Very Disappointed

Annoying Delay

The last few transactions were frustratingly delayed with SendWave, trying to transfer money to Brazil. Preceding this, the time to complete a transaction was minutes. Today it is unclear at times, taking days without warning or clearer explanations from the support team. The reason was major problems because my family needs the funds to care for everyday necessities, and the downtime of the app also kept arising and made matters worse. In general, the reliability has decreased and I am sure to look for other services to switch if this isn't amended.

Reliable and User Friendly

Not good

Competitive rates aside, the main problem I have had with them is disparities in transaction times and customer service. There were times when my money got stuck, thanks to unclear information from the support team. The last instance was a transaction to Mexico; it took so long that even several days had passed, the transaction was not completed. It really put me out of sorts and on edge. On the day I needed the problem solved, customer support was uncooperative, giving me generic, repetitive responses instead of solving the matter at hand. Lapses such as these will not be tolerated in this business of dealing with people's hard-earned money. So, come on, SendWave, get your act together and polish up your service delivery and customer support.

Beyond Expectations

No nonsense, extremely detailed

As someone who is often required to make remittances to family members back home in Kenya, I would say SendWave is a very reliable company. Unsatisfactory Experience

Bad experience

I have used SendWave the past year to send money to family in South Africa. The first few months were impressively quick on transactions and responsive with customer support. However, the past several months are just horrible with delays and lack of satisfactory response from customer support. A transaction took over a week due to an unexplained hold on funds. Moreover, the customer service team was slow to respond and their explanations vague. I feel disappointed with the decline in service quality and reliability. Haste is required in handling these complaints for it was once a major service provider.
