Too Many Fake Positive Reviews
I have been using TripAdvisor for several years now, but of late, I have been finding way too many fake positive reviews. It seems like all types of businesses are writing glowing, over-the-top reviews about their services, and one wonders which one is real. I once used TripAdvisor to book a hotel last month based on great reviews, and it was disappointing. The reviews clearly were not a representation of what I actually encountered with the experience. I now do take the time to always check other review sites before making my decisions.
Nicole Dufresne
Poorly Managed Listings
Recently, I have tried using it to plan a trip that involves going to some very remote locations. What really surprised me was how unregulated the listings on the site were. Many places listed as operating businesses had been closed for many years. I have wasted lots of time going to places that don't exist anymore or cease to operate. Listings should be updated at more regular periods to avoid these kinds of inconveniences.
Valentina Dupuis
Inconsistent Reviews
I feel like TripAdvisor reviews are becoming increasingly inconsistent. Some places will get rave reviews one week, and then the next week, they are complaining about the same issues. This inconsistency makes it very hard to properly judge a place or service. I have had good and bad experiences based on TripAdvisor's recommendations; therefore, I try using other resources now to verify this information.

Unsatisfactory Help
I have a problem with a reservation of my hotel, and so I decided to get in contact with TripAdvisor's help desk. Unfortunately, they were of no good and did absolutely nothing in order to resolve the problem. The phone call was done personally to the hotel that solved this problem, which was really frustrating because it took so much precious time. Less than impressed with the TripAdvisor service, I will avoid this website for all further reservations.
Thomas Robert
Touring-Disappointing Experience
I had made a day tour booking through TripAdvisor, which was thoroughly disappointing. The guide was disorganized, and the stops did not align with the ones published. Additionally, some of the stops seemed irrelevant, like a waste of time. I was expecting a fun and enlightening experience but found myself instead understanding that it was hurriedly put together without much thought. I shall be more careful in future tour bookings through TripAdvisor.

