Highly Recommend for Busy Families

As a full-time working mom, Care.com has made my life easier. I was able to post a job, screen applicants, and find someone perfect for after-school care. The entire process took less than a week. I really appreciate the features that let me view background checks and read honest reviews. The nanny we hired is fantastic with our kids and dependable. I use the messaging system and calendar tools regularly, which help streamline communication. Care.com offers peace of mind and professional support for busy families like mine. It?s been one of my best parenting decisions.

Nice Experience

The website helped us find someone trustworthy for my mom?s care. The screening options are good. Just wish there were more replies. Still, we?re happy with who we hired.

img 2/5.0 04, Jul 2025

Needs Better Filters

The filters didn?t actually work. Even when I set distance or availability preferences, it showed irrelevant results. Spent more time searching than I wanted to. Not very user-friendly if you're in a hurry.

img 2/5.0 27, Jun 2025

Caregivers Not Available

The top-rated profiles were all ?not accepting jobs.? Then why are they still listed? It feels like they keep outdated profiles just to make the site look full.

img 4/5.0 22, Jun 2025

Good Matches Available

There were more options than I expected, and we found a kind, dependable person for our mom. She?s been a huge help. The messaging feature could be better, but the actual candidates were solid. Worth checking out.

img 4/5.0 11, Jun 2025

Good Options Available

I?ve had a positive experience with Care.com overall. The platform helped me find a responsible caregiver for my special needs child. I appreciated the search filters, which helped me narrow down candidates with specific experience. The messaging system is simple and the site interface is user-friendly. I do wish response rates from some caregivers were faster, but the one we ended up hiring has been wonderful. She?s caring, patient, and very professional. Care.com gave us the resources to find someone who truly fits our family's needs. I would absolutely use it again and recommend it to friends.

App Needs Work

The app constantly logs me out and messages take forever to load. You?d think for a paid service, the tech would be better. The whole thing feels outdated.

img 1/5.0 29, May 2025

Canceled but Still Charged

I canceled my plan before the next cycle, and they still charged me. When I complained, they said it was ?non-refundable.? Really shady business practices.

img 1/5.0 21, May 2025

Glorified Listing Site

Care.com is nothing more than a glorified phone book that charges you to send messages. That?s it. Once you pay, you realize that there?s no guarantee any of the caregivers will even reply. And most didn?t. Out of 12 messages I sent, I got one vague reply saying they were unavailable. The rest? Crickets. I tried contacting support, hoping for suggestions or maybe a refund?got nothing useful in return. They just say they?re not responsible for lack of replies. How can they charge for that? Also, their background check info was inconsistent. Some profiles looked incomplete, others had zero details. It felt risky. I canceled within two weeks but was still charged for a full three months. Total waste of money. They bank on people being desperate and offer nothing in return. I should?ve trusted the negative reviews I read before joining.

img 2/5.0 03, May 2025

Sketchy Billing

I signed up for a monthly plan but was charged for three months. The terms were buried and confusing. Customer service refused to refund. Felt like a scam. I wouldn?t trust them with my money again.

img 2/5.0 26, Apr 2025

Not Worth the Cost

I paid for the premium plan thinking it would make the process easier to find a babysitter. The search tool seemed okay, but when I reached out to a dozen sitters, only two responded?and both were unavailable. Many profiles were incomplete, and most had no recent activity. It feels like Care.com doesn?t check if people are even still using the platform. What?s worse is that you?re forced to pay to even contact anyone. That should be more transparent up front. I felt like I was tricked into subscribing. They also make it difficult to stop the subscription and will continue to charge unless you cancel very carefully. When I reached out to customer support, they sent the same canned messages over and over again. You?re basically on your own. It?s a shame because the platform has potential. But as it stands, it?s not worth the money or hassle.

img 1/5.0 20, Apr 2025

Inactive Listings and No Screening

I was disappointed from the start. I joined Care.com hoping to find a reliable nanny, but most of the profiles I reached out to were inactive or never responded. Out of 20 messages I sent, I only heard back from one?and she was unavailable. What?s worse, the background check options are confusing and not clear if the caregivers even went through them. The lack of screening is concerning, especially when hiring someone to care for children. I reached out to support to ask about the verification process and was given vague, unhelpful answers. Also, they don?t make it easy to cancel the subscription. You have to go through several steps, and even then, they try to auto-renew without notice. It feels like a money grab rather than a service that genuinely wants to help families. I won't be recommending this to any parent looking for trustworthy care.

