Overhyped and underdelivered, not worth it
I tried ezcater for the office lunch, and what a total disappointment. The glitchiness in online ordering was the first part of it all. I couldn't make the right selections. The whole thing took far more time than it ought to. When the food came out, the quality did not measure up with high pricing. Some dishes were cold; others were overcooked. The portions were undersized compared to what was expected; even then, there wasn't that much variety. We also didn't get everything that we ordered, and there were some wrong substitutions without our knowledge. The customer service woman I spoke with when I called didn't seem that interested in hearing my complaint. They provided a small credit and did not really seem too anxious to rectify the situation. Overall, it felt like ezCater had over-promised and under-delivered, and I won't be using them again.

Order was delivered 30 minutes late, and food was cold when it came out. Food quality was not bad but nothing amazing either. The price deserved at least better service. Shall not be ordering through ezCater again for upcoming events.

Missing items and confusion

Poor customer service and incomplete order
I had high expectations when ordering for a corporate event through ezcater, but the whole experience was disappointing. The food arrived late?about 45 minutes past the scheduled delivery time?causing major inconvenience to our event. Moreover, a number of menu items were not available, and that brought a lot of inconvenience, forcing us to pass over some dishes. Trying to resolve the issue with the help of customer service, I got on hold for more than 20 minutes and eventually received an answer that they were able to refund only a minimal percentage of the cost. There was no considerable compensation regarding the missing dishes and the inconvenience caused. It's just like they really didn't care about the customer experience. Considering that the service was bad, I will never use ezcater again, and I wouldn't recommend it for any significant events or even corporate catering.
