I was super excited to give SafetyWing a try as it offered cheap pricing, but the claims process was really bad. Following submission of an emergency medical visit abroad claim, I waited for more than a month without an update. Communications were slow and the documentation very exhaustive. At the end of it all, my claim was partially reimbursed, but in all, very frustrating and long-winded. The coverage, on paper, seems decent enough, but one gets frustrated getting reimbursements?very unreliable, in my view.
