but apparently didn't prevent impact. This was pretty disappointing because the occasion was a special one and I had to scramble for a replacement. Making contact with the customer service people was a process, and even though they would refund the cost of the bottles that were broken, it wouldn't make up for the mess and the fact that the whole occasion was spoiled. I had specifically ordered a particular bottle of wine, a Pinot Noir from a specific vineyard, for a special occasion. What I got was something completely different-a Cabernet Sauvignon. That was absolutely unacceptable, not to mention not having been given any advance warning. It utterly derailed my plans because the Cabernet Sauvignon wasn't going to work for the meal that I had planned. While customer service eventually offered a refund, this did not compensate for the ruined evening and the fact that I did not get the wine that I specifically wanted. An error of this scale is a huge failure in service.
