An Overcomplicated Claims Procedure
There was a real delay in processing the claim through ALPS. Though I had provided them with all of the necessary documents, yet there were lots of back and forth correspondence and it took over a month to resolve the issue in question. The communication was rather unorthodox and so were very supportive in terms of providing updates. In general, their coverage is not too bad; however, the claims process really sucked.

I contacted ALPS about a billing problem, and I was quite disappointed by the customer service. It took them a few days to respond, and even then, they did not address my issue satisfactorily. I found them to be lukewarm and to give long explanations that seemed to repeat themselves. I would expect much better from such a company.