Great for Travel Insights
I have never been disappointed with TripAdvisor when it came to vacation planning. I enjoyed the elaborative reviews and ratings from other travelers that helped me make better choices. The website was relatively easy to navigate and had reliable information about attractions, hotels, and restaurants. Highly recommended!
Sean Peterson
An Essential Travel Tool
TripAdvisor is my first point of contact whenever I plan any trip. The reviews are very helpful, and yes, I do trust the insight shared by the other travelers. This is an all-inclusive platform that assists me in researching my destination, activities, and accommodation. Through the recommendations within the community, I have been able to uncover some hidden gems. Definitely worth using for any trip!
Willie Gray
Reliable Information
I have been using TripAdvisor for several years now, and it's my travel companion. The app does a great job: it provides excellent user reviews, tips on restaurants, and feedback about local attractions. Navigation is sometimes a little bit overwhelming, but overall, it is a fantastic resource for anyone who is planning trips.
Gerald Ramirez
Always Trustworthy
TripAdvisor has always been reliable to help me plan my trips. I like the thoroughness of their reviews. Reviews are easily filtered by date, rating, and type of traveler, making it pretty user-friendly. It's also an easy site to navigate around and find what you're looking for. I wouldn't travel anywhere without first looking up a location on TripAdvisor.
Jose James
Good Resource for Travelers
TripAdvisor has become an excellent tool in my vacation planning process. Many of the user reviews are accurate, and information to do at each destination is relatively vast. Sometimes, I wish that there were more current reviews, but overall, it has made my travels so much easier and enjoyable.
Terry Watson
A Must-Use for Travel
I use TripAdvisor for nearly every trip I take. The reviews are usually spot-on, and I really appreciate the diverse range of opinions that I can read. It's nice to know both positive and negative critiques. If they would just allow a few more filters for specific travel needs, this would be even better. But all in all, this is a good app.
Albert Brooks
Best Travel Resource
TripAdvisor was a big help for me with my past few trips. I do believe in the reviews; found some great places to see, dine, and stay. It's a must-have tool if you want to maximize your travel time, and this rating system helps you compare. Highly recommended to fellow travelers!
Bryan Kelly
Great, But Could Use Some Improvements
I love TripAdvisor because of its comprehensive review database. This is the first place to which I turn anytime I plan another vacation. The only problem is that sometimes those reviews become outdated. In general, it is an easy website to navigate, with comprehensive information. It makes travel planning so much easier.
Billy Sanders
Never Plan Without It
TripAdvisor is a must whenever I plan my vacation. It helps me to know where to go, where to stay, and what to do. I really appreciate the variety of opinions, being able to read about the reviews from others with similar interests. Always recommend it to friends when they plan their travels.
Bruce Price
Helpful but Sometimes Inconsistent
Overall, TripAdvisor has been a big help in planning my trips. It's very informative, and being able to see the reviews of other travelers really makes all the difference. Some reviews are a bit inconsistent regarding the amount of detail they go into. I still find it very helpful but would appreciate a bit more consistency.
Ralph Bennett
A Fantastic Tool for Planning
TripAdvisor does a great job with trip planning, from hotels to restaurants to attractions. The reviews are quite elaborate, and insights from the community always take me to good places. I also appreciate the user-friendly layout of the website. It's my first stop each and every time for travel planning.
Roy Wood
Very Reliable for Hotel Reviews
I have used TripAdvisor for a couple of years to book my hotels; all of the experiences have always been great. The reviews are comprehensive, and what I really like most of all are the photos published by other travelers. Sometimes some of the pages take a bit to load, but that is a quibble. It's absolutely necessary when looking to book accommodations.
Jordan Barnes
Must-Have for Travel
TripAdvisor probably is the most reliable source when it comes to travel reviews. I also love how user reviews tend to give both the pros and cons of the location or service. Very informative, really helps me make better decisions regarding which hotel to stay in or restaurant to dine in. Whatever I need to find, whether abroad or just locally.
Noah Ross
Good for Finding Attractions
TripAdvisor has normally been very helpful to me whenever I visit a new place. Reviews are normally very accurate, but I like that they give me some sort of idea of what to expect beforehand. I just wish there were more in-depth guides available for each destination.
Dylan Henderson
Always Trustworthy
I have used TripAdvisor for years, and it has never led me astray. No matter if I was looking for activities, restaurants, or hotels, I could always find trustworthy comments. Great tips from other travelers and ease of navigation on the website make it one of my favorite tools when it comes to organizing any trip!
Elijah Coleman
Disappointing and Inaccurate Reviews
I have used TripAdvisor for many years, but during the last period of time, it has come to my attention that the quality of reviews went down. It is annoying to see reviews that are outdated or just not relevant to current experiences. Some hotels and restaurants I have visited had very poor reviews that were at all not related to my experience. I have also felt at times that some reviews are overly positive; it's hard to gauge what feedback is actual. I will, however, remain with TripAdvisor because of its vast database, but I have started reviewing other sites when I seek more reliable information.
Wayne Jenkins
Terrible Experience with Customer Support
I had a problem with a booking via TripAdvisor, and honestly, this company's customer support was horrible. But quite a few attempts to seek help with the refund following an incorrect charge proved not helpful, as every minute taken was slow and responses never came forth. They kept referring me to third-party services, which, of course, were equally unresponsive. It got to the point where I had to resolve the problem on my own. This experience has soured my opinion of TripAdvisor completely, and I will be very careful before using them for bookings in the future. Customer service is key, and TripAdvisor utterly failed here.
Alan Perry
Great Content, But Needs Better Moderation
Though TripAdvisor indeed offers a lot of valuable content, I have found that it is not always well-moderated. Many of the reviews I have read seem phony or misleading. I have been reading quite a few that obviously have been written by staff at various hotels or restaurants to artificially increase their ratings and others for which the reviewer had unduly negative things to say without real explanation. Often, it is hard to sift through and tell what is someone's opinion and what is a paid review. Not that I don't use TripAdvisor anymore for some research, but I always cross-check with other review sites to ensure I get valid feedback.
Juan Powell
Too Many Irrelevant Reviews
I feel that TripAdvisor is just loaded with reviews that do not pertain to exactly what I am looking for. I booked a hotel via their site with rave reviews and, upon arrival, found it nothing like it was described. The photos were really out of date, and the customer service was poor. It is my feeling that there are plenty of positive reviews which are not corresponding to the real state of affairs. Of course, TripAdvisor used to be a very decent place for travel reviews, but now I feel suspicious about the validity of many messages. It is a pity, since I really relied on this resource while organizing my trips.
Louis Long
Misleading Reviews and Unreliable Information
I have recently had an annoying experience with TripAdvisor. I reserved, with great recommendation, one very well-reviewed restaurant based on its reviews and found that it didn't live up to the praise enshrined in the reviews on this site. Food was mediocre, service slow. Even worse, some of the reviews seemed completely disconnected from reality. It's beyond doubt that TripAdvisor does not monitor the reviews well enough, which really makes the platform unreliable. I have lost faith in the reviews and will most likely seek other means next time I'm planning a trip.