Found Help for My Dad

Used Care.com to get part-time help for my elderly father. It took a little trial and error, but we found someone kind and experienced. The app isn?t perfect, but it serves its purpose well enough. It?s a good place to start your search.

img 2/5.0 27, Mar 2025

Can?t Contact Without Paying

You can?t message anyone unless you pay, which isn?t clear until after you make an account. I felt a bit tricked. It should be more transparent upfront about what?s free and what?s not.

img 2/5.0 19, Mar 2025

Poor Vetting of Caregivers

The background checks seem optional and vague. One sitter I hired showed up late, barely interacted with my child, and left early. No accountability at all.

img 4/5.0 11, Mar 2025

Easy to Set Up

Setting up a profile was quick. The search features helped us narrow down candidates easily. Some didn?t reply, but the ones that did were professional. We ended up hiring a great sitter who?s still with us.

img 2/5.0 05, Mar 2025

Very Disappointed With the Lack of Verified Caregivers

I signed up for Care.com because I needed a trusted part-time caregiver for my mom who has mobility issues. The idea of having access to a large pool of verified candidates sounded great. But what I found was quite the opposite. Many profiles had outdated information, and very few had proper background checks. The platform advertises safety and reliability, but they don?t enforce or verify most of the information posted. I messaged several caregivers, only to be ghosted or told they were no longer available. Why keep inactive profiles up? It gives a false sense of choice. Their customer service wasn?t helpful either and refused to offer any refund. Even after canceling, they continued billing me through an auto-renewal I didn?t clearly authorize. The entire system felt shady and manipulative. I had better luck finding someone through local listings. I won?t trust Care.com again. Not worth the headache.

img 1/5.0 24, Feb 2025

Useless When You Really Need Help

My wife and I turned to Care.com during a childcare emergency and thought it would be a quick solution. We were wrong. The sign-up and subscription process was easy, but after that, it went downhill. I messaged about 10 sitters who looked like a great match. Only one even acknowledged the message, and they weren?t available. I tried contacting support, but they sent vague, canned replies with no real advice. I ended up feeling like I paid to look at fake profiles. Most people on the platform seem inactive, and it?s hard to tell who?s actually available. The auto-renew billing was the final straw?they charged me again even though I canceled a day before the due date. The cancellation page was confusing on purpose. We had better luck with a neighborhood referral. Care.com added stress during an already stressful time. I do not recommend it.

img 5/5.0 13, Feb 2025

Fast and Safe

We found a wonderful part-time sitter within a few days. I liked that we could screen applicants ourselves. It gave us more control than an agency. The site was easy to use and made me feel secure. Would recommend for sure.

img 5/5.0 06, Feb 2025

Trustworthy and Efficient

I?ve used Care.com several times to find both babysitters and housekeepers. The experience has always been smooth and convenient. I love being able to review caregiver profiles and filter by qualifications and reviews. Every time I?ve hired someone from the platform, they?ve turned out to be reliable and professional. It's a great alternative to asking around or relying on word of mouth. The app is easy to use, and the ability to pay through the platform is a bonus. I feel much more secure hiring through Care.com than through random social media ads.

img 5/5.0 31, Jan 2025

Simple and Effective

Honestly didn?t expect much, but I found a dog sitter the same week I signed up. The process was pretty smooth. The reviews on each profile really helped me feel confident choosing someone. Would use it again without hesitation.

img 5/5.0 22, Jan 2025

Great for Last-Minute Needs

I had a childcare emergency and turned to Care.com out of desperation. To my surprise, I was able to find a qualified sitter who was available the very next day. The caregiver was punctual, friendly, and quickly built a great rapport with my daughter. It?s rare to find someone that fast who also checks all the boxes for safety and experience. The app was very easy to use, and customer support responded quickly when I had questions about the booking process. This service really saved me, and I plan to keep it on hand just in case.

img 2/5.0 14, Jan 2025

Didn?t Deliver

It sounded like a great idea, but the reality was disappointing. No real support, outdated profiles, and a poor interface. I expected more for what I paid.

img 5/5.0 30, Dec 2024

A Lifesaver for Working Parents

As a working parent, I was struggling to balance work and child care. Care.com made the search simple and fast. I liked that I could find someone with a background check and references, which helped me feel secure. Within three days of signing up, I found a fantastic sitter. She?s been consistent, respectful, and my kids love her. The app is easy to use and has great scheduling tools. I?ve even recommended it to coworkers who also found great help. Care.com is truly a lifesaver if you?re a busy parent needing flexible care options.

img 1/5.0 16, Dec 2024

Waste of Time

Contacted 12 caregivers. Only one replied?and wasn?t available anymore. Most profiles looked outdated. If you?re in a rush to find someone, this site won?t help. Wish I had read the reviews before signing up.

img 1/5.0 08, Dec 2024

Support Was a Joke

I tried getting help after a caregiver didn?t show. The support agent just copied their refund policy and did nothing to help. What?s the point?

