Packaging Wasn?t Great

The food arrived in reasonable shape, but some containers had cracked tops and leaked so we were unable to give him the ones that had leaked. The actual food was fine (but looks do make a difference) and I feel there must be more packing quality control when shipping than what we experienced. We will not be re-ordering.

Not Enough Customization

Our dog is between sizes and we just couldn't get the portions right. We tried customer support to see if they could do anything other than what is on the website. We ended up awkwardly rationing meals and it made feeding the dog super stressful.

Best Choice We?ve Made for Our Dog

Switching to PetPlate was one of the best decisions we?ve made for our dog. She used to skip meals or only nibble at her kibble, but now she runs to the bowl when it?s time to eat. The meals are fresh, flavorful (according to her enthusiasm), and perfectly portioned. Her coat is softer, and she?s more alert and active during the day. One thing we appreciate is the clear labeling and transparency?they tell you exactly what?s in every recipe. Deliveries are consistent, and the packaging keeps everything frozen, even during the hotter months. We did have to adjust the subscription size once, and customer service helped us through it without issue. Our only wish is that they offered more eco-friendly packaging options. That said, it?s been worth it to see our dog genuinely happy and thriving. PetPlate has taken the stress out of meal planning and given us peace of mind.

Not What We Hoped For

We were looking forward to the meals and trying them. But there were some minor issues from the start. One of the containers arrived broken but they sent another but the time replacement was too long. Our pup didn't take to the food, wasted a few cups there. The customer service was okay but nothing to write home about. We can't really see what the hype is about concerning their product. Just not a good match for our pup.

Didn?t Work for My Dog?s Diet

Our pet has a sensitive stomach and were told this food was tolerant of the stomach. In our case this is not what happened. She had off-bowel moments and appeared lethargic. We did everything responsibly with slow transitions and the same issues happened. We called and were instructed that the formula may not work for every dog, which we think is reasonable. But we felt a little more upfront honesty about was warranted. It was an expensive failed experiment.

Great Option for Sensitive Stomachs

Because our dog has a sensitive stomach, we try to be careful when giving them a new type of food. We were glad to find that the PetPlate really helped him. The food is served in a mild and shared way. There were no stomach problems for him as he started using the new food right away. It is good that this food is developed by veterinarians and includes premium ingredients. Getting portioned cups and dependable delivery is only extra perk. The food might be pricier than dry dog food, but it is good for his health. We have already told other pet owners about how useful it is.

Outstanding Quality and Results

PetPlate has definitely helped increase our dog?s happiness and health level. Our dog never seemed to be comfortable with the previous foods we gave him, as he often had digestion problems and left his food untouched. Once we chose PetPlate, my pet?s life got totally better. He empties his bowl at mealtime, feels more energetic and his fur looks shinier. You can see that every meal is made from whole, fresh ingredients and it is delivered cold and properly packed every single time. Having vets involved is especially comforting since it means we?re aware of what nutrients our pet is getting. It?s also good to know that their customer service is very reliable. Each time we wanted to learn more about portion control, they were immediately helpful. Even though it is more costly than kibble, we prefer it for the well-being of our dog. It?s good to know that the company values looking after pets above everything else.

Customer Support Was Slow

When our box arrived well past the scheduled time, we reached out directly to support and didn?t hear back for almost 4 days. The food was spoiled by the time we got a response. Not a good experience, especially when dealing with food that is to be eaten.

Great Choice for Active Dogs

Not a Good Fit for Our Picky Eater

We tried PetPlate thinking that our picky eater would love the fresh ingredients, but she did not. She sniffed the meals and most of the time ignored them. Even when we tried to warm them up, or mix them with her previous food, she was not impressed. When we complained to support, they did respond, but the suggested remedies were useless. We ultimately discarded a lot of food. For the price we paid, we thought they might consider doing something a little more palatable for dogs that are picky eaters.

One of the Best Dog Food Services

Exactly as advertised, the food our dog gets from PetPlate makes him very happy and remains nutritious. The food looks more natural to me and the smell is closer to how human food smells which is very different from what my pet used to get. His energy is up, his coat is glossy and digestion is much better. We are happy with the regular schedule and the helpful response from customer service. Not worrying about how much I eat or what I?m eating is a big benefit. Yes, quality pet food costs more, but it?s still very satisfying. It?s one of the services we?ll keep for as long as possible.