Russell Patterson
Inconsistent Quality of Reviews
I think TripAdvisor is a fantastic idea, but sometimes the actual reviews themselves differ in quality to a great extent. I have read many informative and considerate reviews, but at the same time, I've come across a good load of shallow and worthless ones. There is no cohesion in the information-it is more and more the case that people just post reviews without actually thinking about their experiences. Besides, diverse opinions on the same place sometimes clash, which makes it hard to point out what is actually going on. I still use TripAdvisor, but now I know to take the reviews with a pinch of salt.
Philip Hughes
Too Many Fake Reviews
Recently, I have found TripAdvisor to be overrun with fake reviews-so much so that I don't really use the site for travel planning anymore. So many places have suspiciously glowing reviews for places that clearly don't deserve them. I suspect that some of these businesses pay for positive reviews to improve their ratings. All this has served to make it difficult for me to trust the platform as a reliable source of information. I still use it, but always cross-reference other website reviews before making any decisions in light of those reviews.
Jacob Scott
Lacking Transparency in Reviews
I have used TripAdvisor for years and slowly but surely get peeved by the fact that the reviews are anything but transparent. Very often, one cannot tell whether a review is actually genuine or if it is a paid review. This, secondly, is done very often when only particular reviews are left by people who seemed to have reviewed only one place, and that raises questions regarding their authenticity. While I still use TripAdvisor to research hotels and restaurants, I am more circumspect about relying exclusively on their ratings.
Madison Lee
Horrible Experience with Booking
Recently, I made a tour booking through TripAdvisor and happened to be one of the worst I ever had. The process of booking was vague, and no clear communication about the tour details was given. At the location, it was canceled without prior notice. I tried to get in contact with TripAdvisor for a refund, but they were unresponsive and utterly unhelpful. I will never be making a booking through them again. My experience was an entire disaster, and I really regret not reading more critical reviews before making the reservation.
Ryan Brooks
Irritating User Experience on the Application
Using the TripAdvisor app is quite frustrating. It freezes or just crashes all the time, which can make using it on the go pretty difficult. The layout is pretty cluttered, and I often find myself getting lost trying to find what I need. While the reviews themselves might be helpful, the poor functionality made my experience far less enjoyable than one might hope. This was highly expected to be used more in travels, but I will have to make a switch until they figure out the performance of this app.
Olivia Hayes
Customer Service Not Responsive
I had an awful experience when I had to need help regarding a booking. TripAdvisor did not have any customer service. I tried calling, emailing, and using their online chat; I never got a response. Was kept in the dark on an easily resolved problem and, after several weeks, had to cancel the booking myself. Lack of support-so frustrating; will avoid TripAdvisor from now on.
Ethan Carter
Helpful, But Needs Improvements
While TripAdvisor is helpful in finding reviews on both hotels and attractions, I think that there is much room for improvement. Many of the reviews are biased or overly glowing; many others are too negative with very little context. I respect diversity in the experiences of users, but more effective moderation by TripAdvisor can help improve the reliability of the reviews. Secondly, sometimes the website is a bit slow to load.
Abigail Nelson
Reviews Are Too Outdated
I have had a couple of instances where I check the review on TripAdvisor, only to find that the information is outdated or irrelevant. For example, I booked a restaurant based on great reviews, only to get there and find it closed down. In fact, it does seem like TripAdvisor doesn't make much of an effort to keep its reviews current. I used to trust the site, but now I cross-check reviews against other platforms before making any decisions.
Mason Price
Great, But Some Reviews Are Misleading
I am a regular user of TripAdvisor when it comes to planning trips, but there is some misleading information included in the reviews. A few good experiences raise the ratings of some places much higher than they deserve while others receive very low ratings due to isolated incidents. Sometimes, the reviews may not be indicative of the overall quality a place can offer. But for the most part, TripAdvisor is helpful; today I'm more careful about the ratings.
Isabella Rogers
Decent, But Needs More Filters
TripAdvisor is good for getting information on hotels, restaurants, and activities, but it definitely needs to have more developed filters. It is often hard to sift through irrelevant reviews or to find certain recommendations according to specific needs. For instance, I wanted to see pet-friendly hotels in a certain area, but it wasn't just that exact result. It is helpful, yes, but more elaborate search options are definitely called for.
Noah Perry
Uncount-on Reviews for Hotels
I have been using TripAdvisor for hotel reservations for years, but the latest time was quite unsatisfactory. I read some reviews that were misleading and the hotel I stayed in was far below the standards described online. Poor cleanliness and less than friendly service. Obviously not all of the reviews are from actual guests. I'll be a lot more careful in the future and check other review websites.
Ava Morgan
Worst Experience Ever with a Booking
That was a terrible experience trying to book a tour on TripAdvisor. The company I booked through never showed up, and trying to get a refund through TripAdvisor, they just simply ignored me completely. Their customer service is almost non-existent, and it seems like they really don't care about the end-users once they've processed a booking. I will avoid TripAdvisor from now on and tell this story to friends.
Lucas Barnes
Great for Research, But Watch Out for Bias
While I do a lot of research via TripAdvisor, the reviews are usually biased. Some places get super-positive reviews that somehow seem unrepresentative of the experience at all, while other places get very, very critical reviews for problems that must have been singular occurrences. The result is that it's challenging to get an accurate view of what a place is truly like. TripAdvisor should be more moderated so that the reviews given on TripAdvisor will be more balanced and dependable.
Mia Reed
Information Overload
TripAdvisor is so overrun with information that sometimes I feel overwhelmed to sift through. There is so much content that it's hard to get a focus on what is relevant, and the number of choices becomes overkill. For example, I was searching for family-friendly activities in a certain city, but the number was too many to narrow down. Personalization of recommendations about the interests of users, however, is what this platform may need more.
Daniel Foster
High Booking Charges
While TripAdvisor does have decent reviews and travel info, I find that their booking fees are a bit higher than reasonable. I just recently booked a hotel on their website, and the fees were much high compared to direct reservations. And that's also an irritant because using TripAdvisor, the idea goes, is some kind of savings bucks that include added charges and take away common sense for a better deal. I may want to try using their reservation service sometime in the near future.
Grace Allen
Useful but Some of the Reviews Are Bogus
I use TripAdvisor for nearly every trip I take, and by and large, it's extremely useful. But more recently, I think I've been seeing a worrying number of fake reviews. Some of the reviews are just overly promotional or completely biased. The frustrating part is that it makes it more difficult to trust genuine feedback from real travelers. I personally believe that TripAdvisor should do more to weed out these fake reviews if they want their rating to remain credible.
Benjamin Gray
Horrible Tour Booking Experience
I have had the worst experience with booking a tour on TripAdvisor. The tour I had signed up for got canceled at the last minute, and my experience with customer support was horrible. Nobody responded to my emails or even bothered to call back, and support was zero. That was so very disappointing, and I won't make use of TripAdvisor for any bookings in the future.
Natalie Bennett
Great Information, But Navigation Can Be Better
