No More Drafts or Mice
I used Xcluder on my exterior doors, and not only did it exclude mice, but it eliminated cold air drafts as well. It's a great two-for-one product. The only downside is that you need to use gloves when working with the material, but that is a minor issue compared to its performance.

Simple Yet Effective

Durable and Long-Lasting
The quality of the material of Xcluder is superb. I used the fill fabric made of stainless steel to caulk holes in and around my home, and it's endured different weather conditions pretty well. It's heavy-duty and rust-proof and doesn't degrade easily. I gave it only four stars because it's a little difficult to fit, but once in place, it does the work perfectly fine.

I bought this after reading all the great reviews, but honestly, it's only average. It helps in some situations but is not as infallible as I expected. I think it's an average product that works when used under the right conditions but is not the fairy godmother some people make it out to be. I'd recommend you to set your expectations low.

Rodents Chewed Through It
I expected this to be the ideal rodent-proof material, but after some months, I saw chew marks and shredded bits where I used it. I was actually shocked because I figured steel wool would be sufficient to deter them. It did its job at first, but somehow, some rodents managed to go through.

Didn't Work for Larger Gaps
I bought Xcluder to seal most of the gaps in my garage, but it did not work as well on the bigger holes. The material is good enough for small cracks, but on larger ones, it won't do. I needed to blend it with other materials so that I could seal the area completely. It might be useful for small gaps, but I would not use it alone on the bigger pest entry points.

Overpriced for What You Get
I think Xcluder is too pricey for what you get. While the product was quality, I did not think it was worth the cost. I had to buy multiple packs in order to cover all of the gaps, and that quickly became costly. It's not a bad product, but I think you could get the same effect with a cheaper product. If you have a budget limit, I would recommend exploring other items before this one.

Not a Long-Term Solution
The product worked great at the beginning, but after a few months, I noticed that it wasn't lasting as long. The substance seemed to degrade in some places, and I would need to apply it again. I needed a more lasting answer than something I'd constantly be monitoring and reapplying. If you just need something temporarily, it might be alright, but I wouldn't recommend using it for a long-term pest control.

Hard to Work With and Messy
The stuff is tough, but it was miserable to work with. The steel wool sheds a few strands in all directions, so cleaning is heavenly. I had to wear gloves so I wouldn't get tiny cuts, and it was a nuisance to put in wherever it had to be put. If you're using this, expect some discomfort and mess. It does fill gaps, but the installation wasn't as smooth as I would have preferred.

Rodents Still Got Through
I truly was hoping this would solve my mouse problem, but to my disappointment, I still sensed rodent infestation in my home even after gaps were sealed with Xcluder. It held up in some areas, but rodents were able to find a gap in others. Maybe I didn't apply as much, but I was hoping for something more solid in the way of barrier. It doesn't seem like a negative product, but it did not solve the whole problem.

Not a Perfect Fit
Although the material is strong, I struggled to get it seal well on my door. Regardless of accurate measurement and adjustments, it had a small gap where rodents could still navigate through. I expected a tight seal, but the design was not as adaptable as indicated. It could be effective for some doors, but with mine, it failed to seal the gap entirely. I had to use other materials to finish it.

Hard to Install
I purchased the Xcluder door sweep having heard wonderful things, but I found it hard to install. The instructions weren't as easy to follow as I'd have liked, and it took me longer than I anticipated to get it in properly. Even after it was installed, I could see a small gap, which rather defeats the object. It might be better for other people, but I found it frustrating and not as good as it could have been. I wish they provided more instructions or an easier install method.

Didn't Last as Expected
I had high hopes for the reviews but unfortunately, the material did not last as long as I hoped. Within a few months, there was some of the fill fabric breaking away, and I could see tiny gaps forming. It held up for a while, but I don't think it will last me as long as I had hoped. For the price, I would have hoped it would be more than temporary. It is a good temporary solution but not one that lasted in my case.
