Poor Packaging and Expensive Returns
Swanson Vitamins really needs to get their packaging problems under control. I had ordered a large shipment of multivitamins, and the box arrived in terrible condition. Several bottles were broken, with capsules spilled all over. I called their customer service number, and they even had the guts to tell me that I needed to pay the return shipping cost, which was unfair because it was not my fault. It took weeks to get my replacement order, so I ran out of my daily supplements. The whole process was annoyingly time-consuming. In my case, this situation was unacceptable because I take daily supplements for my health. Swanson should invest more in packaging materials and offer free returns for damaged items. While their supplements are reasonably priced, one cannot recommend them to anybody with this bad service and damage. Hopefully, they will get better soon.

Received Expired Product
I ordered vitamin D supplements from Swanson Vitamins, only to find that they have expired when I received them. This is absolutely not acceptable for any company claiming to adhere to quality standards. I immediately called their customer service, but it was a very tedious process to get a replacement for my product. After several calls and emails, they agreed to send a fresh product. Health supplements must never be shipped after the date of expiration. This negligence may seriously harm the customers, and I am very disappointed. Lack of Transparency with Returns
Returning a product to Swanson Vitamins was an absolute nightmare. I ordered an herbal supplement that didn't work for me, and I decided to return it within their advertised return window. Overpriced and Underwhelming
I had higher expectations from Swanson Vitamins, but the reality turned out to be quite underwhelming. I ordered one of their so-called wellness supplements, which was highly overpriced compared to other competitors' offers. I tried it out, thinking that perhaps the quality justified the price, but boy, was I wrong. The supplement never worked as it was supposed to, and I didn't feel any difference after weeks of intake. Customer service wasn't helpful, and I regret spending a great deal on a product that wasn't even effective. Swanson has a great variety of products, but the quality isn't there to justify the cost. Poor Response to Customer Inquiry
The products at Swanson Vitamins are not so bad. However, one of the worst customer services is found there. I ordered several supplements through them and did not get one. I then called customer service immediately after and heard from them some two weeks later. When they finally got back to me, they claimed it was my fault for having miscounted. Besides frustrating, this was also insulting. I had to push hard before the missing item was sent and even then, it came late. A company is judged not only by the quality of its products but also by its treatment of customers. Swanson's customer service team should be better trained and held more accountable. I won't be returning unless they greatly improve response times and professionalism. It's a shame because their products are otherwise decent.

Allergic Reaction to Product
I recently had the worst experience with Swanson Vitamins. I ordered a protein powder that was labeled as allergen-free, but I had a terrible allergic reaction after taking it. Upon reevaluation of the package, there was a disclaimer in small print mentioning the possibility of cross-contamination. This to me was highly misleading and very dangerous with the fact that I had an allergy. I called customer service to relate this issue to them; however, they were not helpful and instead belittled my complaint. They would not provide any refund or even take responsibility for their misleading labeling. Health products should be safe and their labels should accurately indicate their ingredients, considering that there are people who have specific dietary restrictions. Because of this incident, I've lost all my trust in Swanson Vitamins, and I will never order from them again. I hope they change their labeling to spare others the same kind of problem.

Overpoweringly Bad Taste
I ordered the vitamin C powder from Swanson Vitamins, thinking that it would be neutral or only a little tart. However, it tastes drastically bitter, and I find it almost impossible to drink. Adding it to juice does not even kill the bad taste of it. I called customer service to report my complaint, but they were pretty evasive and told me that it was 'normal' for such products. If so, they should have indicated so in the product description. I very much appreciate that Swanson's products are not so expensive, but this was a disappointing experience.