TripAdvisor is a great source of information on travels, but at times I do find it a little fiddly. There's so much information on the site, though at times one has to pay attention to getting specific details. Anyway, most of the reviews are helpful and complete that I still rely on this for my trips. Just wish that the user interface was streamlined.
Samuel Hughes
Smothered in Ads
The truth is that lately TripAdvisor seems to have a lot more ads, and frankly speaking, this is getting on my nerves. I try to read through a review, but either pop-ups or sponsored stuff comes in the way of doing so. I understand they need to make their money, but it really takes away from the user experience. I used to like using the site, but it appears now that its sole purpose is more of a marketing website than an actual review website to help users.
Lily Green
Lack of Real-Time Information
TripAdvisor used to be a 'go-to' for current information, but it seems like lately they are just way behind the times with real updates. I reserved a restaurant based on their listing and was clearly very disappointed to learn that the info in the site hadn't been updated in quite a long period of time. Most especially when you're relying on them for accuracy, and they drop the ball.
Henry Peterson
Not What I Expected
I have used TripAdvisor for years, but lately, I have started getting it a little wrong. Reviews seemed less dependable, as some places were getting exaggerated positive feedback. I once booked a hotel from this website that had great reviews, only to realize it was so different from what it sounded like. Nowadays, I don't really rely on the reviews much; hence, it is very difficult to plan my trips.
Hannah Ross
Too Many Ads
While TripAdvisor gives a lot of good reviews and recommendations, the amount of ads is insane to use. I totally understand that they have to make money, but these pop-ups and promoted stuff start to really annoy me. It takes so much away from the helpful content, and I usually find myself just leaving the site to avoid clutter.
Logan Cooper
Not Reliable to Book
I made a hotel reservation through TripAdvisor, and upon arrival, they claimed not to have any record of my reservation. The customer service was unhelpful, and even after several hours on the phone, I didn't get a resolution for this problem. I will never trust the TripAdvisor booking platform ever again. It was utter waste of time and money.
Audrey Kelly
Great for Information, but Now Many Fake Reviews
I love TripAdvisor to help in planning my trips, but lately, it has mainly devolved into a series of fake or heavily biased reviews. It seems many places of business are padding these review forums with suspiciously positive feedback so as to enhance their ranking. While I still use the website, I try and cross-reference any review with other websites for further assurance that I am getting a valid critique about the subject in question.
Jack Murphy
Confusing and Outdated Reviews
I really don't take these reviews seriously on TripAdvisor. Many times, information may be outdated, and I have even found situations where places that are no longer open are still written about here as if they are open. This made my whole trip planning more exhausting because I needed to verify certain details from elsewhere. TripAdvisor needs to revise listings more regularly.
Sofia Sanders
Disappointed with the Booking Process
I had used TripAdvisor in the past and never had any issue, but with my last booking, I have found it very frustrating. The website was buggy and kept double-booking when I didn't even realize it. When I finally called customer service, they did not respond all that well and resolved this really later than expected. This has really soured the idea of using TripAdvisor to book.
Liam Ward
Inaccurate and Misleading Information
I booked a hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews, and it was an utter disaster. The photos were very outdated, and the reviews did not reflect the actual quality of the place. The customer service was rude, and I felt utterly misled. I shall never use TripAdvisor for booking hotels again, as the reviews appear at best unreliable.
Chloe Bell
Review Filtering Is Terrible
I have used TripAdvisor a couple of times and have always gotten frustrated. The filtering system to identify what is most relevant is just a chore; there have also been a number of reviews that quite obviously were fake or biased. If this is the case, then the system for rating the reviews is not particularly effective, either. I have since begun using other review sites that offer better filtering and transparency.
William Cook
Too Many Outdated Listings
I recently planned a trip on TripAdvisor, and most places listed were either very outdated or out of business. That's really frustrating, as I have been using TripAdvisor reliably for any information regarding travel, and it made planning tough. Well, they should have updated those listings better.
Addison Cox
Terrible Service
I had a bad experience with their TripAdvisor customer service. Something went wrong with a booking, and when I tried to reach out for some help, they completely ignored me. Emails were left unreturned, and I couldn't get assistance for this problem, nearly impossible. Since then, because of that negative customer service, I have stopped using them for any future bookings.
Alexander Mitchell
Needs Better Review Moderation
I use TripAdvisor a lot because it holds a large number of reviews that one can choose from, but of late, I find most of the reviews to be biased. Some facilities have high ratings while visitors often have bad experiences. It is apparent that TripAdvisor does not have a very good review moderation system. I still use this site, but I am a bit more skeptical.
Avery Parker
Annoying Search Feature
I love TripAdvisor. It's got tons of valuable information, but using the search feature can be such a pain. It's nearly impossible to narrow down choices when I'm looking for something in particular?for example, family-friendly things to do, or dog-friendly hotels. Most of my time is spent filtering through irrelevant results, rather than truly finding what I am looking for. Hopefully, this feature will improve in the near future.
Elijah Russell
Fraudulent Reviews
I had an awful experience trying to book a vacation through TripAdvisor. The reviews for the hotel that I booked were completely misleading, including several obviously employee-written glowing reviews. When I got to the hotel, it was completely different from what I had expected. The photos were fake, and the amenities were poor. I won't be using TripAdvisor again for booking.
Scarlett Collins
Ok, but Smothered in Ads
I have been using TripAdvisor for quite some time, and it does help in researching. However, the website seems to load up so much advertisement that creates disturbance for the viewer from the contents. It's pretty difficult to pay attention to the reviews and recommendations when every other thing on your screen is a pop-up or some sort of ad. It irks me the moment I will need accurate information for my trip.
Caleb Bailey
Annoying Pop-Ups
I love TripAdvisor for its reviews, but those pop-up advertisements are just so annoying. It's a real pain to use this site because sometimes I just close the window because it frustrates me. Hopefully, TripAdvisor will find a way to cut down on the ads so that I can use it without all of these constant interferences.
Zoe Coleman
Terrible Experience with Refunds
I tried to get a refund for a booking through TripAdvisor, and their process is terrible. It took several weeks for them to actually respond to my emails, and never did they give me an appropriate answer. I am still waiting for my refund, and I'm very disappointed with the customer service. Never going to use them again for booking anything.
Dylan Turner
Contrasting Reviews
I find TripAdvisor very helpful, but too often I find so many contrasting reviews. Sometimes different locations get reviews all over the place, where people either have loved it or truly hated it. In those cases, it's hard to make a decision. I just wish there was at least a better system of filtering reviews based on preference or experience, because at least that would cut down decision-making.
Savannah Myers
Lack of Effective Filtering
TripAdvisor has many reviews in its database, but it lacks an effective filtering system. Quite often, I wanted to stay at a family-friendly hotel or one that could cater to special diets, and yet the filtering criteria were too broad to narrow down my search. I had to browse through hundreds and hundreds of reviews, which took a great deal of my time.
Isaiah Powell
Bad booking experience
