The standard of goods of Mashibox isn't very even. There are some amazing ones, while other ones look poor and flimsy. I've had a few broken or faulty items, which is annoying. Although customer service has replaced them, it's annoying nonetheless. The value of the box is also highly inconsistent from one month to another. Some boxes are a bargain, while others are a rip-off. This inconsistency makes it difficult to justify the recurring cost. I would like to see more emphasis on quality control and delivering a consistent value proposition.

Overpriced Samples

Mashibox is too expensive for what it is. Many of the products are sample-sized, which is okay for testing new products, but it's not good value for the price of the subscription. I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get full-sized products. The curation also doesn't feel right. I've gotten a few items that bear no relation to my profile. I wonder if they actually look at the preferences that I've given. I don't know if I'll renew my subscription.

Not Worth the Money

I think Mashibox is not worth it. The value of items that they send is sometimes lower than what you pay for the subscription. I've calculated, and I would be able to purchase the same products separately cheaper. Surprise is great, but not at the expense of overpaying for things that I may not even enjoy. The variety of products is also patchy. It's good one month and terrible the next, but generally speaking, I am not impressed. I would not recommend it.

Hit or Miss

Mashibox is somewhat hit or miss. Some months are wonderful, with a great variety of products that I look forward to testing. Other months are a total disappointment, with a lot of filler products that I don't need. The inconsistency makes it difficult to rationalize the price. I'm also not satisfied with the packaging. The products are usually loose in the box, and some have been damaged upon arrival. Customer service has been good, but it would be ideal if these problems did not occur at all.

False Advertising

I think Mashibox is misleadingly marketed. The site makes you believe that the boxes are heavily customized, yet my experience has been anything but. I have received a few items that have absolutely nothing to do with what I like. It feels like they just add random products into the box without taking individual preferences into account. The value is also in question. I've added up the retail cost of the products, and it's usually less than what the subscription costs. It feels like I've been tricked.

Poor Customer Service

My experience with Mashibox has been negatively impacted by poor customer service. I had an issue with a damaged product, and it took weeks to get a response from customer service. When they finally did respond, they were unhelpful and dismissive. This lack of support is unacceptable, especially for a subscription service. It makes me hesitant to continue my subscription.

Low-Quality Products

The product quality in Mashibox is problematic. I've gotten a few products that are poorly made and seem to be fragile. Some products have even been damaged or defective upon arrival. The absence of quality control is a serious problem. I don't want to pay for products that will disintegrate after a couple of uses. I'd prefer to spend more money on better-quality products, even if I have to spend a bit extra.

Not Personalized

Even after completing a comprehensive profile, the Mashiboxes I've received have not been personalized in any way. I've gotten a number of items that are totally unrelated to my interests. It makes me question whether they even read the profiles. The product picks are random and generic. I was hoping for a more customized experience, but I've been let down.

Waste of Money

To me, Mashibox is a waste of money. The products' value is frequently lower than the price of the subscription. I can purchase the same products on my own for cheaper. Surprise is exciting, but it is not worth paying more for items that I may not even like. The quality of the products is also unreliable. Some months are good and some are not, but on average, I am not impressed. I would not recommend it.

The packaging of Mashibox can be improved. The products are usually loose inside the box, and some have been damaged upon arrival. Fantastic Box!

Great Value and Fun

Mashibox is great fun to try new beauty and lifestyle products. Value is usually excellent; I've had a number of full-size products which are just wonderful.