img 1/5.0 25, Nov 2024

Disappointing Support

My account was locked randomly and support didn?t help for days. They kept saying they were ?escalating it,? but nothing happened. I gave up and went elsewhere.

img 1/5.0 17, Nov 2024

False Promises, Poor Execution

Care.com promised a pool of qualified and vetted caregivers. That?s not what I experienced. I signed up and paid for a full subscription, expecting to have access to reliable options. But when I started browsing, I noticed many caregivers hadn?t updated their profiles in years. Several had no background checks or incomplete bios. I messaged a total of 15 caregivers and received one response. It was discouraging. Their customer support wasn?t helpful, and it took days to get a generic reply. The auto-renewal hit my account before I realized I hadn?t canceled in time, and they refused a refund. They market themselves as a safe, trusted service but fall flat in every area. I ended up finding a sitter through a Facebook mom group instead. The amount of money and time I lost on this platform left me frustrated. Families deserve better than this.

img 4/5.0 01, Nov 2024

Caregiver Search Made Easier

Care.com saved us so much time. Instead of endless Googling or asking around, we found a caregiver who really fit our needs. Just wish more people would respond to messages. But overall, the experience was better than expected.

img 5/5.0 27, Oct 2024

Reliable Babysitter Found

I used the site for about two weeks and finally found a reliable sitter for my two boys. Messaging was easy, and setting up interviews was simple. Love the reviews and background check options too. It really helped narrow things down fast.

img 1/5.0 20, Oct 2024

A Ghost Town of Profiles

Care.com looks great on the surface?lots of filters, clean layout, and tons of caregiver profiles. But once you pay and start contacting people, you realize most of them don?t reply. I sent about 18 messages over two weeks. I got 2 responses, both saying they weren?t taking new jobs. Why are inactive people still being shown in the search results? It?s misleading. On top of that, their pricing is deceptive. You sign up thinking it?s monthly, but they charge for three months up front. I only realized this after checking my statement. When I contacted support, I got a canned response about policy. No one actually helped. I understand they can?t guarantee caregiver availability, but they could at least maintain an active database. Care.com wasted my time and money during a stressful period. I?m extremely disappointed and will not use or recommend this service to anyone.

img 4/5.0 09, Oct 2024

Found a Solid Match

Found a dependable caregiver for my grandmother. It took a few tries, but we?re happy now. The platform could be faster, but the right person made it worth the wait.

img 5/5.0 29, Sep 2024

Found Long-Term Help

After several short-term caregivers, we finally found a long-term helper who has stayed with our family for over a year?all thanks to Care.com. She helps with school pickup, light meal prep, and homework. The kids absolutely love her. The background check gave us peace of mind before the first meeting. This site made the search process simple and transparent. The communication tools are helpful, and the platform makes it easy to coordinate schedules. I?m very satisfied with the results and grateful for the stability this has brought our home. Highly recommend giving it a try.

img 4/5.0 20, Sep 2024

Overall Good Experience

The first few people didn?t respond, but once we found someone serious, it worked out really well. I like the filters and the transparency on profiles. Could use a better app layout though.

img 1/5.0 11, Sep 2024

They Keep Charging

I canceled, or at least I thought I did. But they kept charging me. The process to cancel is really confusing, and customer support was no help. Felt like I got tricked into a recurring subscription.

img 2/5.0 03, Sep 2024

Too Many Fake Profiles

Some profiles looked suspiciously fake. I don?t know how often they review accounts, but it didn?t give me confidence in the platform.

img 1/5.0 23, Aug 2024

Disorganized and Unreliable Platform

I don?t usually write reviews, but Care.com left me genuinely upset. I signed up, paid the subscription, and spent the next week messaging about 15 local sitters. Only two even looked at the messages. One said she?d moved out of state. The other never replied again. Why show profiles that are clearly inactive or outdated? It felt like I was searching in a dead zone. When I contacted support to ask about active users, they just told me to keep trying. I canceled my account and still got charged for the following month. Apparently, you have to cancel a certain number of days in advance or they keep charging. They make that info nearly impossible to find. Care.com doesn?t feel like a professional service?it feels like an old classified section that charges you to access junk. Very disappointing. Don?t waste your money like I did.

img 5/5.0 17, Aug 2024

Great for Senior Care

We used Care.com to find help for my elderly mom, and it worked out better than expected. Found a compassionate caregiver who?s been a blessing. The background checks really helped us feel secure. I?d recommend it for families needing senior care.

img 2/5.0 12, Aug 2024

Unreliable Sitters

Out of five interviews, only one person actually showed up. The rest canceled last-minute or ghosted me. This shouldn?t happen on a paid service.

