Great Service with No Headaches

Poor Communication

There was really a lot of miscommunication throughout, and I had to follow up more than once or twice. The interest rate is also jacked up pretty high-it's a real turn-off.

Good Experience w/Some Hiccups

Generally speaking, I have had a pretty good experience with OneMain Financial. The application process was very smooth, and the staff were rather helpful. Overly Complex Process with High Interest Rates

I felt that it was a very not-smooth process. Paperwork took longer than expected, and the interest rates were really higher compared to my anticipation. Poor Communication and High Fees

I had a very bad experience with OneMain Financial. Poor communication, and the fees are not explained at all. I had to pay way more than the amount I borrowed. The customer service did not help me either when I tried to sort it out with them. I would definitely not recommend this company.

Hidden Fees and Bad Customer Service

I have had a pretty horrible experience with OneMain Financial. Everything sounded good on paper, but after I finally got my loan, I found out about all the hidden fees that nobody explained to me upfront. I tried calling customer service; not only were they uninformed, but they also seemed uninterested. I ended up having to pay so much more than what I borrowed, and just felt ripped off throughout the entire process. I would not recommend this company to others at all.

My overall experience with OneMain Financial is generally good. The loan officer seemed really nice and made it pretty easy. However, terms presented were not as competitive as I had hoped for. The interest rates were somewhat high, while the payback period was considerably short. I liked the efficiency, but the overall terms were somewhat 'off'. If you are in a real pinch, this may work, but if you can, seek other means.

Fast Service w MINOR Drawbacks

The whole process of the loan went by really fast and was so easy. This representative explained everything to me, very helpful, but I did notice that the interest rates were higher compared to other lenders. Still, I urgently needed money, so, I was cool with the terms. Generally speaking, all was OK; definitely, I'll be using their services again, but I would prefer a lower rate, of course.

My experience with OneMain Financial was overall positive. The process of applying for the loan was really smooth, and I was able to do all of it online, which made things a great deal more convenient for me. The customer service representative I dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable, and they made sure to explain all the terms and conditions of the loan clearly. Everything was handled so fast: I received the funds in my account the next day. One of my grudges is that the interest rates are pretty high.Because personal loans usually fall into a higher rate category, I was a bit disappointed that more competitive options would not be present. In any case, because I needed the funds urgently, quick service paid off in this particular situation. Even with higher interest rates, I would use OneMain Financial again in any instance where it became necessary to get a quick loan with reliability. The professionalism of the staff and the speed of the process were definite positives, but all others who consider using OneMain

Terrible Experience with Misleading Information

I generally had a bad experience with OneMain Financial. I was told for a certain amount that I would be eligible, but after all the paperwork was completed, the loan amount was cut without prior explanation. To top that off, the interest rate was much higher than discussed. This felt very misleading and quite unprofessional. I won't use their services again.
