Fast and Convenient

Amscot was super helpful to me when I needed a little emergency cash. The whole process took less than an hour, and the people there explained things pretty clearly. I think the fees seem a little on the high side, but what can you expect with payday loans? I'd use them again if I had to.

Hidden Fees and Confusing Process

A few months ago, I used Amscot. The whole process was pretty clear till after the fact. Surprise. New fees. There was no front-end charge that I ever saw, and I paid more than I thought I should pay. And their repayment process is pretty confusing; I had to call into the customer service department a few times in order to get certain pieces of information clarified. So although the loan helped me in the short term, it was a tad too expensive for my taste, and their lack of transparency really didn't make the experience nice. Of course, I would recommend others to be very cautious and understand all costs before submitting the application.

Okay for Short Loan

This is my second time using Amscot. Both of times, they have given me extremely fast service. The application process was easy, and the staff has been very helpful. I did find fees to be very high, but you expect that with payday loans, so it was no surprise to me. Overall, how quickly they process everything is really a plus. I will definitely use them again when needed for a short-term loan.

Always Dependable

I have been to Amscot numerous times, and every time, they pleasantly surprise you with how fast they process everything. The application is very simple and direct. For their fees and repayment terms, I really appreciate the honesty with them. I do know that payday loans pay pretty high interest rates, but as long as you understand it upfront, it's a really good option for short-term needs. Unclear Terms and Conditions

My time with Amscot was quite disappointing, though I must say very quick in processing the loan. They never explained much about the terms of such a loan to be repaid. I then realized that the interest rate was very astronomical, and for paying that loan, I spent much more than I borrowed from them. Their terms and conditions should be more transparent. Not something I would recommend to someone seeking an affordable short-term loan.

Good for Emergencies

Have used Amscot a few times when I'm in a bind with my finances. Every time I had no other alternative, they always came through quick and clear on terms. Overpriced for What You Get

High Fees and Poor Communication

I recently borrowed a payday loan from Amscot. To my shock, they charged me far more in fees than I believed was being charged for this service. They do not seem to be very transparent on what you are going to end up paying. It is hard to get a straight answer from the customer service operators. Paid way more than I thought I would. They charge much in interest, but for Amscot fees are too high. Also, terms to repay cash advances were not clear. I tried calling them to get more details, but it took long to hear back from them and could not get a convincing reason for their reply. Their service will not be engaged again.

Interest Rate Shock

I have borrowed payday loans in the past, but this was one of the most with high interest rates I ever had it at any place. Though it only took a minute or so to do, the load I had to pay back was overwhelming as I paid back nearly double times of how much I borrowed for a small amount. Nor were the customer service reps very helpful at explaining the terms up front. Although it did my loan quickly, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless absolutely necessary. Their interest rates are just too high for most people to handle, and they should let people know the full price of the loan.
