Policy Adjustment Problems

One was helpful when I first purchased my policy, but I had problems when I needed to make adjustments. Changing my coverage details was slow, and it wasn't seamless as I had expected. I had to follow up severally for the changes I had requested to appear on my policy. It took a little longer than expected, and this is something I would have loved to see go a bit faster: adjustments.

Underwhelming Customer Support

Insurance policies with GuideOne are good, but their customer support is somewhat below average. Their support for the times I was calling in to inquire about my policy was not as thorough as I had expected. They sounded overwhelmed, with most of them giving just blanket responses that ultimately left me with more questions than answers. Better and more personalized support would go a long way toward enhancing the experience for customers.

Delayed Payment Processing

I was delayed with the payment processing once the claim was filed. GuideOne finally accepted my claim but took longer than anticipated to issue the payment. I had to call several times before I finally got any kind of update. I would have liked timelier and more proactive communication regarding my payment status.