img 2/5.0 04, Aug 2024

Frustrating Experience

The site design is clunky, filters are unreliable, and very few active users. I had high hopes but ended up frustrated. It?s not the fast, easy solution it claims to be.

img 2/5.0 24, Jul 2024

Just Didn?t Work for Me

I gave Care.com an honest shot. I needed backup child care after my usual sitter moved away. The site looked promising, but things went south quickly. Most profiles I messaged were inactive, or the people weren?t even in my city anymore. The one person who did reply said they were unavailable for the next two months. What?s the point of listing them then? I also found the messaging system outdated?it?s slow and awkward to use. Worse, after I canceled, they still charged me because it didn?t go through on time. There?s no grace period or courtesy from support. It?s disappointing when a company that deals in care doesn?t actually seem to care about users. You end up doing all the work, but you?re paying them. It makes no sense. Would I try it again? No. I?d rather spend the time asking for personal recommendations.

img 5/5.0 11, Jul 2024

Easy to Navigate

I was able to find a local babysitter in just a few days. The site made it really simple to message and schedule interviews. Honestly, I didn?t expect it to be this easy. It helped reduce a lot of stress for our family. Definitely worth trying if you need childcare options.

img 5/5.0 03, Jul 2024

Worked Well for Us

My daughter needed a weekend sitter and Care.com gave us options right away. We found someone close by and she?s been amazing. I?d definitely use the site again. Very convenient and user-friendly.

img 2/5.0 25, Jun 2024

Too Many Inactive Profiles

I messaged several sitters and got zero replies. Either they?re not active or they don?t check messages. Why even show those profiles? It felt like I was talking to a wall. Not a helpful platform if no one is actually available.

img 1/5.0 18, Jun 2024

Feels Outdated

The platform just doesn?t feel modern or trustworthy. Very few sitters responded and the entire layout was difficult to use. I won?t be renewing.

img 1/5.0 12, Jun 2024

Sketchy Billing Practices

Their subscription auto-renews silently, and canceling isn?t easy. I didn?t realize I was charged again until I saw my credit card bill. Disappointing.

img 1/5.0 06, Jun 2024

Paid, Got Nothing

Signed up, paid, and literally didn?t get one reply from any sitter. The profiles all looked good, but none were actually active. They should do more to verify if people are using the platform.

img 2/5.0 30, May 2024

Limited Active Users

Most of the sitters seemed inactive or hadn?t updated their profiles in years. The site looks busy, but once you dive in, there?s not much there.

img 2/5.0 13, May 2024

Disappointed by Inactivity

Signed up, paid the fee, and barely got any responses from caregivers. Most profiles seemed inactive or never replied. Felt like a waste of time and money. The idea is great, but the execution just isn?t there. Wouldn?t recommend unless they improve user engagement.

img 4/5.0 07, May 2024

Solid Resource for Parents

I used Care.com when we relocated to a new city and had no local support system. It was a huge help. I found multiple caregivers who were friendly and responsive. The one we hired ended up being very reliable and got along well with both our kids. The site has some minor navigation quirks, but nothing deal-breaking. I really appreciated the background check options and the ability to read verified reviews. We feel safer hiring through here than posting on neighborhood groups. Would definitely use again and already recommended it to other parents at school.

img 1/5.0 30, Apr 2024

Hidden Charges and No Refunds

They charged my card again without warning, even after I canceled. I contacted them right away and was told they don?t offer refunds. Not cool. I feel scammed.

img 5/5.0 23, Apr 2024

Great Help Finding Pet Sitter

We used Care.com to find someone to watch our dog while we traveled. Found a sweet college student nearby who was perfect. It?s so much better than guessing with random ads. Very happy with the service.

img 1/5.0 04, Apr 2024

Waste of Money and Time

I signed up for Care.com hoping to find a reliable babysitter for my two young kids. After paying the subscription fee, I messaged over 10 caregivers. Not one responded. I double-checked my messages and profile settings?everything seemed fine. I contacted customer service, but they just sent copy-paste replies that didn?t help at all. What?s the point of paying for access if no one is active on the site? It?s incredibly frustrating when you?re in urgent need of help. The platform feels outdated, and most of the caregiver profiles haven?t been updated in years. I also found the auto-renewal setup extremely sneaky. They make it hard to cancel, and there?s no easy refund process. I ended up finding a sitter through a local Facebook group. I wish I had never spent money on this site. It felt like throwing cash into a void. Definitely not recommending this to other parents.

img 1/5.0 25, Mar 2024

Not Worth the Price

The subscription cost is way too high for what you actually get. Most caregivers don?t respond, and the platform doesn?t seem moderated well. I canceled within a week.

