Misleading Fee Expectations

Signed up after seeing all the talk about AMP?s ?low fees,? but there are way more hidden costs than they advertise. Data feed costs, exchange fees, platform costs ? it all adds up real quick. And if you don?t know which boxes to uncheck during setup, you?ll get billed for stuff you don?t need. There was zero upfront clarity about what?s optional and what?s mandatory. I ended up paying monthly fees I never agreed to, and when I asked for a refund, they refused. It?s sneaky. AMP isn?t a scam, but they definitely benefit from poor transparency. I wouldn?t mind paying these fees if they just explained them clearly in the beginning. But the fact that I had to learn through trial and error ? and pay for it ? leaves a really bad impression. The onboarding process seriously needs work if they want to retain new clients.

I?d rather pay a little more at a broker that takes service seriously than save money and waste time dealing with untrained reps.

Inconsistent Platform Stability

One day the system works fine, the next day I can?t even log in without reconnecting three times. AMP?s platform doesn?t feel stable enough for serious trading. During major announcements, the lag and freeze are unbearable. Tried different times, different connections?even tried from another computer?and the issues remained. Support says it?s the data feed or the external platform, but that?s not a good enough excuse. AMP?s infrastructure should be strong enough to handle peak volume periods. What?s the point of offering low commissions if I can?t trust my platform to stay connected in real time? These glitches have cost me trades and money, not to mention confidence. I?ve used other brokers and never had these kinds of disruptions. Until AMP can ensure platform uptime and consistency, I can?t consider them reliable. Wouldn?t recommend unless your trades don?t depend on execution speed.

Broken Promises on Support Times

Their website claims fast support responses, but that hasn?t been my experience at all. I opened a ticket about platform errors and didn?t hear back for over 48 hours. Meanwhile, the issue continued and impacted my trading. I reached out through chat and got redirected to the same form I had already filled. Why promote live help if it?s not actually live? On busy days, getting help from AMP feels like trying to reach a ghost team. No escalation process, no ticket tracking, nothing. I?ve used other brokers that at least acknowledge the problem and give updates?even if they can?t fix it right away. AMP just goes silent. Their support is one of the weakest points of the service, which is ironic considering how many users they onboard for their ?cost efficiency.? You can?t scale a platform if the support structure can?t keep up. Disappointed doesn?t even begin to cover it.

Account Freeze Without Warning

My account was suddenly frozen with no prior email or call. I couldn?t log in, couldn?t trade, and had no idea what went wrong. When I finally got through to support, they said it was due to a ?security flag,? but they wouldn?t explain what triggered it. No timeline was given on when it would be unlocked. I understand the need for security measures, but freezing a live account without notification? That?s careless. I had active trades at the time and had no control or ability to manage them. Luckily, I wasn?t too exposed, but it could?ve ended badly. A simple heads-up could have prevented a lot of stress. If AMP wants to enforce internal compliance, that?s fine?but they must communicate better. Ignoring the client and holding funds with no clear updates isn?t how a professional broker should operate. Really soured the experience for me.

Confusing User Portal

The back-end portal feels outdated and overly complicated. Tabs are not clearly labeled, and it?s hard to track important things like balances, fee deductions, or trade history. I had to keep switching between multiple sections just to find basic account data. To make it worse, some pages would randomly log me out or fail to load entirely. It?s not intuitive, and definitely not designed with the user in mind. I contacted support for help navigating the portal, and they simply linked me to another long-winded PDF guide. Why not just make the UI better? You?d expect more from a broker that?s been around this long. For traders managing several accounts or data subscriptions, this level of disorganization becomes frustrating fast. Clean interface design and functionality matter?especially when real money is on the line. AMP needs to put more focus on improving the user experience across their system.

Account Closure Drama

Thought AMP would be a good alternative broker. Signed up, got verified, funded my account, and even placed a few test trades. Then out of nowhere, I got an email saying my account was being closed due to a "compliance issue" with no further details. I was stunned. I called, emailed?no clear answer. They refunded my deposit, but to this day, I still don?t know what went wrong. No prior warning, no specific explanation. Felt completely blindsided. AMP really needs to improve communication if something triggers an internal flag. Traders deserve transparency when their accounts are being shut down. There?s nothing worse than being locked out of a funded account without understanding why. I had done nothing shady, and my KYC was approved. If they?re going to close accounts, they should at least provide real reasons and fair warnings.

Trading during market hours and facing issues is stressful enough. But when your support tickets go unanswered for hours during those moments, it?s a real problem. I had a margin issue that popped up unexpectedly. The platform showed conflicting info, and I needed clarification urgently. I submitted a support ticket and waited? and waited. By the time I got a response, I had already been liquidated. Their excuse? ?High ticket volume.? Sorry, but if you?re running a brokerage, real-time help should be a given, not a maybe. The lack of urgency made me lose confidence. Also, there?s no phone number for immediate trading support. Everything goes through email or chat that may or may not get answered quickly. Their low-cost model is fine, but if support can?t keep up during peak hours, it?s a risk I?m not willing to take again. This isn't something to gamble on.

Delayed Withdrawals and No Updates

Requested a withdrawal that should?ve taken 24?48 hours, but it ended up taking over a week. No updates were given during that time. I emailed twice and only got a generic ?we?re processing? response. That?s not acceptable when it involves client funds. A brokerage should prioritize communication when handling people?s money. The delay caused me to miss a few trade setups I?d planned on funding elsewhere. The process just feels slow and uncoordinated. Other brokers I?ve used have much more responsive fund handling. AMP needs to streamline its finance department or at least keep clients better informed when there are hold-ups. It?s one thing to face a delay; it?s another to be completely left in the dark. Transparency and faster resolution times should be a priority. This wasn?t the first time I had a delay, but it was definitely the worst one.

Data Feed Issues Constant

Been facing non-stop problems with Rithmic data feed since I joined AMP. The feed disconnects randomly?sometimes during trades, which is just unacceptable. When I reached out to support, they blamed Rithmic, then told me to try another feed. So I switched to CQG, which fixed some of the issues but came with new fees. It?s frustrating because I expected a more stable setup. Also, customer service felt more like a deflection than an actual solution. They kept saying ?try this, try that? instead of investigating the issue thoroughly. If the core data feed isn?t reliable, how are traders supposed to feel secure executing positions? Especially in a market where seconds matter. I understand tech issues happen, but there?s a difference between a one-off glitch and repeated failure. AMP really needs to take more responsibility and improve the reliability of their systems and third-party partnerships.

Tried AMP because of the low commission structure and good reviews, but the learning curve was brutal. Their platform setup is not beginner-friendly at all. I had no idea how to connect data feeds or configure charts, and there was no real walkthrough provided. The user portal is cluttered and hard to navigate. I asked support for help and received short, vague replies. It almost felt like they expect users to already be tech-savvy traders. There?s a lot of terminology thrown around without explanation. Took me over a week just to get comfortable placing trades, and I still don't feel confident navigating the tools. AMP might be good for experienced traders who know exactly what they?re doing, but I wouldn?t recommend it to anyone just starting out. There needs to be more hand-holding and clearer tutorials.
