Disappointed with Slow Communication
Based on the other reviews, I had high expectations for Five Lakes Law Group, however I didn't get what I expected. I eventually received assistance with my financial predicament, however the quality of the service was completely lacking. The staff was professional, but the advice I got was quite generic?as if I were just another file on their desk. When it came to a delicate subject like bankruptcy, this strategy did not inspire trust. Sometimes I thought I was in charge of the process instead of them. What really baffles me is that I was using them to illustrate my experience.

Mixed Experience with Communication Issues
My experience at Five Lakes Law Group was anything but ideal. Although they seemed pretty helpful at first, I met a problem soon after over slow communication. Every time I had questions or concerns that I approached them with, I would often wait several days or even over a week for their response. It was really frustrating to feel not wholly sure of what was going on and, therefore, not fully invested in it. This is frustrating because my case was not taken seriously. I understand that the legal processes take time, but some updates along the line or quicker responses would have made quite a difference. In the end, they did help come to some conclusions regarding my debt problems, but the lack of response added unnecessary stress to an already insufferable situation. Maybe they will be able to improve their communication in order to make future clients feel more valued and attended to.

Very disappointing Service Quality
I went in expecting so much more out of Five Lakes Law Group based on the previous reviews, but that wasn't what I experienced. I finally got help with my financial situation, but the service was just so utterly underwhelming. The team was professional; however, the guidance I received was quite general, like I was another file on their desk. This approach did not inspire confidence regarding such a sensitive issue as bankruptcy. At times, I felt that I was actually leading the process rather than them. And yet, I was drawing my experience from them, which really gets me confused. While they did help, I think they could help a little better in their approach to clients by being more sympathetic and having a much different path for every case. Overall, I thought my experience should have been much more supportive.

A Bit Disappointing for the Cost
For services that go for what Five Lakes Law Group charges, I would expect to see much more detailed handling and proactive approach. Needless to say, my experience was not of that caliber and, therefore lacked what it takes to make expectations become realities. They finally helped me out during my bankruptcy proceedings, but at times I felt I had to be in their office asking for updates and clarifications regarding my case. The service was not bad at all, but certainly not worth what I paid for. There were moments when I felt ignored, and some documents contained even incorrect information and this further prolonged the process. It would be great if they were more careful in dealing with bankruptcy cases since it's a critical matter. A quality service that is hands-on, not some follow-the-leader kind of experience, was what I paid for, not one that requires chasing answers. I hope they can improve the client experience for others in the future.