img 4/5.0 18, Mar 2024

Good But Pricey

The subscription isn?t cheap, but it did help us find a solid nanny. There are a lot of profiles, and it took some time, but the messaging tools and filters helped. Customer service was okay too when I had a question.

img 1/5.0 08, Mar 2024

Not Safe, Not Monitored

I tried using Care.com to find a caregiver for my elderly mom. What I didn?t expect was the complete lack of safety monitoring on the site. One of the women I hired based on her glowing reviews ended up stealing from us. When I reported it, Care.com told me they were ?not liable? and refused to investigate. I asked how someone like that could stay on their platform and they just said they?d ?look into it.? Two months later, I still see her profile active. That?s unacceptable. There's no real vetting of caregivers, no ongoing monitoring, and no customer service that actually helps. I trusted this site to find someone reliable, but they offered no support or accountability when things went wrong. Don?t be fooled by the polished look of the site. Behind the scenes, there?s no safety net for families. I deeply regret using Care.com.

img 1/5.0 25, Feb 2024

No Real Support or Help

I needed an urgent caregiver for my dad after surgery and thought Care.com would be the solution. I subscribed, filled out every detail, and started messaging caregivers. After sending nearly 15 messages, I got zero responses. Some profiles hadn't been updated in years. I reached out to customer service asking if they could verify whether these people were still active, but I got generic replies that weren?t helpful at all. I also noticed they made it difficult to cancel the subscription. I had to go through multiple pages just to find the cancel option, and they still billed me again the next month. I contacted them for a refund and was told ?all sales are final.? It feels like they don?t care about the users at all. Very frustrating when you?re already stressed about finding care. I had a better experience with a local agency.

img 5/5.0 19, Feb 2024

Good Resource for Families

Care.com was super helpful when we moved to a new city. Found a part-time sitter within a week. The background check option gave me some peace of mind too. Not all profiles are active though, so you have to reach out to a few. But overall it worked well.

img 4/5.0 09, Feb 2024

Good Results, Worth the Price

I was initially hesitant about paying for a subscription, but Care.com proved to be worth it. Within a few days, I found a qualified sitter who met all our criteria. The profiles are detailed and include important info like experience and availability. I also liked being able to see reviews from other families. The sitter has worked out great and is now part of our regular routine. The cost was reasonable considering the peace of mind it provides. Overall, I?m very pleased with the service. I?ll be using Care.com again the next time we need child care.

img 5/5.0 06, Feb 2024

Super Helpful

I was nervous at first, but Care.com made it so easy to find a caregiver for my daughter. The reviews were really helpful. I?d use them again without hesitation.

img 2/5.0 31, Jan 2024

Lacks Basic Transparency

Care.com could be a great platform if they were upfront about everything. Unfortunately, they?re not. I joined thinking I?d pay monthly, only to discover they charged for a full quarter up front. No warning until it hit my bank account. When I reached out, they told me it was in the ?terms??but it wasn?t clear at checkout. I tried using the platform anyway but didn?t get a single reply from any sitter. The few who did respond said they no longer babysit and just hadn?t taken down their profiles. That?s ridiculous for a paid site. The filters also don?t work well, often showing me people outside my location range. Support was no help, and there?s no refund even if you don?t get results. It all feels like a trap. I?m very disappointed and wouldn?t recommend it unless they seriously improve their service and transparency.

img 1/5.0 21, Jan 2024

Not Enough Candidates

I live in a populated area but still had very few results. Most people I contacted didn?t reply or were unavailable. Care.com needs to clean up its listings. It?s misleading and not worth the subscription cost.

img 2/5.0 12, Jan 2024

Unclear Pricing

The pricing structure is confusing and not clearly explained. I didn?t know I was signing up for auto-renewal. They should make that much more obvious during checkout.

img 5/5.0 08, Jan 2024

Found Our Perfect Nanny

Care.com really worked for us. After just a few days of searching, we connected with a wonderful nanny who fit our schedule and parenting style. The ability to filter candidates based on experience, availability, and background checks made the process easy and safe. Messaging through the platform kept things organized, and we appreciated being able to review caregiver profiles before reaching out. Our nanny has been reliable, kind, and absolutely adored by our two toddlers. We?re so grateful this platform exists?it took a lot of stress out of the process. Definitely recommend to other busy families.

img 5/5.0 04, Jan 2024

Happy with the Experience

I joined to find a nanny while I went back to work, and Care.com delivered. The candidate we hired was professional and caring. Definitely made my transition smoother. Would recommend to other parents who need trustworthy care.

