Order Was Incorrect
I purchased three of the same lock, but when my package was delivered, one of them was the incorrect model. I quickly reached out to support, but they were not very responsive to fixing the problem. Lack of Installation Support
I bought a high-security lock from Taylor Security & Lock, but it had no proper installation instructions. Their website also did not have installation guides, and when I asked for assistance, I was instructed to 'refer to the manufacturer.' That does not help in any way. If you're selling security equipment, you at least need to give proper instruction on how to install them!

Taylor Security & Lock is substantially pricier than other retailers of similar kind, and I simply don't see the reason for the higher prices. The locks I received were good but not outstanding. I subsequently found the same models cheaper elsewhere. If they are going to charge a premium, they must have better service or quality, neither of which I was impressed by.

Misleading Stock Availability
The site stated the locks I had ordered were in stock, so I placed my order. After a week, I received a message that they were really backordered and would take another week or two to arrive. That type of communication is not acceptable, especially for a security company. If something is not available, the customers should be informed prior to their final purchase, not afterward. This made me lose faith in their system.

Website Needs Improvement
Their site is old and hard to use. I spent an eternity trying to locate the particular lock model I was looking for, and even after ordering it, I wasn't sure I had ordered the correct one. They need to bring their site up to date to make it easier to use. In addition, the checkout process was glitchy?kept clearing out my cart, which annoyed me. There are so many security product sites out there, I'd shop somewhere else next time.

Bad Customer Service Experience
I experienced a problem with my order and attempted to reach customer support numerous times, but receiving a response was a nightmare. It took a number of emails and phone calls to actually get someone on the phone, and even then, they weren't helpful at all. I had better from a security products company. Return Process is a Hassle
I bought a lock that wasn't designed for my door, so I attempted to return it. The return policy seemed simple enough, but the experience was anything but. I had to pay for return postage, waited for an approval, and then waited even longer for the refund. It took almost a month to receive my money back! Although the product itself was fine, the process of returning it was frustrating enough that I would not dare to order from them again.
