Worth Every Penny

Impressive Quality and Service

Disappointed with the Quality
I have recently ordered a few items from Hammond's Candies. I can say that my experience was rather disappointing. Candy was stale, and chocolate coating was too thick to the point of leaving this waxy aftertaste. The customer service wasn't very responsive, either, adding to my frustration. Also, the way they were packaged was awful; a couple of them arrived melted. Given the high price point, I expected much better quality. I won?t be purchasing from them again.

Unacceptable Customer Service
After hearing so much hype about Hammond's Candies, I was eager to try their products, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The candy itself was fine, but when I had an issue with my order, the customer service was shockingly bad. I e-mailed them about items missing, and it wasn't only that it took forever to reply to, but when they finally did, they were really unhelpful. Without even an apology for this inconvenience. Really, given the premium claims of this company, I had expected so much more.

A Total Letdown
I really wanted to love Hammond's Candies. The way things were, I was far from satisfied with my experience: it came melted-a big warning there. But what really annoyed me was the lack of transparency, adding to that poor packaging. I paid more for quicker delivery, which took ages to arrive than I was expecting. Seeking help, it sounded so robotic, with no inclination actually to solve the issue at all. Having so many great reviews made it feel like some kind of mistake, but one such order was enough to give me second thoughts regarding the placement of my next order.

Product Not Worth the Price
I had heard great things about Hammond's Candies, but my first purchase didn't exactly live up to what I'd heard. Overly sweet, it wasn't deep in flavor; at that price, one really does expect a much richer taste and quality ingredients. It tasted like the caramel had artificial flavoring, while the chocolate was overly sugary. Their customer service also didn't impress me as the response was generic upon complaints of my experience with the candy. That is so sad, since it's such a wonderfully regarded company.

Hammond's Candies was right in line with all my expectations: high hopes and very low results. It had nice packaging, but the candy was way too sweet, almost cloying. The chocolate tasted old, and it had an aftertaste I did not like. I also had some problems with shipping: my order was late, and it arrived much later than it was supposed to. Too Much Hype, Not Enough Flavor
It came from my friends' recommendations to Hammond's Candies, which, for me, had a less-than-perfect experience: overly sweet and with almost no depth of flavors. The chocolate tasted flavorless, and the caramel, on the other hand, was extremely sticky. A few of these even had to be trashed since they arrived at my place in a molten state and couldn't be consumed. I also once dialed their customer service number, and that too was pretty unsupportive. When something has such a big reputation and does not live up to it, well-that's a real disappointment.

I am quite frustrated with Hammond's Candies. Their website indicated the delivery dates, but that did not hold true. The chocolates were a number of days late. A number of the chocolates had melted, and the candy was hard and stale. It took days to hear back from customer service with an inquiry, and they just apologized without any kind of compensation. No candy is like Hammond's Candies; their chocolate is smooth, creamy, and rich, as is their caramel. Well, recently I ordered their caramels smothered in chocolate, and they tasted out of this world. The sweetness was perfectly in place, and the texture wasn't flawed at all. Hammonds has just turned out to be synonymous for us. Their chocolates are rich, smooth, and full of flavor, a class apart. Some weeks back, we tried the Milk Chocolate Caramels of theirs, and I was heaven knows where. The consistency of the chocolate was ideal and the caramel so intensely sweet minus excess sugar. Consistently Outstanding Experience
Each time we have ordered through Hammond's Candies, it has been a great experience. From the classic chocolate bars, to elaborately prepared truffles, and offerings related to seasons-one would always find the best quality taken to prepare each piece. I just like the assortment of types, which includes sea-salt caramels in them, where salty versus sweet has just a good balance, and on the web, the way buying would flow through gets smoother. Delivery is fast, and I like that their packages are all well-wrapped, without any pieces broken upon delivery. Family-owned makes it even better, in a way. Best Chocolate I?ve Ever Had!
There are a lot of chocolate brands out there, but Hammond's Candies is the best. I have tried several of their products, and I am never disappointed. The richness of the chocolate is simply unbeatable, and the smooth fillings inside are a delightful surprise with every bite. My personal favorite is their chocolate-covered toffee: crunchy, buttery, and coated in the finest chocolate. If you want quality candies that will meet and satisfy any sweet tooth, Hammond's Candies should be your one-stop shop. I've tried many of their products; each one is better than the last. Our house simply adores their milk chocolate caramel bites. Inside, the caramel was velvety smooth, with the chocolate outside having the just-right sweetness to make everything melt in my mouth. Disappointing Experience
Expected a bit more from Hammond's Candies, but it seemed to be a big letdown. The chocolates were too sweet and didn't hold that depth of flavor that I was expecting. On top of this, when it finally arrived, the items were damaged. Not planning on ordering anytime soon.

Good but Too Sweet
The chocolates were fine from Hammond's Candies, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Some pieces tasted nice and balanced, but others were just extremely sugary. Solid, But Could Be Better
Hammond's Candies has a great variety of chocolates, and for the most part, they are of great quality. I think there is some room for improvement on some flavors. Too Expensive for the Quality
I was not impressed much with Hammond's Candies. While the packaging was nice and the candies looked great, the taste did not live up to the expensive price. Best Candy I've Ever Had
I have tried a bunch of candies over the years, but Hammond's Candies is the best by far. The flavor, texture, and quality of each single piece were outstanding. Specially, I was very pleased with the chocolates filled with caramel in them. They were perfectly smooth, rich, and not cloying at all; the real treat for all connoisseurs of qualitative chocolate. I had a very bad experience with Hammond's Candies. It was late, and the item came in damaged after shipment. I called customer service, and they were slow in getting back to me. Okay, But Not Great
I was really looking forward to Hammond's Candies, and they did an okay job, but I didn't think they lived up to the hype. The chocolates are fine but not great. A lot of the fillings tasted either too sweet or just overall flat to me, and the chocolate itself was a little bit too thick. It's okay if you have a sugar craving, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy more.

Disappointed with My Recent Order
I have been a fan of Hammond's Candies for years; however, my recent experience was very disappointing. These chocolate bars had melted, and some of them had broken while being delivered. Not What I Expected
I had such high hopes for Hammond's Candies, and, honestly, it was just not impressive. The chocolates themselves tasted highly artificial, while the fillings were less flavorful than I hoped they might be. Also, candies were just a little hard. Perhaps I got an inferior batch, but in general, I felt this candy company to be unimpressive. So hyped for much more.
