Terrible Customer Support and Long Delays

I had high hopes when I first applied for my VA loan with Veterans First, but my experience has been less than satisfactory. I experienced multiple delays and poor communication throughout the entire process. Every time I called for an update, I had to leave a voicemail and wait days to hear back. There was a huge delay in the processing of paperwork that was done as to move my closing date many weeks back. I know these things happen, but then the lack of communication and follow-up was irritating. I would say look elsewhere if one wants easy going.

Completely Unprofessional and frustrating

My experience with Veterans First has been nothing less than frustrating. The loan officer assigned to me failed to respond; I found myself constantly emailing and phoning just to get a simple update on the status of my loan. They further failed to honor promises they had made in relation to rate locks and fees. After over one month of problems, I decided to withdraw my application and seek a more reliable company. My experience with Veterans First was a frustrating one. Initially, they were very friendly to talk to, but then it went from bad to worse; it was moving much slower than I anticipated. They were requesting the same documents several times, and several instances arose where I had to chase after updates regarding my loan status. At one point, I was even in the dark as regards the status of my loan and had no idea as to what was going on. Their communication definitely requires improvement. Finally, I managed to get my loan; however, delays and lack of communication made it a stressed and unpleasant experience.

One of the worst experiences of my life occurred with Veterans First. At first, it seemed they didn't have their acts together, and my assigned loan officer was never around. Disorganized and Frustrating Experience

My experience with Veterans First was far from what I expected. The process was disorganized, and I had to constantly chase them for updates. Paperwork appeared to get lost in the system and I was required to resubmit documents multiple times. It took much longer than I was initially told, and the communication was absolutely terrible. I never could feel that comfortable with where I sat regarding the process, so I went with a different lender. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

While the prices charged by Veterans First were competitive, the service was not. I presented all the needed documents way ahead of time; however, for weeks, nothing is heard of your request. Very Disappointing Experience

I was really frustrated with the experience that occurred at Veterans First. I applied for a loan and was assured that two weeks would pass prior to approval, but it actually took over a month. The communication was really bad; they never kept in touch unless called upon. Whenever they did provide answers, they were vague and of no use. I experienced very nonresponsive loan officers and most times thought that I was working on some mechanical, non-human process. In fact, this experience was frustrating since many times I had to resend documentation several times over mistakes made by the team of this organization. I will definitely not recommend Veterans First in any case.

Disorganized and Frustrating

There were major issues with the process in the way that the loan organization process had taken place. The documents sent had a tendency to go missing and be resent multiple times. Whenever it appeared as though things were taking shape, an email would be sent back asking for additional information. The delays were frustrating and overall made the whole process very disorganized.