I had pre-booked an activity through TripAdvisor, and the tour company suddenly cancelled it without warning. TripAdvisor didn't get this issue resolved but instead referred me to the tour company, which did not get back. I lost money and wasted time, and lack of support on TripAdvisor's side further made this experience worse. Later on, I won't be able to trust them again when it comes to booking.
Eleanor Morris
Too Many Ads and Pop-Ups
The TripAdvisor site is helpful, but I have always been frustrated with the overwhelming number of ads and pop-ups when one browses around. Trying to read the reviews or look at some of the hotel listings, it can be a pain with so much disturbance around. Of course, I do understand this as a free site needs these ads, but the experience would be totally better without such huge distraction.
Wyatt Jenkins
Unreliable Hotel Reviews
I have booked the hotel through TripAdvisor, reading great reviews, but it happened to be awful. The personnel was impolite, the rooms were unclean, and the facilities were poor. It felt like I was completely misled by the great reviews not reflecting what was actually awaiting me there. I will be more attentive to the usage of TripAdvisor in the future.
Lucy Barnes
Information is Outdated
TripAdvisor used to be my go-to for travel research, but I notice a lot of the information in it is outdated. Just recently visited a restaurant that has been closed for months but showed open on this site. It's really frustrating, you know, because you do count on this site for good, updated information and are let down.
Matthew Shaw
Good, But Room for Improvement
I regularly use TripAdvisor, but it really does need a revamp. The site is just so cluttered at times; it's just a bit of an effort when trying to find what I need. Also, most of the reviews are inconsistent. I have noticed places that were rated very well but didn't turn out to be as great as all that. I do really think TripAdvisor needs to monitor its reviews way more.
Riley Ford
Deceiving Restaurant Reviews
I booked a restaurant through TripAdvisor?it had great reviews. It was less than satisfactory. The food was ordinary; service was slow. Sometimes, I think that too many of the reviews on this site are over-the-top positive and don't accurately portray reality. Will be more discerning with the ratings next time.
Joshua Evans
Sometimes Hard to Trust
TripAdvisor tends to be an excellent travel resource, but I have come upon reviews that are sometimes hard to be taken seriously. A few times I have booked places based on the reviews, only to be misled by them. Some of the reviews don't seem neutral; they show up with much enthusiasm. I'll keep using TripAdvisor, but I'm starting to be more discreet about my decisions.
Peyton Flores
Great for planning the trip
I used TripAdvisor for years to help plan my vacations, and it was always so helpful. The reviews were often very in-depth and included honest feedback that actually helped me narrow down my options regarding the best places to stay, eat, and visit. I especially love to read through the pictures taken by travelers. It gave me such a better idea of what to expect. Whether I'm headed to a new city or revisiting an old favorite destination, TripAdvisor is always my go-to for advice and recommendations.
Carter Price
For the Traveller
This site is just about indispensable when taking a trip. Generally speaking, the reviews can be trusted, and I like the diverse range of opinions included. I also appreciate the ease with which I can use it-everything from hotels to activities one may want to consider is just a click away. Recently, I took a trip to Italy using TripAdvisor for suggestions on restaurants, and man, were the recommendations ever right on! Found some hidden gems that I never would've uncovered otherwise!
Sydney Hawkins
Amazing Travel Resource
I really just can't imagine taking a trip without TripAdvisor anymore. It's such a comprehensive resource for anything related to travel. It's especially the reviews of hotels that I find very useful since I can see all the pros and cons in one place. I also love the Q&A section where other travelers answer questions that I may have. I feel like I get insider tips with every use. Always check on TripAdvisor before I make any decisions on flights, hotels, or tours.
Levi Edwards
Always Trustworthy and Accurate
TripAdvisor has been my main source in planning trips, and honestly, never once have I gone wrong. Reviews are usually very dependable, and I can find some really good offers for accommodation as well as activities. The fact that it allows filtering reviews according to dates and relevance is a plus for me. I use TripAdvisor in case of international and domestic travels, and thus far, it never disappoints me. I'm confident with my choices every time I use this platform.
Violet Hughes
Awesome Tool to Explore New Locations
I always love using TripAdvisor when exploring a new destination. It's always accurate, and I really love the level of detail in the reviews. I found some of the best restaurants, must-see attractions, and great hotels that I would not have known about otherwise. The user interface is quite friendly and easy to use; it seems the site has been targeted toward travelers. I also like the \Things to Do\ section, which helps me plan my itinerary and find hidden gems.
Aaron Butler
Extremely Helpful for Planning
TripAdvisor has really helped me a lot in planning trips. I like the range of options available, starting from hotels down to restaurants and activities. User reviews are enough to give me a real glimpse of what I may expect, and that matters much when going to places not accustomed to. Several bookings for activities have been made through the site, each time having been a good experience. Another thing I also like is that TripAdvisor has discounts for some bookings.
Stella Perry
Great for Family Travel
TripAdvisor does indeed make family vacation planning so much easier as a parent. I can find family-friendly hotels, restaurants that have kids' menus, and activities suitable for all ages with relative ease. The reviews are really useful, as many times they mention ease of access for strollers or kid-friendly amenities. Recently, I used it for a beach trip, and we had an awesome time. I use it for all our family trips with full confidence.
Thomas Lefevre
Ideal for Solo travelers
TripAdvisor is a game-changer for me, a solo traveler. The sites let me find very safe and highly reviewed accommodations from other solo travelers. The site is full of great suggestions for things to do, from sightseeing to off-the-beaten-path experiences. Reading through those reviews always makes me confident with my decisions. Actually, TripAdvisor has made my travel planning less cumbersome, and I have only good experiences when using it.
Leon Boucher
Reliable for Vacation Planning
TripAdvisor, for me, is the initial contact for any vacation. I have used it to book everything from hotels to sightseeing tours, and each time, whatever reviews were mentioned were quite accurate. It also does a good job of filtering top-rated places based on user responses, which makes my work easier in narrowing down choices. Receiving much value from the community on TripAdvisor, I trust it for recommendations. If you're traveling to anywhere, highly recommended to check that out too.
Sylvie Gauthier
So Many Great Options
What I love about TripAdvisor most is the number of options it gives-from the most expensive, luxurious hotels to the cheapest, most economic activities. And most reviews are highly detailed for almost all aspects of the experience. Thus, I find it really easy to make a decision. It has never let me down, and every time I plan a trip, I look no further than the site.
Marc Lefevre
Great for Finding Hidden Gems
Some of my best travel experiences have been thanks to TripAdvisor. You find those hidden gems in reviews that you may not find otherwise. For example, I found this little family-run restaurant in Paris, serving some of the best food ever. Something I would have never been able to find by other means. I just love reading through the local tips and advice from other travelers; it's like insider-type stuff.
Isabelle Renard
Excellent for Group Travel
Planning group trips requires taking into consideration the opinions of all those involved, and TripAdvisor makes that even much easier. I could filter for many group-friendly accommodations and activities on the site, and the reviews many times proved insightful for groups of a greater size. I used TripAdvisor to plan a trip with friends, and we ended up having an amazing time because we could trust the recommendations. I would definitely continue using it for any group vacations.

