Love the Budgeting Tools

Current's budgeting tools have actually kept very good tabs on my spending money. I used to be pretty atrocious at handling money, but now my money is accounted for every month in great detail. This has definitely changed the game for me.

Very User-Friendly

Best Mobile Banking Experience

I recently switched over to Current six months ago, and so far, it's been the best banking experience. It's intuitive, and the early paycheck feature is a lifesaver. No hidden fees, and I really do like cash-back rewards. Fee-free overdraft protection has been super helpful, and customer service always answers me back promptly when I have questions. No issues with transaction, and budgeting tools have kept me on top of my finances. Current is excellent for all those who seek a modern, easy-to-use banking app that benefits them with great rewards while not having the hassle that traditional banks present.

Frustrating Customer Service

I wanted to like Current, but my experience has been more frustrating than anything else. The app is decent, but less reliable than I had anticipated. They've gotten occasions when transactions failed without my balance updating for hours. I mailed the customer service a letter about it but the service was amazingly slow and helpful. It took nearly close to a week to receive a reply and then even then they seemed not much interested in solving the problem. Problems with ATM fees incurred during my account proved ironic given the business model, which is supposed to be free. Given its limited scope of ATM network, I've faced fees more than not. And so it sums up, with me being fairly unsatisfied with the Current service. Unless they make some major improvements, I don't see myself hanging around this service much longer.

App Issues and Poor Customer Service

Based on what I expected from Current, my experience has unfortunately been really frustrating. The app is pretty glitchy?there have been times when the app would freeze or the app would not allow me to load my balance. My experience with the customer service has remained so disappointing to date. It took about a week and half since calling in on one of my problems, yet the follow-up call was nothing better. This is part of the shortcomings that have, up to this point disappointed me greatly, as I have been accustomed to fast banking with efficiency. The latter concern remains on having limited access to ATM in-network as it accumulates withdrawal fees from quite a number of sources. It is frustrating to deal with this when the app promotes fee-free banking. The positive about an early paycheck came in handy, however - negatives out would weigh positives in my book - I'm looking elsewhere now for better banking reliability and responsiveness.

Good for Everyday Business

Current has been perfect for my everyday banking needs. I've used it almost for a year now, and the app is very intuitive and reliable. The early paycheck feature is just loved?it gives one that peace of mind to know that the money will be there well ahead of regular time. No-fee overdraft protection has saved the day several times. Love the Early Paycheck Feature

I came across the early paycheck feature and have been loving it. This has saved me in managing my bills; I receive my pay up to two days prior, offering me flexibility with the way I handle my money. The app is really friendly. I love the cash back on select purchases. Another great feature is overdraft protection, which is fee-free when it actually saves me a few times. The transactions do take some time to post, which is my small gripe, but nothing too serious, however. Customer service has been responsive and helped when I needed them. Great App with a Few Minor Flaws

Current has been absolutely great overall. The early direct deposit, the no-fee policy are absolute standouts, and I also found the app super easy to use. However, a couple of times the app has taken what felt like an eternity to refresh transactions that were pending to have them post to my account-those moments were pretty frustrating. Otherwise, it has been smooth, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a more modern banking option.

Current is an Energetic Banking Option

All in all, I really enjoyed having Current. I am most attached to the instant transaction alerts this app provides and to savings tools, which really helped me build my emergency fund. Their no-fee policy is a huge selling point for me, and cash-back rewards are a nice touch. The only negative aspect sometimes is the slow response of customer service but has rarely been experienced by me. Customer Support Can Improve

The positive aspects of Current are that its customer service has been abnormally slow. Whenever there is a problem, they usually take a couple of days to get back at me. A couple of days is too long for matters of money. It needs an efficient system to be able to support customers with their accounts.

Great for Budgeting

Extremely disappointed with Customer Service

Not as Advertised

I had high hopes for Current. My experience hasn't been nearly as positive as I'd expected, at all. The app is user-friendly, but huge issues with delays in transactions do seem prevalent. I've lost count of how many times I wake up with a balance remaining in my account hours after making some sort of purchase, which literally makes keeping track of my money impossible. Another thing that is not too great in this service is pretty slow customer response?I've experienced a case when I was charged twice for one transaction, and it took more than a week to resolve. And the absence of fee-free ATM services is frustrating too, especially because the app advertised itself as fee-free. I believe it can be a good option with some improvements, but in its present form, not that reliable, considering it's a banking app.

Not As Reliable as I Hoped

The first app I tried was Current, because I was impressed by the idea of fully modern fee-free banking. My experience, however, did not quite hit my expectations. For example, the app would at times update very slowly, and I have had instances where transactions took days to reflect, hence difficult to track my spending. Also had issues with the customer support experience - when there was a problem with the deposit that I made they would not even reply to me within almost a week, which is unacceptable for a banking app. Another drawback is the weak ATM network. I have already paid a few more withdrawal fees than I like to do so that kind of defeats the argument of being free to withdraw from any device. Overall, I'm really disappointed with the reliability and responsiveness of Current, and unless they make some good changes, I might have to go back to a more traditional bank.

No Fees, No Hassle

Current is something I have used for over a year now. Nothing bad with it because my main problem was, whenever they charged fees, they put them in your account. It is basically typical banking, and I enjoy the fact that I can do everything on my phone. It's also really easy to use, transfers pretty fast.

