Did the Opposite of What I Needed
I bought Function of Beauty after reading tons of good reviews. I took the quiz seriously and chose goals like curl definition, anti-frizz, and moisture. I thought it would finally help my curls stay defined and less dry. But instead, it flattened my curls and made my hair super frizzy. It felt stripped and dry right after washing, even with the conditioner. I tried reducing the frequency of use, but even then it didn?t help. The scent was okay (I chose pear), but it wasn?t enough to make up for the poor results. My hair ended up looking worse than before. I eventually had to stop using it because my ends started breaking. I had such high hopes for this because of the customization and sleek branding, but it did nothing I expected. In fact, it did the opposite. Definitely wouldn?t buy it again.

Great Product, Minor Flaws
The idea of customizing your shampoo and conditioner was what pulled me in, and overall it delivered. I added hair strengthening, oil control, and thermal protection. It took about two weeks to arrive, but once it did, the packaging was great. The scent I chose (eucalyptus) is super refreshing. My only complaint is that I wish the scent lasted longer in my hair. That aside, the texture is really smooth, and my hair doesn?t get oily as fast anymore. I?ve already reordered once and will probably keep using it for the foreseeable future.
