Reliable and Affordable Price
For the past year or so, I have always been using Dairyland Insurance as my car insurance. With regards to pricing, it goes without saying that their rates are quite affordable considering the other companies with which I have used my insurance in the past. They provided a quote which I used in purchasing my policy easily, and their website is also really easy to manage my account through. I called customer service once for something rather minor; they promptly resolved the issue. Otherwise, it has been very smooth with Dairyland, and I feel secure due to the coverage I have.

It has been pretty easy to work with Dairyland Insurance from the beginning. I did not have much of an issue when setting up my policy. Smooth Claims Process

Dairyland Insurance really has huge issues with the processing of claims. It took over a month before they even initiated to process my claim after my car got involved in a vehicle collision. In the phone call, I kept on having to call them to ask for an update about my claim and every time I called them, they told me that they are still 'working on it.' Not having a sense of urgency is really frustrating. I had my car in the repair shop for weeks waiting to hear back from Dairyland regarding my claim. When they finally processed my claim, I was relieved, but by then it was all too much trouble and stress with the delay. If you want to have an insurance firm process claims without many delays, that firm is not going to be Dairyland. The insurance rates may be on par with those of other insurance firms, but the lousy service really isn't worth the hassle.

Not helpful in Time of Crisis
I was having my worst experience with Dairyland Insurance when my car broke down and got me roadside services. It was at this time when I dialed up the customer service line thinking that I would get some pretty easy assistance, but it put me on hold for nearly about 30 minutes and didn't even try to give clear instructions as to what was exactly needed. Eventually, I had to organize for towing myself and pay out of pocket, though I was covered. Filing a claim for reimbursement was another pain-the slow responses, confusing paperwork. The amount took over a month to receive any refund, and it wasn't even near what I had paid in the first place. For a company which states it provides roadside assistance services, Dairyland really hit rock bottom with this one. I would like more support in times of emergency, but when I needed them, they were nowhere. I would not recommend their services to anyone seeking reliable assistance.

I chose Dairyland seeing its competitive rates. So far though, my experience is not good. Within a few months, I started noticing charges on my account without any mention of what they were for. Extremely hard cancellation
I cancelled my insurance with Dairyland due to a succession of very frustrating occurrences. The price was not as competitive as promised. I tried to cancel and just got delayed after delayed unfriendly customer service. Everybody transferred me to somebody else. No one ever managed to process my request. It took more than two weeks for them to actually cancel the policy, at which point I was still paying for something I did not want. But to rub salt on the wound, I was never to get that confirmation e-mail from them regarding my cancellation. I would never in my life recommend Dairyland to anyone who intends to really take care of his or her time or have any insurance protection by being a bit smoother. It shouldn't be that difficult to cancel a policy, and this whole experience was astonishing for the lack of professionalism involved.

Claims Process is a Nightmare
Claims Process is an absolute nightmare of Dairyland. After my car had a minor accident, it took a long time to get anything moving. I presented the required paperwork. Weeks went by without any update. Whenever I called, I continued to get the runaround from reps who seemed not to know what was going on with my claim. It was frustrating at times being shunted from one department to another without any clear end in sight. They finally processed my claim after a series of follow-ups. I already shelled out money for repairs at this point. The worse is that they did not communicate with me at all; they will not let me know of the delays or problems unless I called myself. Even though their premiums are very low, this problem of handling their claims puts a hassle on me to bother with Dairyland. So, I will soon be changing to another provider.