Glitches and Slow Support

Current started out alright for me, but as I continued to use this app, I started to face many problems and hassle associated with it. The app freezes frequently, and the period taken for getting posted transactions is ages; on multiple occasions, the balance isn't updated correctly. I have raised this issue twice to their customer support and both times, it took them almost a week to get back. That is much too lengthy when handling something as significant as banking. I also dislike that the ATM has so limited resources; numerous times, I've paid fees to withdraw, which totally wipes out the whole image of a no-fee service. Overall, I am disappointed with the reliability and customer service. More was expected from a banking app advertised to be at the top of the high-tech scale.

Good for Mobile Banking

Best banking app used

Fees at ATMs Are Frustrating

Love Current, but sorely wish the ACH fees never brought the cash withdrawal actions to any ATM. The app itself is pretty good for basic banking, but the constricted ATM network is a huge problem, and I hope they address it quickly. Not as fee-free as I would have thought.

A Good Option

It's a good alternative to traditional banking. I think they handle savings pretty well with higher interest rates. It also helps that I get overdraft-free, which is a lifesaver sometimes. Not enough ATM

The interface of this app is lovely, but one thing deeply frustrating about it has been its limited ATM network. Sometimes, I had to incur fees because I couldn't find a near-by in-network ATM. That is a major hassle. This needs improvement.

Could Be Better

The Current account has some wonderful features, though several downsides have annoyed me over time. The app sometimes delays its update on my balance, which makes tracking expenditures difficult. The Best Banking App I've Used

Current has been a game-changer for me. I have used online banking apps before, but none of them are near the ease and convenience that Current provides. Not Happy with the Service

Chopped over to Current mainly because I got tired of playing priced games at the bigger banks, but so far, my experience has sucked. The app is really slow, transactions take about hours to appear on my account. I had a purchase not reflected in my account nearly 24 hours after the purchase. For nearly my entire budget, that was just crazy. When I did attempt to get customer support help, it was one of the most frustrating things: nearly a week was the time before hearing from them, and they didn't really have a helpful solution for my issue. It only has limited access ATM, so the problem with this is that sometimes I had to pay for a few occasions, and it's frustrating at all because they have an advertisement that says fee-free banking. So, till now, Current doesn't seem to be such a bank for people whose trust in the bank needs to be satisfied on time with the right kind of solutions.

Could Be Much Better

At first I was really looking forward to trying Current, but it's been a pretty frustrating experience all around. The app is slow and unresponsive to point where sometimes my transactions don't even show up in real-time. One problem was an inaccurate account balance for two days, which made budgeting really tough. Customer service didn't help one bit when I needed assistance, taking over a week to respond to me and they didn't offer much in the way of a solution. And then there's the complete lack of ATM options-I've been out of network more times than I care to remember, which always results in some nasty fees. I was actually seeking a much better and safer banking experience since they basically market themselves as modern and fee-free. Unless they work out their customer service or change their transaction processing time, I'll probably have to end up going back to a real bank.

Not the Best Experience

I switched to Current because I was excited by the no-fees and early paycheck. My experience has not been smooth, though; the app lags when I'm trying to check my balance, and there have been so many occasions when my transactions did not post immediately to my account, which is a huge problem if, like most people, I am trying to manage my finances in real-time. Customer support has also been one headache. It takes days for them to get back, and that hasn't been very helpful in resolving the issues I encounter. I also had challenges with ATM access since there were fewer places where I could withdraw my cash and was forced to incur more fees than not. Overall, however, this app is marketed as being something new, cutting-edge, and innovative banking. It has the biggest shortcomings of bugs and limitations before it can be smoothed out. Not sure if I am going to continue with it.

Great for Early Paycheck Access

Current has the best early paycheck access. It was used quite a number of times and really helped in maintaining my bills and other expenses quite well. Very Disappointing Customer Support

I wanted something more updated about the banking experience, so I changed my mind to Current, but I've been pretty disappointed so far. The app is all glitchy, and transactions take too long before they show up. This has given me some issues in terms of my account balance, and I even experienced two overdrafts due to this matter. When I contacted the customer service, it took nearly a week for them to reply, and the solution they provided was not so helpful. Further, the ATM access is also very restricted. Sometimes I had to pay fees for such cases more often than I would like. This is a huge negative for an app that, otherwise, touts itself as free to use. Overall, I'm just not blown away by the service, and I'm thinking about switching over to go back to my old bank.

Easy to Use and Very Convenient

Needs Work

I have been using Current for about six months, and although some of the features in this application are pretty good, there are many things in which this app needs work. First of all, consistent issues with performance on this app; sometimes, transactions take forever to upload, and budget management becomes a hassle to deal with. However, the biggest problem for me has always been customer service. My account had a duplicate charge from an ATM, and it took nearly two weeks to get resolved. For a banking app, that's simply unacceptable. They boast no fees for their banking, but with such a narrow ATM network, I have to pay fees here several times. It's a good app if you're just using it for basic banking, but if you need quick and reliable service, it's not there yet. I hope they make improvements; there's definitely potential, but as of now, I'm just not really impressed.

Great for People Who Hate Traditional Banks

Great for Managing Finances

I have tried a few online banks, and Current is the best so far. The ease of handling one's money and savings is perhaps the most appreciated feature in the app. And, finally, it is nice to know my deposits are insured.

Slow transaction update

The application is average but the biggest problem is that it takes a long time to update transactions. Many times, it takes a couple of hours for the balance to catch up on new purchases, which gets frustrating when trying to monitor spending. If this were handled, I would be much happier.
