Some Issues with Freshness
Although I love the idea of Vega Produce, I've had some inconsistent experiences. My initial order was fantastic, the produce was fresh, and the delivery was on time. Since then, my other orders have not been as good. On occasion, some of the produce, especially leafy greens, came wilted or browned when they arrived. This is an issue, since freshness is a main reason for using a service like this. I've attempted to reach customer service, and they were courteous but the fixes provided weren't always acceptable. I don't want to keep ordering on a regular basis if the quality isn't more consistent. I hope that they can rectify these issues.

Delivery Challenges
I've had some issues with the delivery service. Although the produce itself is usually good, the delivery time is usually not achieved. A number of times, my order has been delivered much later than planned, sometimes even the next day. This is not helpful for meal planning and can affect the freshness of some items. The delivery drivers have also not always been the most careful with the packages. On one occasion, the fruit was bruised on some of it because the box had evidently been handled roughly. I would like to see better delivery logistics and greater care with the handling of the produce.

My biggest complaint with Vega Produce is the packaging. I realize the produce must be protected, but there appears to be an overuse of plastic. This bothers me, as I am attempting to lessen my environmental footprint. I have found that some things are wrapped individually in plastic when it doesn't appear to be necessary. I would like to see more environmentally friendly packaging, like biodegradable packaging or minimizing the amount of plastic used overall. I'm also not sure how the packaging materials are sourced. Transparency here would be nice.

My latest order from Vega Produce was riddled with errors. Not only was an item missing, but I even received an entirely different item than what I ordered. This is really frustrating since I had gone through the effort of selecting those very items specifically for a particular dish I intended to prepare. Not only were a few pieces bruised and battered, but there was also an unwelcome and disturbing surprise: a tiny bug in the spinach box. My experience with Vega Produce was very negative. I had ordered a selection of vegetables, and the box was received in terrible condition. Several of the items within were battered and bruised.
