Overall, it felt like a waste of money, and I won't be ordering again.

Terrible service and quality

First, the meals arrived late, and when they did arrive, the packaging was damaged. Some ingredients were not properly chilled, and I was worried they could have spoiled. Calling their customer service, it took days for them to get back to me, and when they finally did, they offered very little in compensation or to resolve the problem. The quality of food was not great either. The flavors were off, and the ingredients didn't taste fresh. The meals weren't as convenient as I thought they would be either. Poor quality for the price

I have tried several meal subscription services, and I thought that Hungryroot was a great choice; however, it just didn't work for me. The meals were very bland and tasted anything but fresh. I was also disappointed in the portion sizes, which were much smaller than expected. A meal of similar quality could have been made from my local grocery store for half the price. Delivery also became an issue. A couple of times, my box would arrive with missing ingredients, and I had to call customer service multiple times to get them replaced. The customer support wasn't very responsive or helpful, and it felt like they weren't invested in trying to resolve my issues. Overall, for the price paid, I didn't get the value or quality expected from them. I won't be continuing with the service.

Not worth the money

I signed up for Hungryroot expecting high-quality meals that were convenient, and boy, was I wrong. Most of the meals were relatively bland and didn't have any depth of flavor. It felt like some of these ingredients were processed, whereas they really market themselves as health. I also had problems with their app and website being hard to navigate. It felt like I couldn't modify my meals, which made the overall experience frustrating. And on top of that, several of my deliveries were late. The customer support team also didn't seem to care; they were really slow in their responses and unhelpful when I tried to get my issue resolved. Given that, I would expect much better from the company. In fact, after a few weeks of trying, I did cancel. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.

I just don't get all the hype surrounding Hungryroot. The meals were, at best, underwhelming. Many of them didn't taste fresh, and I had to throw some away because the ingredients arrived soggy and bruised. What really frustrated me was the delivery process. I had multiple orders delayed, which meant I had to deal with spoiled ingredients more than once. When I reached out to customer service, they were unhelpful and slow to respond. It took about a week for me to get one of my overdue orders refunded. I did have very high expectations with Hungryroot, which turned out to be not fulfilled at all by the very end. Food wasn't delicious, the service was subpar, and I literally felt every week like throwing money in the trash. Of course, I'm canceling my subscription and searching for something different.

I wouldn't say my experience was a complete disaster, but it certainly wasn't worth the price. I have since canceled my subscription.

I was very excited when I started with Hungryroot, and they let me down on many levels. Things were somewhat bland, with some ingredients tasting like they had not been picked or chosen at a particularly fresh stage of their life. A few meals cooked weirdly; I just tossed them away. The portion sizes were also less than expected, and I was still hungry after eating. I also had some problems with delivery: twice, my boxes came late, and the food in them was not fresh. Customer service was hard to reach, and when I did finally get a response, they didn't offer much in the way of resolution. I wanted to give it a fair shot, but in the end, it didn?t work for me.
