Great Concept, But Overpriced

I loved the concept of doing my own whiskey, but for what I'm paying for, it is just too steep. The custom is nice, but at this price point, I would expect a premium whisky. The taste was decent but not much more superior than well-known brands that can be bought much cheaper. I'd order again if they lowered their price or somehow made the whisky itself better. I'll stick with my usual favorites till then.

It's one of a kind to make your own whiskey. How awesome. Well, the taste is above average, but the quality should be there too. My whiskey lacked rich complexities. I have tasted better bottles for half the money. Customization is awesome, but if the product itself isn't that great, then experience sucks.

I was very excited, but the whiskey I got was too bland for my liking. I had followed the recommendations for my blend, and it fell very flat. For what it was costing, I could have gotten a great single malt that was many years old from a name company. The bottle is nice, but the whisky was anything but.

The bottle and label looked beautiful, but the whiskey in it was, honestly, run-of-the-mill. I did expect a super-smooth complexity, but in terms of a taste, that's pretty ordinary. The ability to customize is fun and all, but at this price, I don't think so again unless the quality of their whiskey improves greatly. Great gift idea, however, not good for serious enthusiasts.

If you're just looking for a fun, customizable whiskey, this might be okay for you. But you're not going to like it, though, if you are a whiskey connoisseur. Flavors are just basic and the depth is just not there. My money, I'll rather go for this bottle from a re-known distillery at this price.