img 5/5.0 20, Dec 2023

Love the Flexibility

I?ve used Care.com for occasional babysitting, tutoring, and even housekeeping. The flexibility is what I love most. I can post a job or search through candidates depending on my needs. Most of the people I?ve hired through the platform have been friendly, professional, and respectful. The site also keeps all my past bookings and payments in one place, which is super helpful for taxes. I trust the site and love how easy it is to customize my search. It?s been a real asset for managing our busy family life. I wouldn?t use anything else now.

img 5/5.0 08, Dec 2023

Good for Families

My sister told me about Care.com and I?m glad I tried it. Found a kind, responsible nanny who clicked with my kids right away. The process felt safe and transparent. Would use it again.

img 1/5.0 01, Dec 2023

Slow and Clunky

The website is slow, and messages often fail to send. Found the entire interface outdated. I was hoping for a smooth experience, but it just created more problems.

img 1/5.0 28, Nov 2023

No Refunds Given

I accidentally renewed my membership and immediately contacted support?no refund. Even though I hadn?t used the service at all. Customer service was cold and unhelpful. Watch out for automatic renewals; they don?t make it easy to cancel.

img 4/5.0 17, Nov 2023

Found a Great Nanny

I had some doubts at first, but Care.com actually worked. Found a great nanny who?s been with us for six months now. The platform can be a bit clunky, but overall it helped me find someone dependable and qualified. Definitely made the search less overwhelming.

img 1/5.0 10, Nov 2023

Terrible Experience from Start to Finish

I had a horrible experience with Care.com. I joined hoping to find elder care for my father after his surgery. We live in a populated area, but the search showed me only a handful of profiles?and most of them hadn?t been updated in ages. The few I did message never replied. When I finally reached someone, she canceled last minute and then unmatched me without explanation. Customer support was no help and completely robotic. They have a policy of ?no refunds? even when you can prove that you received zero value from the subscription. Also, their website is clunky and full of bugs. I had to refresh pages constantly, and the filters barely worked. In my opinion, they are making money off people?s desperation, and that?s wrong. I will never use this service again and will definitely warn others about it. Total waste of time and money.

img 5/5.0 02, Nov 2023

Excellent for Dog Sitting

I needed someone to watch my dog while I traveled for work, and Care.com delivered. The sitter I hired had tons of great reviews and experience with large breeds. He sent regular updates and photos, which really eased my anxiety. My dog seemed happy and well taken care of. I liked that I could see background checks and schedule everything in advance. The whole process was smooth and efficient. I?ll definitely be using Care.com again for pet care. It saved me a lot of stress and gave me confidence that my furry friend was in good hands.

img 1/5.0 30, Oct 2023

Found Better Elsewhere

I didn?t have any luck with Care.com. Eventually found a sitter through Facebook. The site just wasn?t helpful at all. Not worth the subscription fee.

img 5/5.0 24, Oct 2023

Really Helped Our Family

We used Care.com twice?once for a sitter and once for elder care. Both times, we found great people. It?s not instant, but it works if you put in the effort. Love the ability to read reviews before reaching out.

img 5/5.0 14, Oct 2023

Great for Senior Care

I used Care.com to find a caregiver for my elderly father. The experience exceeded my expectations. We found someone compassionate, qualified, and reliable within a week. The caregiver not only helped with daily tasks but also provided companionship, which made a huge difference in my dad?s well-being. I liked that we could read reviews, check credentials, and even schedule interviews easily through the app. The caregiver is now part of our extended family. This platform truly helped our family during a tough time. Thank you, Care.com, for giving us peace of mind and consistent care.

Not What I Expected

I thought the site would make it easier, but it just added stress. Too many inactive users, and messages go unanswered. It?s not worth the subscription price. I ended up finding someone through a friend instead.

img 2/5.0 02, Oct 2023

Fake Profiles?

I messaged several sitters and got zero replies. I?m starting to think many profiles aren?t real. If they are, Care.com needs to ensure they?re actually active.

Caregiver Listings Are Misleading

I subscribed to Care.com looking for a caregiver for my toddler and found dozens of listings in my area. But once I messaged them, most didn?t reply. A few told me they weren?t even working as sitters anymore. That was the most frustrating part?profiles looked active but clearly weren?t being monitored. Why show someone who hasn?t logged in for months? It?s misleading. I spent hours filtering, messaging, and following up only to end up with no results. Their customer service was robotic and not helpful at all when I tried to explain my issue. On top of that, I was charged for another month because of their hard-to-find cancellation process. I wouldn?t recommend Care.com unless you?re desperate. You?re better off using referrals from friends or Facebook parenting groups. The platform isn?t worth the money they charge and the stress it creates.

img 2/5.0 18, Sep 2023

Poor Customer Support

I had an issue with my background check not showing up correctly. Tried contacting support multiple times?got copy-paste replies and no actual help. Very disappointing service for the price they charge.