Mediocre Experience Overall

The first box was fine and our dog initially liked it. But by feeding 3 our dog started to lose attract to it. The texture of the food was too mushy, and even some of the ingredients appeared inconsistent. Ultimately we like that it was vet designed and that the serving size is pre measured, but simply at the price point the food must be more appealing and consistent. Let alone that one shipped box leaked, which was alarming considering safety. We truly wanted this product to work, but it just have not met our expectations.

Amazing Difference in Senior Dog?s Health

Our old dog was getting so old. She was slowing down both physically and mentally. Ever since we started using PetPlate we have seen such an improvement. She has gotten so much more energy, her appetite is back, and her coat is softer and shinier than it has been in years. Her meals are super easy to digest, and it is very clear that she is eating real food, and not processed filler. She was once picky about her food, but now she waits anxiously for every meal. It is also nice to have the portion sizes custom based on her size and age. The food arrives well-packed, is fresh, and the customer service team is responsive. On one occasion, we had an issue with a shipment, and they handled it promptly and without any hassle. The convenience of some food showing up at our doorstep is a definite bonus. Too Many Carbs

After seeing the meals up close, we understood the carb portion of some of the meals. We were hoping to have a better-balanced protein and carb distribution. Our dog did gain some weight, and we were not impressed. There are other products that have cleaner macros.

Real Change in Overall Health

PetPlate came at a time when our dog looked uncomfortable, was gaining weight and refused to eat. Changing kibble brands through the first few years offered no lasting relief. Paying attention to PetPlate led to faster improvements over the first two weeks for us. He really enjoys what he eats because the food is fresh, smells delicious and looks inviting. His levels of energy were now higher and he was able to get rid of the excess weight naturally. He?s also gained healthier skin, teeth and mouth. The food is always packaged securely and the packages rarely arrive late or in bad condition. What we are happy about is the ability to pick recipes and that everything is packaged to meet our dog?s size. While homemade food is pricier than what you find at the store, we think it has been completely worth it for our dog. We are happy we have found a treatment that works well for us. Consistent Quality and Service

We enjoy having PetPlate as part of what we do every day. The ingredients are shipped frozen, fresh and securely closed. All our dog?s meals are loved, however, the beef recipe is the firm favorite. Underwhelming Service Experience

The concept of fresh delivery meals was great, but the execution not so much. A couple of our boxes were delivered late and with food still partially thawed. Customer service apologized, but did nothing to compensate us. Our dog ate some of the meals but was not impressed, and then we had to throw some out for spoilage issues. Cancelling it was more difficult than it needed to be and we were charged after the last one. Overall disappointing.

Good Quality Food with Minor Flaws

I was very pleased with the quality of PetPlate food. The ingredients are fresh and look good. Our dog thinks most of the recipes are delicious, although at times, he is less than enthusiastic about it. Our delivery has always been on time, except for one time that was delivered late, but it is not a big deal for us. The packaging is easy and gives the right portion for our medium size dog. I am sure it is more expensive than dog food from the store, but to me, the health benefits seem to outweigh it. A Total Game Changer for Our Pup

Getting our dog the right food was always a problem before we tried PetPlate. She would not eat any meals, eat in short periods and have a lot of stomach problems. She has missed none of her meals since changing her food. She?s always happy about her meals and cleans her dish fast. You can find bits of vegetables, lean meats and grains in the meals which makes them almost indistinguishable from regular meals. Being aware that the recipes are supervised by vets and meant for good nutrition is valuable. Her coat turned out to be another benefit?after a couple of weeks on PetPlate it became shinier and felt softer. Her stamina is better and the vet pointed out how much healthier she has become. Order always gets there on time and the boxes are both easy to store and to use. Though it?s not the most affordable food option, it is the most rewarding. We feel happy knowing our pet is fed carefully balanced meals. Since we switched to PetPlate, we see a significant difference and we are very pleased.

Dog Refused to Eat It

We started off strong - our dog was quite interested in the new food; but within a couple of days, she simply wouldn't even eat it. We even tried mixing it with kibble, microwaving it, etc. No good. Customer service let us know that sometimes dogs take a little longer to transition, but after many attempts, it didn't work out. Had to throw out many of the containers. So frustrating to spend quite a bit of money and then just spend it up in smoke. We liked the packaging and convenience, but if your dog won't eat it, none of that matters.

