Follow-up Bad

On paper, IMG Global is fine; follow-up service isn't. I had to follow up on updates and wait for weeks on the claim process, which finally settled with reimbursing me but seemingly more work than it had to be. Next time, I'll find something else.

Coverage Isn't Comprehensive

The coverage from the policy that I purchased from IMG Global didn't cover anything I think should have been included. There were exclusions that I wasn't made aware of during signup, which meant some medical services had to be paid for out-of-pocket. Their customer service is friendly and can't offer much by the way of helping resolve issues.

Great Coverage for Expats

Redundancy in Claim Settlement

IMG Global process is ridiculous. It demanded an overwhelming number of documents and delayed responses. Although they have good coverages, the concept behind this all will be utter confusion, which is not how one would end up feeling. They may get it right next time.

Comprehensive and Affordable

IMG Global actually offers a pretty much complete travel insurance plan at a very affordable price. I had purchased the cover when I was traveling across South America for three months. Knowing that minor issues or emergencies would be covered relaxed me during that period of traveling. So, bottom line, the peace of mind all alone saved me enough stress from actually having to file a claim, so worth it. Also, the sign-up process was very smooth, and their website made comparing all the different plans very simple. And I knocked off a star simply because, quite frankly, I never had to file a claim personally; otherwise, I would be very happy with the service.

Lack of Coverage Clarity

They were vague about the coverage of IMG Global. I was informed abroad that my plan does not include what I initially thought it had. This made me run into unwanted out-of-pocket spendings. Their customer services could not help me much either. I deserve more from a big company.

Undue Delays in Settlements

My reimbursement was delayed in settlement and did take up a lot of my time in having to contact IMG Global so many times after I filed the claim. I really wanted something more simplified yet agile. Coverage is alright, but their claims department really needs improvement. Maybe next time, I'll not think that way.

Very Unresponsive Support

IMG Global certainly does have an excellent value plan, but customer care seems a little lame. After filing a claim, it was an inordinate wait for them to get back to me, and the process itself seemed so complicated. They should apparently hurry up with responding to make customers not feel relegated to the back of the office.

Customer Service Needs Improvement

Not as responsive from IMG Global with regard to customer service. It's really hard to reach them so that things about coverage could be straightened out. The waiting lines are long and frustrating over the telephone. So all in all, insurance is okay, but customer support has to be improved on that one.

Delays in Claims

Perfect for Fun-time Travelers

I have been with IMG Global for more than two years now because I travel a lot due to work and for fun. I really like what they offer regarding the flexibility of their plans. I took their long-term coverage in Europe, and they always did what they said they could do. When I had to visit a specialist outside the country, I was able to file my claim without hassle. The reimbursement went back in a pretty good timeframe. Furthermore, the support team of customers is always responsive and helpful. It could be the clarification needed on my policy or even just having them assist with making a claim. The online portal is easy to use, and I manage my account and submit claims accordingly. Their coverage options are flexible and adaptable to my requirements, as well as their network of medical providers in most countries around the world was impressive. For long-term travelers like myself, IMG Global is an excellent, reliable provider in which I could put my trust. Would definitely recommend them.

Just Okay

IMG Global wasn't terrible, but it wasn't spectacular either. The insurance was well-priced, but getting a claim done took much longer than what I had expected. It took multiple calls in order to finally get updates, and their customer service wasn't very responsive, to say the least. It's good if you just need some basic coverage, though. Don't expect premium service, though.

Quick and Easy Claims Process

Img Global has been my source of international health insurance; I have been very satisfied with their service. I had to make a claim last year, which all went smoothly. I presented the documents, and within two weeks of that, I got the reimbursement. Actually, their customer support team was too good as they guided me at every step, and I felt they were interested in helping my case. Slow Reimbursement Process

The coverage was pretty good. But reimbursement is slow. There is much follow-up. It is frustrating when things have to get done this way. Customer service people are polite but pretty ineffective. I may look elsewhere for the next ones so claims can be handled a little easier.

Excellent for Peace of Mind

Saved Me from a Stressful Situation

IMG Global came in handy during my trip to Southeast Asia. At a time when I needed proper hospitalization while traveling, I fell ill and was hospitalized. Coverage Wasn't What I Expected

I purchased IMG Global because of their broad claim of coverage for travel. However when I really needed it, during a medical emergency, there was much that I would have liked to have, only to find out too late aren't actually covered. I lost hours and hours poring over the headache of trying to navigate the system, only to be appalled to discover that certain exclusions apply. Customer service was unhelpful, and it took an awful long time to get an effective answer. Much of my treatment I had to pay for myself, which was very frustrating. It felt like their policy isn't as transparent as I thought when signing up the first time. In the end, I would not recommend IMG Global to travelers who need coverage beyond the basic level.

Affordable and comprehensive

Terrible Customer Service

IMG Global had a good plan on paper, but when it was time to file a claim, I had some major issues. The customer service was very slow, even about getting an update on a case-they took weeks. Resubmitted same documents several times, and that causes undue delay. The reimbursement process was very confusing, so I ended up paying out of pocket for most of my medical expenses while abroad. Since the insurance is very cheap, frustration with their customer service in dealing with them outweighed the savings that I would make. Hopefully they improve their communication and claims processing in the future.
