I am glad I hopped onto Chime after getting tired of some unreasonably high fees being charged by my previous bank. I was pleased with Chime. Recent customer service experience has made me wish twice about banking with this one. I had a transaction that I did not recognize. That is all I knew, so I called into customer service. It took days for them to get back to me and the answer vague and of no help. This would continually get followed up with slow responses that didn't do anything to solve my problem. I needed it to sort out the issue fast because a lot of money was at play, but the response from Chime was unbelievable, shocking really, inasmuch as it lacked urgency; it is disappointing because before this, I have been satisfied with their services, but now I am brought back to question if this bank can be trusted when there are problems. After this experience, I probably will change my bank because customer service is the most crucial part of the banking relationship for me.

Chime I have a spotty record here, but the last real issue I had was with SpotMe. I thought this could be for me when I had less balance in my account for small purchases. For the second time now, I'd had overdraft fees when I thought I shouldn't have at the first sign of overdraft. I tried contacting customer care, and they really could not explain to me why this was happening and just said I should wait for a resolution, that they are working on it. And while I do love the no-fee structure of Chime, it's frustrating not to know what's going on, especially in a situation like this overdraft one. If this policy inside Chime does not change to make communications clearer, then I'll have no option but to change my banking option since I will never believe in their service again because of this situation.

I joined Chime over six months ago, but my account freezed without warning last week. I filed a complaint with the customer support that took days to respond. Resolving a fraudulent transaction in my Chime account was a nightmare. By the time I received even a response from their fraud team, it had taken more than a week, and my funds were inaccessible. Good app, though - until things happen and then you're off on your own. Definitely time to move on.

Problems with Direct Deposit
There's been times where my direct deposits werent' deposited when I was expecting them to happen. Extremely frustrating as I was looking forward to paying on my bills, and the customer service was also very slow. The App is great, but if it's not going to get it to the bank on time, then I don't know why I'm maintaining Chime.

Decent App, Bad Customer Service
Works well but customer service lacking. Had an issue with one transfer and it took forever to be resolved. I like hearing about no fees, but when you do have an issue, I expect faster resolution and for them to be a bit more helpful with you. I may switch to another online bank.