Our small dog couldn't handle the richness of PetPlate food. Even though we transitioned to pet plate slowly, she still had issues with digestion. We contacted support, but they were not of assistance. At least canceling was a simple process. Maybe it could work with another dog but it did not work with ours at all.

Didn?t Live Up to the Marketing

The idea of chef-prepared, vet-approved meals sounds great but we feel it was simply "okay" at best. My dog had no excitement about the food and often left food uneaten. We also found an odd coating on the food sometimes after thawing. We questioned it, but support said it was just typical, which we didn't agree with. For the price, we expected better. We absolutely wanted to love it, but it just didn't live up to it.

Didn?t Fit Our Dog?s Needs

We tried PetPlate, getting a lot of good things said about them, hoping to have a healthier alternative to food. Our dog had a small allergic reaction to one of the ingredients and the customer support did not really help us, they sent us a generic message. It was days before we had any clue what was happening. We had to stop using it. The food may be pretty good for other dogs, our dog did not work with it. We ended up unhappy and will probably be hesitant to try anything similar.

Worth the Investment for Picky Eaters

Our dog has always been the most finicky eater. We have tried numerous brands, products, and formulas over the years, and nothing ever kept her interested for long. PetPlate has been a wonderful surprise?she has been interested in every single meal, and we've definitely noticed an improvement in her overall eating habits. We love that we can actually see the ingredients, and know exactly what she is eating! There is a noticeable freshness to each container, and the meals smell appetizing! She has had more predictable digestion, and has stabilized her energy levels. The website is easy to navigate, and we haven?t ever had a delivery issue! Our only minor complaint is that while the packaging is functional, it could be more environmentally friendly. Overall, we?re really impressed by how well PetPlate has worked for our dog. It has relieved us of the daily stress of feeding time, and gives us peace of mind that she is eating well-balanced meals developed by professionals. Noticeable Difference in Energy and Mood

After getting a recommendation for PetPlate from a friend, we chose to test it and we loved the results. Product Arrived Spoiled

We meant to try PetPlate but our first box had several containers of spoiled food. The container showed damage which leaked out from the box. We reached out right away and got a refund but that didn't give us the confidence to try again. For the price we would have expected much higher quality control. It was disappointing because we had really hoped this would work but with the spoiled item and our dog not caring we chose another option.

Reliable, Healthy, and Tasty

Having PetPlate in our lives has improved our dog?s health and happiness. Before, she would not care about her food, but now she looks forward to every meal. They use clean, easily identifiable ingredients and cook them, not leave them raw which suits us better. The goods are always delivered before their promised time and the packing always keeps the items cold and secure. The change from pregnancy to breastfeeding came without any digestive problems. The meals were not bad, but cancelling was a headache. Even though we clicked through to cancel on the website, we were charged again and received another box. That took a few phone calls and emails to sort out. That alone made us unwilling to try again. Noticeable Health Improvements

We have seen a noticeable difference in our dog's coat and energy level since we started offering PetPlate meals. The meals are clearly made with quality ingredients because our pup has cleaned his bowl every time. One great aspect that we have come to enjoy about PetPlate meals is the way they are served within the pre-portioned cups. Noticeable Improvement in Coat and Digestion

PetPlate has really transformed our dog?s total well-being. She has always shed a lot of hair, and had regular bouts of digestive distress. After switching to PetPlate, she has noticeably shinier fur and is shedding significantly less. Even more incredible is her digestion has actually improved almost immediately. No more upset stomach, and stools are almost always consistent. Meals arrive well-packaged, still frozen, and ready to throw in the freezer. We also like that the ingredients are visible, and the recipes are developed with a veterinary consultant. Our dog appears to be far more satisfied after each meal, and we have not needed to supplement her food at all with treats or food toppers. The convenience is also a blessing considering our very busy schedule. We are no longer required to plan additional trips to the grocery store to purchase dog food. Yes, the cost is higher, but the improvement in health and convenience from time perspective is well worth it. PetPlate has changed the outcome of our dog?s lifestyle, and all of our household quality of life.

Too Pricey for the Hassle

We were initially attracted to this brand due to its convenience as well as the potential for high quality food for our dog, but ultimately the experience did not fit the price point as we hoped. Our dog was not overly impressed and barely finished any of the food. The delivery was inconsistent, one shipment even arrived partially thawed. The support staff were polite, but anything we needed resolved took way too long to get info needed. And canceling was no picnic either. As a premium product that it claims to be, we had entirely different expectations with respect to overall service and our dog's response.

