Smooth Process for First-Time Buyers
I am a first-time homebuyer, very nervous about the process of getting my mortgage. Then Rocket Mortgage just made it super easy. Sarah, my loan officer, was super patient and walked me through everything. I loved how easy it was when upload documents and tracking my progress online. Quick Pre-Approval and Fantastic Service
I was on a very short timeline to get pre-approved to make an offer on a house, and Rocket Mortgage truly delivered. I received my approval on the same day of the request. Smooth Refinancing Process
We recently refinanced our home through Rocket Mortgage. It was seamless, and it was very easy to follow along on their website with what was going on. Efficient and Transparent Process

Frustrating Delays and Lack of Communication
I had high hopes for Rocket Mortgage after reading so many positive reviews, but my experience was frustrating. It seemed ok in the beginning, but at about halfway into the process, communications from my loan officer totally stopped. I have to call many times to get an update; at most, I will get some vague response. The whole processing is taking longer than it should. Besides, the online site never refreshed properly, and I didn't know at what stage we were in the loan process. The delays added undue stress, and I don't believe Rocket placed my application on the priority list. Given their reputation, I actually expected a better service.

Misleading Information and High Fees
Rocket Mortgage claims that it's fast and easy; for me, it wasn't. They initially assigned me a very good loan officer, but then halfway through, I got passed off to someone else who was unresponsive. I also was informed there would be no additional fees beyond that point, yet when I got my final paperwork, I found unexpected charges on top, raising my closing costs considerably. I also did not feel that clear explanations were forthcoming on the points I paid, and the whole thing felt rather rushed and disorganized. I think they should have been more candid about the costs involved and taken more time to properly explain my loan terms. In the end, I felt overcharged.

Good Rates, Poor Communication
It was the competitive rates that drew me to Rocket Mortgage, but really, a general lack of communication throughout the process was what bothered me most. Rarely would my loan officer return my calls, and if he did, the information was always very vague. It really felt like I was doing the work of keeping myself informed on the status of my loan. Delays in approval of necessary documents prolonged the process beyond expectation, and there was no urgency at their end either. Though I felt the rate was good that I had chosen, lack of proper communication caused frustration. Rocket Mortgage needs to work more in this area for further customer satisfaction.

Unorganized and Prolonged Process
I chose Rocket Mortgage because, in my head, this smoothness of their online platform would continue with the mortgage process, which wasn't the case. I did get numerous delays for lost paperwork and a lot of inconsistent communication. At one point, it even asked me to resend some documents that had already been uploaded onto the system and delayed the closing date. Every time I called my loan officer, it just seemed like something was different. The whole process was disjointed, and completing the loan took much longer than expected. I did expect better from a company that touts its speed and efficiency.

Disappointing Experience with Hidden Costs
I have had disappointing experiences with Rocket Mortgage. The initial application process seemed OK, but much further into the process is when I started to notice additional fees and costs not explained as clearly at the beginning. No matter where I turned, it seemed like another surprising fee was being thrown at me. My loan officer was less than forthcoming about these fees, and I had to ask many questions. If that was not enough, there was an extraordinary delay in the closing process because of errors in the paperwork. I thought that was supposed to go a lot smoother, and in most ways, Rocket Mortgage did not meet my expectations.

Long Process with Issues in Miscommunication
I go both ways about Rocket Mortgage. Truly appreciative of the competitive rate that they had given me, I thought the whole process was taking so long, and the communications between my loan officer and the underwriters were full of misunderstandings. I'd been told different things by different people; nobody seemed to be on the same page. The online platform was used well to keep track of the process, but otherwise, communication wasn't forthcoming unless I kept persisting. Eventually, I did get the loan, but it would have been nice if it had gone on without such annoyance.

Complicated Process and Delays
I wanted to try Rocket Mortgage because they sounded like a name that would offer me a somewhat easy and smooth mortgage process based on computer systems. That is not what happened. While that online platform was user-friendly, in reality it was very slow, and then there was a lot of back-and-forth between me and the loan officer. There were numerous delays with regard to the appraisal and final approval that were very stressful, as my closing date neared. What's worse, I also had to resend some documents many times because of their mistakes. The process of closing my loan turned out to be much more complicated than expected, although it did close.

Great Rate, But Poor Communication
Rocket Mortgage had a fabulous rate for my home loan, but the communications during this process were absolutely horrible. It was difficult to get in contact with my loan officer, and when I received updates, they sometimes weren't clear or were incomplete. Sometimes, I had to literally chase them down to find out information. The loan finally closed, but it seemed like way more stress than I anticipated.

Smooth Start but a Rough Finish
I was initially impressed by how easy Rocket Mortgage made the whole application process. It was pretty simple to work out their online portal, and it seemed like things moved quickly. But as we approached the time of closing, it all started to fall apart. My loan officer became unreachable, and some hitches occurred over the appraisal that delayed things. In the end, the loan finally closed, but those last couple of weeks really got so stressful.

Charges over charges and not clear transparency
I did Rocket Mortgage because I had, quite literally, read about their excellent service, which, in reality, I didn't find to be the case. Some of the fees were undisclosed, seeming to always pop up as a surprise, adding this and that. I found my loan officer was spotty at best in terms of communication, and more often than not, I felt I wasn't getting all of the information. I'm just glad it's finally over.

Lengthy Process with Confusing Communication
Working with Rocket Mortgage, it was light and easy in the beginning; it just continued to get more and more complicated. There was a lot of miscommunication amongst different departments, asking for documents over and over again. We closed later than what was actually anticipated, and it also felt like we had to constantly call and ask for updates ourselves instead of getting them from our actual contact. Fast Approval and Excellent Service