A First Timer's Must
Being that I'd never been to Europe before, man, I really had to lean on TripAdvisor to help me figure a lot of it out. The reviews were incredibly thorough and recommendations just perfect. I found great places to stay and stuff to do, and after reading other travelers' experiences, I was so much more confident in my choices. Made my trip a whole load easier and much more enjoyable. I highly recommend TripAdvisor to anyone heading to a destination they've never traveled to!

Always Accurate and Helpful
Anytime that I use TripAdvisor, I am wowed by the accuracy of the reviews and helpfulness of the community. The site is oozing with great advice on hotels and local attractions; considerate and detailed reviews are always there. I have booked numerous tours through this site, and indeed, every experience has been fantastic. I trust TripAdvisor for all my travel needs and will use it for every trip.

Easy to Use and Very Informative
I find TripAdvisor very user-friendly, and the amount of information available is simply fantastic. I like the variety of reviews for hotels, restaurants, things to do, and trips. And sorting and filtering reviews makes it even simpler to find what I'm looking for. This last trip to New York City, I found some excellent restaurants, fun things to do, and moderately-priced accommodations-all thanks to TripAdvisor's recommendations.

Booking Process-left a lot to be desired
I have been using TripAdvisor for many years to book hotels and activities, but my experience in the past has been less than satisfactory. I made a booking on this site, and when arriving they said they didn't have my reservation. They were arguing with me that it was a third-party booking error after I showed them my confirmation email. I contacted TripAdvisor, who provided minimal support in trying to get resolution. Customer service never responded to me, and honestly, it frustrated me. At this point, I will think twice about using TripAdvisor again as it is much better to book directly with the provider.