Healthier Dog, Happier Home

PetPlate has honestly made a difference for our dog?so it has made a difference for us. He was a frequent vomiter and had low energy?honestly, we were getting really worried about potential health problems in the future. Once we transitioned him onto PetPlate, it was a quick turn around. Within a couple weeks, his digestion was back to normal and his behavior was kid like again. The meals look real?chunks of sweet potatoes, meat and leafy greens?making it easy to feel confident about the quality. We like that the containers are easy to open and the meals are clearly marked for us. And getting meals delivered to our front door saves a tremendous amount of time. The customer service team is excellent, downright polite and always willing to help with any changes. It is definitely a financial commitment compared to bagged kibble, but the benefits in health have made this worth while several times over. Didn?t Meet Our Dog?s Needs

The food arrived timely and very well packed, yet our dog had digestive issues after the transition. We followed the transition plan as advised and tried both recipes, and he continued to have soft stools, and he did not seem to have any energy. We reached out to PetPlate for some recommendations. Their reps were lovely and apologetic, however, there wasn't much they could offer to help aside from a refund. It felt like we were left to our own devices. I liked the idea, but it obviously did not have enough customization to fit our dog's needs.

Moving to PetPlate has been very beneficial for our dog. Back then, he was a very choosy eater, but these days he loves having meals with us. Dog Didn?t Like the Food

I attempted to use PetPlate, but no luck my dog did not like it. I tried all of the different recipes and even mixed it with her normal food-- nothing, she just left it in the bowl. The customer service was good, and we ended up cancelling our subscription after the second one. I really wanted to like it, and was hoping for more especially given the price and the brand name.

Having a picky dog used to lead to meal-time problems, but PetPlate made it a lot simpler. She immediately goes to the kitchen whenever she hears the lid being opened. All the meals are served fresh, have the proper balance and include clear ingredients. Pre-portioned servings mean we can eat without worrying about food portions or leftovers. Dog Got Sick

Our Dog Lost Interest Quickly

Our dog was excited at first, but after several meals he stopped wanting to eat it. We tried using the different flavor, but he just would not eat it. For what we paid, we basically wasted our money and the experience was not even worth continuing with. Customer service was polite and friendly, but had no real suggestions. Deliveries arrive on time, and their packaging is responsible for keeping meals fresh and safe. Our dog loves the flavor, and since switching, she appears to have no digestive issues. I also appreciate that their food is made by chefs, but designed by vets. That gives us confidence on the nutritional value. Our Pup?s Favorite Part of the Day

Since we started using PetPlate, mealtime is our dog's favorite part of the day. He visibly gets excited when he knows we are opening the fridge and he finishes all of his food every time. We were apprehensive at first, but the proof is in the results. He is now more energetic, more playful, and appears to have a much easier time digesting his meals. We also love that everything is portioned specifically for him based on his weight and activity level. They are also great containers, easy to store, easy to stack, and made it easy to feed him. Customer support has been great. We needed to delay a shipment and it was dealt with very quickly and very easily. Even our vet has noticed how healthy he looks. Quality Control Needs Work

Since we had heard good things about PetPlate, we were excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, this did not pan out like the push. One of the dinners had a weird texture and one had a piece of plastic in it. We immediately contacted customer service and they were very apologetic and credited us for that shipment, but it was a bit shocking. Our dog eventually had this meal and quickly lost interest in it. It's unfortunate, because we liked the convenience, but this is unacceptable for a premium pet food product. It made us question how safe and consistent it really was.

Convenient and Health-Focused

We were interested in PetPlate mainly as a good way to serve our dog food meant for people and developed by experts. Maintaining our dog on these foods is due to noticing improvement in his or her health. She now gets around more, her weight is healthy and she has regular stools. Every meal is in a small portion which makes it simple to store and serve. Because their food is diverse, our dog no longer gets tired of his meals which was an issue when we fed him dry food. Their customer service is excellent?we got a box a little late, but they fixed it quickly and added credit to our account. If caring about your dog?s diet matters and you?re open to spending more, PetPlate is a wonderful choice. Thanks to it, we spend less time worrying, less money on visits and more time at home. Well worth tasting.

