Sadly, I do not have a recommendation for Urban Self Storage because of the state of the units. My unit was dusty, and cobwebs were present on the corners. The lighting in the building was also inadequate, which made it hard to get around at night. I also experienced issues with the elevators, which were slow and unpredictable. For the money I paid, I expected a lot better maintenance and attention to detail. I hope they get these problems resolved soon, as they are a turn-off to customers.

Throughout my stay, I saw a few of the units that lacked sufficient locks, and I could not get access to the surveillance cameras when I requested them. The staff appeared pleasant, but I do not believe my property is as secure as I was assured. I wanted better when it came to locking up valuable things. I will not be returning based on my safety issues. The company must invest more in the right measures.

Difficult Reservation Process
I had a number of issues when attempting to book a unit at Urban Self Storage. The reservation system online was confusing and kept freezing. When I phoned the office to get help, staff were not helpful and did not appear to have a clue about how to sort the matter out. It took a lot longer than intended to eventually get a unit and poor communication made the whole process frustrating. Next time, I will be seeking a smoother experience.

Too Little Access During Limited Hours
I am not satisfied with my Urban Self Storage experience. The place has extremely limited access hours, and it made it hard to get into my unit when I wanted to. Also, customer service was also slow to help me with issues. I waited for more than an hour before I was attended to, which is totally unacceptable. I had to go somewhere else for improved service. Their service and hours must be greatly improved to be more customer-friendly.

Dirty and Smelly Facility
While Urban Self Storage provides a good location and reasonable access hours, the building itself was not as well cared for as I would have liked. There was some wear on the doors and a stench in some of the areas. The space was also somewhat dusty when I brought my things in. I was expecting a more professional atmosphere given their reputation, but was let down by the overall appearance. I would hope that they improve their cleaning and maintenance efforts.

Hidden Fees and Confusing Pricing
Urban Self Storage at first appeared to be a good value, but the pricing is deceptive. After registering, I was charged with various surprise fees that were not initially disclosed. When I complained about it, the staff could not provide a reasonable explanation. The transparency issue made me feel cheated, and I will never be using this storage facility again. It's infuriating to work with surprise expenses on top of the already steep prices. Use them with caution.

Unprofessional Customer Service
Frustrating experience with Urban Self Storage for the lack of good customer service. I was having a difficulty getting through the phone when asking questions, and when I do get through, I was addressed with impatience. The employees didn't appear to be well-trained and didn't give clear responses. The process was unorganized, and I felt like my issues weren't a priority when I left. I expect more service when paying for a storage unit. I will be seeking another facility in the future.

Not as Secure as I Expected
I picked Urban Self Storage due to their promotional security, but I was not satisfied. The security cameras did not seem to cover every place, and sometimes the gates failed to close correctly. I also felt that the staff members were less courteous when I complained about my issues. While the facility itself is clean, I no longer feel comfortable placing my valuable contents here. Improved security measures have to be initiated by the management to provide assurance to customers like me.