Overpriced Recommendations-Misleading Reviews
I booked a tour on TripAdvisor, and it was completely disastrous. This company had great reviews, but when I came, it was totally different from what was said about them. The guide was unprofessional and unprepared; the tour was bad. I paid a premium price for some mediocre experience. I called TripAdvisor to try to resolve this issue, and they told me it wasn't their problem. The misguiding nature of so many of the reviews has made me lose all faith in their platform, which is not thoroughly policed.

Not as Reliable as Before
I have been using TripAdvisor for years now, but recently, it just seems the reviews get less and less reliable. I recently used the site to plan a trip to a popular tourist destination, and many of the top-rated restaurants turned out to be overrated. The food was only okay, to say the least, and the service wasn't as great as they had been hyped. Some of these reviews are old or biased, and I am seriously beginning to question how reliable the site is. Might just use other review sites for the next trip.

Too Many Fake Reviews
I have religiously used TripAdvisor for years now, but lately, I tend to find some sort of underbelly regarding restaurants and hotels. It's just so annoying, really, because you can't quite tell which reviews are real or those extremely obvious ones written by employees or paid reviewers. On my last trip, I stayed in a hotel based on glowing reviews; in reality, the place was all below par. I am a lot more sceptical now about trusting the reviews on the site and will, in the future, verify from multiple sources before making decisions.

Bad Experience with Booking and Refunds
I have generally had one horrible experience with the TripAdvisor booking mechanism. I booked an excursion on their website, and to my dismay, the tour company cancelled it at the last minute without giving me a refund or an alternative. I tried sorting it out with TripAdvisor, and it took them days to get back to me. Once they finally did, they said they couldn't refund me and that it was out of their hands. I'm thoroughly disappointed in TripAdvisor's customer service, and I will never be making use of the site for any booking again.

Sometimes Useful - But Lacks Any Decent Moderation
TripAdvisor is a mixed bag for me. Indeed, I have found a lot of useful reviews on it, especially about accommodations and activities, but lately, it's getting quite difficult to rely on some ratings. Many places just inflate their ratings, and a lot of these seem to come from fake accounts or sponsored reviews. Once, I booked a restaurant because of rave reviews; it was below average and overpriced. It is still a good source, but not as reliable to me anymore.