img 4/5.0 06, Sep 2023

Decent Experience Overall

There?s a wide range of candidates, which is good. I had to sort through a few unresponsive ones, but eventually got a great match. The app could be better, but I was satisfied with the results. Would use again if I needed someone in the future.

img 1/5.0 01, Sep 2023

Not Family Friendly

I expected professionalism, but what I got was a clunky app, unresponsive users, and support that didn?t care. Would not recommend to any busy parent.

img 2/5.0 28, Aug 2023

No Responses from Caregivers

I paid for a premium plan expecting better access, but most caregivers never replied. It felt like shouting into a void. Customer service didn?t help and just sent template replies. Waste of time and money.

img 4/5.0 26, Aug 2023

Useful but Takes Patience

It works, but you need patience. We sent messages to quite a few people before getting solid responses. Eventually found a reliable caregiver. The search filters helped a lot. I?d use the site again if needed, though the interface could use some work.

img 2/5.0 20, Aug 2023

Profiles Not Verified

Some of the caregivers I contacted had fake photos or missing information. Felt really uneasy. There should be better verification and quality control before listing someone.

img 4/5.0 12, Aug 2023

Pretty Smooth Process

We needed a last-minute sitter and found someone through Care.com within 48 hours. She was great with our kids. The site?s filters helped narrow it down fast. Wish I didn?t have to pay for messaging, but otherwise, no complaints.

img 1/5.0 03, Aug 2023

Not Functional and Overpriced

I joined Care.com because I liked the idea of background-checked caregivers and easy filtering. What I didn?t expect was how broken the actual experience would be. The website is clunky, with slow load times and glitchy features. I contacted several sitters and received no replies. Some accounts even looked fake. After paying for a premium membership, I expected actual results?not silence. Customer support was basically useless and just pointed me to the FAQs. I asked for a refund after realizing I?d been charged for three months at once instead of one?no luck. The cancellation policy is designed to confuse people. It took me nearly 30 minutes just to cancel my subscription properly. I ended up using a different platform entirely. I wish I had done better research before trusting Care.com. It?s an expensive lesson, but I won?t be making the same mistake twice. Not recommended at all.

img 2/5.0 28, Jul 2023

Felt Like a Waste of Time

The whole platform felt like a facade. So many caregivers, yet hardly anyone responds. You pay to communicate with potential babysitters or nannies, but most profiles seem inactive or fake. I contacted over a dozen people with detailed, respectful messages and got two replies?both unavailable. Customer service wasn?t helpful, just kept copying the same policy statements about how they ?can?t guarantee responses.? Then why charge for messaging? It?s frustrating. The subscription renews automatically and they don?t notify you in advance. I only noticed the charge when I checked my bank statement. When I tried to get a refund, I was told it wasn?t possible. For a company that deals with families and caregivers, there?s a lack of care in how they handle their users. If the platform doesn?t ensure an active, responsive user base, what are we even paying for? It?s just not worth it.

Not Enough Local Options

Even though I live in a big city, there were barely any sitters listed near me. And the few that were listed never replied. Felt like I paid for access to nothing.

img 5/5.0 18, Jul 2023

Best Site for Sitters

I was able to find a weekend babysitter through Care.com quickly. The site felt safe and the profiles were detailed. Loved that I could read real reviews and do background checks. It?s become my go-to anytime I need sitter help.

img 1/5.0 06, Jul 2023

Not a Single Reply After Paying

I was really hopeful when I joined Care.com to find a sitter for my 5-year-old. Everything looked professional at first. I paid the subscription fee and sent out messages to multiple profiles that matched what we were looking for. I waited days, then weeks?not one person replied. It felt like all the caregivers were either inactive or completely unmonitored. I started wondering if the profiles were even real. Customer support just kept telling me to "try messaging more people," which I already had. And the auto-renewal feature caught me off guard?had to dispute it with my bank. Honestly, I got nothing for what I paid. It felt like throwing money away. I would never recommend this platform to anyone. It's unreliable, and they clearly don't put effort into maintaining quality or helping customers. Save yourself the frustration and look for care elsewhere. Care.com is not worth it.

img 1/5.0 03, Jul 2023

Terrible Mobile App

The app kept crashing every time I tried to filter or message someone. Eventually gave up and used the website instead, which wasn?t much better. Super frustrating when you're trying to find care fast.

img 1/5.0 28, Jun 2023

Caregivers Never Respond

I sent out more than ten messages?zero replies. What?s the point of the site if no one responds? It feels like a ghost town behind a paywall.

