The rules for passing the evaluation were vague and unclear, and it was more like playing a guessing game. I was following the rules as best as I could, but it seemed like there were hidden criteria that I wasn't aware of. This lack of transparency made it impossible to understand what was required to succeed. When I reached out to their support team for clarification, they took forever to respond and didn't provide clear answers. The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional, especially considering the high fees they charge. If you are a new trader looking for guidance and structure, I wouldn't recommend SurgeTrader. It's all too frustrating and vague, wasting precious time that I could otherwise use for the benefit of everyone.

Tight Rules, Not a Flexible Field
SurgeTrader has tons of potential. The strict set of rules made it impossible for me to survive, and far too rigid as an evaluation process means that no one will be allowed to thrive on it. There isn't much leeway for even slightly different types of trading. They penalize for the smallest errors, and their strong drawdown requirements appear almost manufactured to cause loss to the traders. I accept that there does have to be discipline, but it just felt like SurgeTrader didn't seem to give traders the opportunity to correct their strategies to grow. For instance, its interface is cumbersome, and I didn't find significant features easily either. The lack of trading tools didn't help my performance either. I felt very unsupported throughout my stay in SurgeTrader. After failing an evaluation, I decided to move on to some other platforms which would allow me more room to move and were a bit better at providing support.

Frustrating and Stressful Process
Evaluation process in SurgeTrader was much more stressful rather than rewarding. The rules of the platform are constructed to make winning nearly impossible. Though I traded conservatively and did everything according to their policy, the conditions seemed too hard on me because it seemed impossible to maneuver out. The constant pressure of attaining a specific performance rate became too overwhelming at times and even made me get stressed under those tight ropes. I did not like their customer service also. I raised several questions and never received clear, helpful responses. It felt more like they were rooting for me to fail rather than helping me succeed. The platform by itself is very simple and does not have the advanced tools that would help the traders express their strategies better. Essentially, I do not feel like SurgeTrader is a platform that finds a way to grow with the trader but one that puts a slight error out of bounds.

Lack of Transparency and Support
I was really looking forward to joining SurgeTrader, but my experience was a letdown. The evaluation process was confusing, with unclear criteria for success. The rules are rigid and do not provide any flexibility to adjust your strategy as you go. It was a bit hard to understand what I did wrong when I failed the evaluation because of lack of transparency. I could not get a direct answer from the customer support team. When I could get a response, it was vague and of no help at all. The customer service that they have is definitely one of the worst that I have encountered. Despite reaching out multiple times for assistance, responses came in delayed, and not much was done to help me understand how to get better. Fees are too high for this, and the experience was just a waste of time. I will look for other platforms with better transparency and customer service.

Great Platform for Focused Traders