Trouble with Billing and Support

We had high hopes for PetPlate, but the whole process turned out to be stressful. After putting our plan on hold we were charged and we received another shipment. It took a while to reach support and they were slow to respond. Eventually they refunded the charge, but we had food stored that we didn?t want. The food was fine - not great - but we didn't feel it was worth the cost or the stress. We think managing the subscription should be simpler and less ambiguous communication would make the experience better.

The first week of PetPlate went fine, but we noticed our dog started to develop loose stools and stinky gas by the second week. We contacted PetPlate and they told us to transition more slowly. Perfect for Our Aging Dog

Our senior dog has really benefited from the meals from PetPlate. While aging, he started eating less and had some difficulties digesting several foods. We were looking for food that was gentle on his digestion and still healthy and PetPlate met all our needs. They are served soft, shaped for easy chewing and their ingredients are all recognizable by us. From the beginning, he felt comfortable with them and hasn?t run into any problems. It seemed like quality food, however our orders took longer than normal, a couple of times the time was almost double. I was concerned when we received part of our order thawed and I was again concerned about food safety. Our dog did eat some of the meals, but was not that enthusiastic. We tried PetPlate due to the promise of wholesome meals designed by vets. Our pet is allergic to chicken so we chose a meal that did not contain it. After a couple of meals she started to show signs of a reaction. It turned out there could have been cross-contamination or an undisclosed ingredient. Support was good and offered a refund but it left us gun-shy. If your pet has sensitivities be sure to read everything well and start slowly. It is not a one-size-fits-all.

Solid Choice for Fresh Feeding

We have been very happy with the food from PetPlate for our dog. All the meals are made with quality ingredients and it makes us feel secure about what we?re offering our pet. Inconsistent Shipping and Product

When we first signed up for PetPlate, we appreciated the openness and ease of enrollment. But after that, things started to fall apart. On our second shipment, we had issues including a late shipment and a box that was half thawed. The meals also looked different than our original order, some had more water, some were overcooked, and definitely inconsistency from batch to batch. My dog's reaction was all over the place! It just irritated us having that inconsistency, especially at this price point. After we had a couple of tries using it, we decided to give up and find something that was a little more constant and reliable.

Better Digestion and Less Waste

Our dog has always had a sensitive stomach and it was hard to find food that didn't upset him. Since switching to PetPlate, we amazingly haven?t seen any digestive troubles and his stool quality has improved significantly. We used to carry wipes on every walk, but now it?s just an easy cleanup. The food is made from ingredients we actually recognize and there is a big value in knowing that. Tasty and Nutritious for Our Pup

She loves it when PetPlate comes out and it gets her very excited. The recipes smell nice and the food appears as you would expect, instead of being a lump of mashed-up ingredients. You can tell the packaging will keep anything inside safe and the directions are clear. Her behavior is livelier and her coat is brighter now. Since the containers take up lots of space in the freezer, that could be a slight issue. Besides, the meals have consistently been of high quality, tasted delicious (as shown by her reactions) and were served well. We?ve been subscribers for three months and we intend to keep subscribing for a while.

Overall meals seems ok, however our dog was not a fan. We switched over according to directions, however he continued to have upset stomachs after 1 week I felt we had to go back to our normal food. At a certain cost, it seemed like much for something that simply did not meet its guarantees.

Improved Energy and Digestion

Our dog is more active now that we use PetPlate and their digestion works perfectly. He was slow after he ate, but now he is more active and attentive. We used the service for a few weeks, and it was not providing the value we had hoped for. The food was decent-looking, but the portion size was significantly smaller than we were expecting (given the price). Could Be Better with Portion Sizes

We have a medium dog and it was just the right amount. The amount was either too much leftover or not enough. The feeding guidelines really did not work for us and we were constantly adjusting how much we put in their dish. It was pretty much guesswork. Problems With Packaging and Freshness

The service was great in theory - healthy, pre-packaged, to your front door. In practice it wasn't that great. We received one of our boxes with a number of leaking containers, it had an odd smell, and we did not feel comfortable feeding it to our dog. Customer service gave us back a portion of it; but nothing more. Even the replacement was hastily packaged. It is not inexpensive to use this service, and problems like that made it not feel worth it.

It was one of the primary reasons we went with PetPlate for the stomach sensitivity with our dog. Unfortunately, there was no difference after using the meals. She continued to have inconsistent stools and still was gassy. We gave it a good shot, but nothing changed. Back to her previous food.