img 5/5.0 22, Jun 2023

Perfect Nanny Match

We found our perfect nanny on Care.com. She?s everything we hoped for?loving, reliable, and experienced with infants. The background checks and reviews gave us peace of mind. The interface made it easy to schedule interviews and manage communication. Payment was secure and hassle-free. We?re now four months in and couldn?t be happier. Care.com truly changed our family dynamic by helping us find someone who feels like a part of the family. I only wish we had joined the platform sooner. It?s a fantastic tool for anyone needing dependable child care support.

img 4/5.0 12, Jun 2023

Got the Help We Needed

After weeks of looking for elder care, Care.com helped us connect with a great caregiver. She?s been kind and very reliable. The site isn?t perfect?some profiles don?t respond?but we got what we needed. The premium fee was worth it in our case.

img 2/5.0 04, Jun 2023

Not Enough Active Users

Signed up during a stressful time hoping to find part-time elder care for my mother. The platform made it look like dozens of options were nearby, but most turned out to be inactive. I messaged at least ten people and only one responded?and she wasn?t available. It?s frustrating that there?s no way to see when someone last logged in. I ended up using another service that actually verifies and updates caregiver profiles regularly. Also, Care.com?s interface isn?t user-friendly. The mobile version crashed several times, and filtering didn?t work well. On top of that, the recurring billing is sneaky. It?s difficult to cancel and easy to forget about?exactly what they?re hoping for. Customer service just hides behind policies instead of helping you fix anything. It was a letdown from start to finish. I wouldn?t suggest Care.com to anyone looking for timely and reliable care. It just doesn?t deliver.

img 5/5.0 01, Jun 2023

Easy and Reliable

I?ve used Care.com for both babysitting and house cleaning help. Both times, the platform was easy to use and the people were great. Very satisfied with the experience. Would definitely recommend to busy parents.

img 1/5.0 28, May 2023

Auto-Renew Trap and Poor Interface

I used Care.com for a few weeks and never got a response from any caregiver. Most seemed inactive, and I wasted so much time messaging people who never replied. The app is buggy and keeps freezing, making the process even more frustrating. Worst of all, I thought I canceled the subscription, but it auto-renewed for another three months. They wouldn?t give me a refund even though I didn?t use the service. Their policy is inflexible and lacks any empathy. I felt completely ripped off. If they made it clearer how auto-renewal works or had better account management tools, I might be more understanding. But the fact that the site feels outdated, is hard to navigate, and has poor customer service makes it a definite no from me. I don?t recommend Care.com. You?re better off using local community boards or referrals. This platform just doesn?t deliver what it promises.

img 1/5.0 23, May 2023

Misleading Search Results

When you search in your area, you get profiles from other cities too. It?s misleading and wastes time. Half the profiles don?t even respond anyway.

img 4/5.0 15, May 2023

Helpful for Vetting Sitters

I like that Care.com shows background checks and reviews. It helped us feel more confident choosing someone to care for our toddler. It?s a good tool, though the interface could be more user-friendly. Overall, a solid experience.

img 4/5.0 10, May 2023

Smooth and Helpful

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use Care.com. I was able to set up my account, browse potential caregivers, and message a few within the same day. I ended up hiring someone within a week. She has been punctual, caring, and great with my two kids. The payment process was also smooth, and the reminders help me stay on top of everything. I do wish there were more real-time responses, but overall, it?s been a great experience. I?ll definitely continue using it when I need backup care or sitters in the future.

img 4/5.0 05, May 2023

Decent Platform

It does what it says. Found a qualified sitter in less than a week. A few quirks in the app, but it?s manageable. Worth trying out if you?re in need.

img 1/5.0 25, Apr 2023

Feels Like a Scam

The service looks legit, but after paying, nothing worked right. No replies, tech issues, and no refund. I honestly regret signing up.

img 5/5.0 20, Apr 2023

A Big Help

I?ve used Care.com twice now and both times it helped me find someone reliable. I appreciate the reviews and background check options. There are a lot of choices, so you do need to sift through. But it works.

img 5/5.0 14, Apr 2023

Easy Process, Quality Caregivers

My wife and I were skeptical at first, but Care.com turned out to be a fantastic tool. We found multiple qualified caregivers in our area and scheduled interviews right through the site. The sitter we chose has been dependable and great with our son. The communication tools make it easy to stay in touch and manage scheduling. We?ve used the site several times now for date nights and emergency backup care, and it hasn?t disappointed us once. It gives us flexibility and peace of mind. I highly recommend Care.com for families looking for quality help.

img 1/5.0 06, Apr 2023

Misleading Charges

Thought I was getting a monthly plan but was billed for the entire quarter. Fine print is misleading and tricky. I wouldn't recommend unless you?re absolutely sure you want to commit long-term.
