Lovely presentation

Brilliant for stews

Family dinner winner

Trustworthy service

Authentic taste

Flavour nice but chewy lamb
Tried their lamb chops and they were too chewy, harder to enjoy than I expected. Colour was good and flavour was solid, but texture felt off. Packaging kept it cold and fresh though, delivery was on time. Overall okay meat but didn?t match expectations?some pieces just tough.

Not the quality I expected
I ordered a steak box hoping to impress some friends for a BBQ night. The packaging was fine and it all arrived chilled, but honestly the meat just didn?t seem that great. A couple of the steaks were oddly thin and cooked way too quick, others were okay but not super tender. Maybe I got a bad batch? Hard to tell. For the price I thought I?d get something better. Haven?t decided if I?ll try again or not. Not totally awful, just underwhelming.

Superb lamb
I tried the diced lamb for a Moroccan tagine, and it was fabulous. Colour was vibrant and flavour deep. Packaging was really good to keep it fresh. Definitely high quality and worth the price.

Flavorful but pricey
Tried their steaks, flavour was noticeable but not spectacular. Price felt high for what I got compared to local butcher. Delivery was fine and meat fresh, but maybe better value places exist.

Packaging ok, cut size odd
Ordered short ribs, expecting pre-cut pieces, but got chunky whole ribs with long bones. Packaging kept them cold, but it took extra prep to cut. Emailed support but didn?t get a reply. Meat quality itself was fine?tasted good when cooked?but was inconvenient for what I planned. Good taste, just wish communication was better and cut accurate to description.

Great for gifts
Bought a meat box as a gift for my parents, they loved it. Said meat was tender and flavoursome and delivery packaging was impressive. Lovely touch, really.

Fine for BBQ, small portions
Bought a BBQ bundle?tasty, packed well, delivery okay. But portion sizes were smaller than pictured and my partners noticed. Taste was solid though. Would order again only if size matched picture.

Delivery let it down
I was honestly excited to try Eat Great Meat after hearing good stuff, but delivery really ruined the experience. The meat box arrived a day late and the ice packs were already melted. While the meat wasn?t warm exactly, it wasn?t fully chilled either, and that worried me a bit. Emailed them but no reply for over 3 days. Eventually got a response but no offer of refund or replacement. Shame because the meat looked fine otherwise, just can?t trust the delivery part again.

Good barnside taste, communication poor
Meat had that Yorkshire farm taste, really nice. But I emailed to ask about shelf life and didn?t get any answer. So while I loved eating it, I felt unsure about how long to keep it. Communication needs improvement despite good quality.

Superb roast beef

Easy and reliable

Good product, awkward packaging
Meat arrived securely but packaging made it tricky to open. Had to use scissors and nearly cut into the meat. Quality was fine, reasonably tasty but packaging clutter took extra time. Would prefer simpler presentation.

Taste of Yorkshire
I?m no expert cook but this tasted real?deal. Cuts were beautifully trimmed and had that authentic farm taste. Delivery was right when promised and packaging was tidy. Felt more like a proper farm shop than supermarket meat. Very happy customer.

Proper butcher cuts

Good hygiene but inconsistent quality
Checked their hygiene rating (Good, Jan 2025), felt reassured. Meat came well chilled and clean. But some cuts had more sinew than expected, tougher to eat. Others were fine. Overall okay but not all portions hit quality mark.

Average beef appearance
Ordered diced beef for a stew?colour okay but bits were smaller than I'd normally expect. Meat cooked fine and flavour was decent, but pieces disintegrated in slow cook. Not bad, just average result.

Disappointed with customer service
I had placed a decent-sized order with high hopes, but one of the main cuts I paid for was missing from the box. Tried calling, no answer, and my email took over a week to get a response. They finally sent a reply but didn?t offer any proper solution?just a vague apology. The meat I did receive was alright in terms of quality, but not enough to make up for the poor service. Felt like I wasn?t really valued as a customer, which was frustrating.

Great for BBQ nights
Got a mix of steaks for a weekend BBQ and they were top notch. Nice marbling and cooked perfectly rare as requested. Delivery temperature was ideal. Mate even asked where they were from. Definitely be getting more next time.

Good taste, mixed trimming
Delivered on schedule in chilled box. Beef looked fresh, flavour was alright, but trimming was inconsistent?some fat left, some meat trimmed too close. Means some portions over fatty, others a bit lean. Would prefer more consistent butcher finish.

Fresh quality every time

Lovely organic feel

Delivery time tight window
Cuts arrived at the earliest end of delivery window and the box was cool but nearly warm. Meat was still edible but I felt a bit nervous about temperature. Flavour was okay, nothing special but edible. Packaging could be improved.
