A Nightmare from Start to Finish
My experience with Mutual Mortgage was hellish from beginning to end. At first, I liked their rate, but that's where the positives stop. The process of applying took what felt like forever, and I seemed to be calling constantly to get anything in writing. Even then, the info they sent was incorrect or hard to decipher. When I finally received my closing documents, there were discrepancies in the loan terms and hidden fees, which were not told to me. It was like they were just pushing me through without truly showing me what I would end up paying for. The whole ordeal has made me rethink my choice of lender completely. If anyone asked me to recommend a place, I would not go near Mutual Mortgage, and I would discourage anyone from using their service.

Stressful and Slow
My experience with Mutual Mortgage was extremely stressful and dragged. The whole process was far longer than I anticipated, and the communication was woefully lacking. There was very little proactive outreach, and I was left to wonder about the status of my application for what felt like a substantial amount of time. If I did reach out, I received vague responses at best. At worst, I didn't even receive a response. To top everything off, the fees were more than what was initially quoted. This, again, was disappointing and infuriating to realize. I spent months with this entire process and ultimately decided I wasn't moving forward. The entire situation was exhausting due to their non-professionalism and lack of communication. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who wanted a painless, easy experience.

Disinformation and Invisible Charges
I thought things would work well at Mutual Mortgage, but they really took me for a wild ride of bad surprises. At first, I was told no hidden fees and no bad surprises, and all the sudden it seems I received a multitude of hidden fees, and all their vague replies could be wrapped into the sentence 'it's just normal'. Finally, there was the small surprise that all terms of deal would change; all of it on me trying to figure out where everything had gone wrong. None of them tried to really explain things during my questions. Inconsistent replies would send me on another mission, trying to figure out how to get them on the right page. Eventually, by the time everything sorted itself out, a great amount of time wasted and loss of faith in a company, no recommendation and wouldn't use again.

Unresponsive and Unprofessional
The service I received from Mutual Mortgage was unresponsive and unprofessional. At first, I thought it was an okay company, but quickly, things became a nightmarish process. I have called several times to follow up on the status of my application, but they never returned my call. When I did finally reach someone, they didn't know what was going on and sounded completely disinterested in helping. I didn't feel like a customer at all. I was repeatedly promised that I would receive updates, but I never got any. The lack of professionalism during the whole process led me to my decision to pursue another lender. It is evident, in my own mind now, that Mutual Mortgage doesn't really care about customer satisfaction. If I were you, I would look elsewhere for a mortgage.

Wasted My Time and Effort
I can truly say that Mutual Mortgage wasted my time. The moment I applied, things were moving at a snail's pace. I kept waiting for updates and responses that never came. I had to follow up repeatedly just to get basic information about where I stood in the process. When I got a response, it was always vague, and it seemed like no one had the answers I needed. After weeks of waiting, I was told my application couldn't be processed due to some administrative error on their end. This left me feeling incredibly frustrated and disheartened. It felt like I had spent all that time and energy for nothing. There are plenty of other mortgage lenders who are more organized and responsive. I will not be going back to Mutual Mortgage, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I thought I would try Mutual Mortgage as I had seen some good reviews, but that was a real disappointment. They charged me more than I was expecting, and I didn't realize this until it was too late in the process. Then, when I tried to raise this with customer support, they were not much help and quite evasive. I was bounced around departments and got no proper answers. There were times I felt like the only person that cared about my loan, whereas they were intent on pushing the paperwork through regardless of my complaints. The rate seemed competitive, but the add-ons made it not worth it. I'm willing to pay for good service, but they failed to explain and communicate regarding the fees that made this process frustrating. It took weeks back-and-forth, and in the end, I withdrew my application and searched for a better lender.

Disappointing Experience All Around
My experience from beginning to end was one debacle in dealing with Mutual Mortgage. I thought I got a good deal by the quote until the final paperwork came in; the math just didn't match. They added hidden fees that were not quoted in advance. I had also incurred much time and effort from my side until the time these costs surfaced, which at the end had enraged me. On top of that, the customer service experience was awful. I found difficulty in reaching anyone for discussion of my concerns, and when I did reach someone, he gave me different responses. It took weeks for just basic updates. The process was much more stressful than it had to be. I expected so much professionalism and transparency. Needless to say, I am not returning to Mutual Mortgage again.

Very Poor Communication and Service
The communication with Mutual Mortgage was atrocious. I was assured that the company would regularly keep me posted about my loan. In fact, I had to chase down my loan officer just to get information. Calls would go unattended, and replies to emails were delayed by days. If a reply came through, the answer was always very vague and vague. It left me feeling I was always kept in the dark about the status of my loan, and the stress this gave me was simply unnecessary. Once I did reach someone, it seemed like no one knew my case. So, after a few weeks of this poor service, I opted to cancel my application. One should have known that bad communication is a red flag. In my hopes things would change for the better, I gave them a chance, but unfortunately, they did not. I do not think I would recommend Mutual Mortgage to anyone who cares for transparency and time-bound service.

Untrustworthy and Misleading
I deeply regret working with Mutual Mortgage. Their representatives had promised me things from the word go, only to deliver another thing altogether. They gave me a very nice rate initially but, once into the process, found hidden fees and higher costs that were never disclosed at the start. It was completely misleading, and there was no transparency at all. Every time I asked for clarity, the answer was vague or evasive. It was clearly a case where they wanted the deal closed and didn't want to give good service. It was when I was at the closing table, the price shot up so high, and it was like, "Oh well, you have no choice." After a lot of back-and-forth, frustration, I decided not to proceed. A company that does not stand straight and honest with you from day one is really hard to trust. I won't recommend Mutual Mortgage to anybody who wants things to be upfront and honest from the word go.