Bad Customer Service
I have had the most infuriating time with TripAdvisor's customer service. I booked a hotel on their website and then arrived to find the hotel overbooked and with no room for me. I immediately contacted TripAdvisor-never heard back, almost a week later. They were uninterested in trying to help me. I was forced to look for some other place, and that inconvenienced me a lot. Needless to say, this reduced my willingness to book again with TripAdvisor.

Frustrating Search Function
TripAdvisor has a load of information, but it's just frustrating because the search function is really bad. I try to search for activities suitable for families or even family-friendly accommodation, and it just gives totally irrelevant results. I also get frustrated trying to filter reviews, and yet it shows unrelated feedback. The site really has so much potential, yet the cluttered search results make it less user-friendly than it should be.
Georges Lefevre
Outdated Listings
I have recently planned a trip using TripAdvisor and was hugely shocked to find so many listings outdated. Some of the hotels that I looked at had been closed for years but were still showing up as open. Similarly, many of the attractions listed did not exist or had been replaced with newer places. Seriously frustrating, feeling that one depends so much on the site, and then the places don't exist. Hope they get it right soon.

Not Worth the Hassle
I booked a tour through TripAdvisor, and it was an absolute nightmare. The company canceled last minute and didn't warn me or offer me any alternatives. Called TripAdvisor, and boy, were they less than no help. All they could say was that it was an issue for the tour company to resolve and I seemed not to reach them. Quite literally after hours of frustration, I was able to call my credit card company and file a complaint. I will not be booking anything through TripAdvisor anymore.
Eloise Martin
Frustrating Booking Experience
I used TripAdvisor to book my hotel for my recent trip, and it was frustrating from beginning to end. It glitched all the way through, and I attempted four tries before I could finally get it to go through. When my booking went through, it sent me like four emails afterward saying the booking wasn't verified. The hotel did have my reservation upon arrival, but overall, that really was more aggravating than it should have been.
Jerome Lefevre
Too Many Sponsored Listings
I really like TripAdvisor since it has a lot of information, but then again, I'm frustrated that there are so many sponsored listings when searching. It becomes hard to find organic, non-biased reviews since there are lots of paid advertisements pushing certain hotels or activities to the top. I feel this website is too commercialized now and is losing its credibility. I still make use of the service, but now, I do make sure to look more into the reviews before making any decisions.
Pauline Roux
Fraudulent Reviews
I have had a few bad experiences in the past with TripAdvisor, but the latest was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. I booked this hotel due to rave reviews; upon arrival, it was quite contrary to anything described. Subsequently, I found out that some of these positive reviews could have been from the very same hotel in their attempt to increase their ranking. Unhelpful customer service and a feeling of being misled were my experience. I cannot rely on TripAdvisor for any bookings or recommendations anymore.
Yann Dupuis
Overwhelming Amount of Ads
It used to be one of my favorite travel resources, but recently, the site has been so loaded with ads that it becomes more difficult to navigate without pop-ups and banner ads constantly showing. With such interruptions, no one is able to focus on the content that makes many people quit the site due to frustration. I am aware that there is a need for ads; what remains is not to ruin the user experience.

Customer Service Disaster
I have experienced the most terrible of situations while trying to sort out a problem with a booking I made through TripAdvisor. First, the people in customer service aren't responsive; they just transferred me from one department to another. When I finally did get an answer, it was too vague and not helpful at all. My issue was never resolved, and I lost the money for a service I never got. This was my first time using them for booking, and it was my last.
Jeremie Lefevre
Too Many Fake Positive Reviews
I have been using TripAdvisor for several years now, but of late, I have been finding way too many fake positive reviews. It seems like all types of businesses are writing glowing, over-the-top reviews about their services, and one wonders which one is real. I once used TripAdvisor to book a hotel last month based on great reviews, and it was disappointing. The reviews clearly were not a representation of what I actually encountered with the experience. I now do take the time to always check other review sites before making my decisions.
Rachel Dufresne
Poorly Managed Listings
Recently, I have tried using it to plan a trip that involves going to some very remote locations. What really surprised me was how unregulated the listings on the site were. Many places listed as operating businesses had been closed for many years. I have wasted lots of time going to places that don't exist anymore or cease to operate. Listings should be updated at more regular periods to avoid these kinds of inconveniences.
Christian Caron

Anne Dupuis
Touring-Disappointing Experience
I had made a day tour booking through TripAdvisor, which was thoroughly disappointing. The guide was disorganized, and the stops did not align with the ones published. Additionally, some of the stops seemed irrelevant, like a waste of time. I was expecting a fun and enlightening experience but found myself instead understanding that it was hurriedly put together without much thought. I shall be more careful in future tour bookings through TripAdvisor.
