The premiums are quite high in my opinion, while also do not think it's worth the money that is charged; I expected more from them since it's AKC. I am looking for a new insurance company, after this experience."

"I was initially impressed with AKC Pet Insurance, but after filing a couple of claims, I've been disappointed by the lack of clarity in their coverage. Two claims have been denied for reasons that were not adequately explained, and it has been frustrating trying to get answers. I've had to contact customer service multiple times, but their responses have been vague, and I often feel like I'm getting the runaround. Hidden Exclusions and Slow Response Times
"This is my experience with AKC Pet Insurance for several months now. The plan certainly looked fine on paper, but since registering, it has been nothing but some hassle. First, I was surprised to note a good number of exclusions in my plan that I was not informed of when signing up. Subsequently, I tried to file a claim on what I thought would be covered, only to find out it wasn't. Then there is the slow response time: customer support has taken days to get back to me. It feels like they just don't care about the customers once they sign on; of course, that surely comes at a premium since the premiums are too high for what I'm being served here, so I will continue researching pet insurance."

Expensive with Limited Benefits
"I have AKC Pet Insurance for about a year now, and am extremely disappointed at the value I am paying. Really high premium costs, and benefits that are offered are totally meager. I did file a few claims; each claim had me paid much less than I had anticipated. The claims were really slow processing, and the customer service was not that helpful. When I did get through to them, however, they were generic and unhelpful. My own feeling is that I'm paying for something that does not serve my pet's needs. Definitely switching to another provider that offers much better value and transparency."

Slow and Frustrating Reimbursement
"I have had AKC Pet Insurance for almost a year, and unfortunately, I have had a terrible experience with the reimbursement process. My first major claim for an emergency visit was processed far too slowly, and I was left waiting for over a month before I received my reimbursement. When the check finally arrived, it was for a fraction of what I was expecting. The premiums are high, but I haven't felt like I've received the value I paid for. Customer service was no help in speeding up the process, and the lack of communication throughout was incredibly frustrating. I'm seriously considering switching to another company that offers more reliable service."

Lack of Transparency in Policy Details
"I have been using AKC Pet Insurance for a few months now and, for the most part, do not agree with the lack of transparency involved in policy details. When signing up, I was initially assured that my dog's treatments would be covered, but when trying to make a claim on a procedure deemed necessary, was informed it wasn't. Upon further review of the fine print, several exclusions were never mentioned at all during the sign-up process; the customer support team was vague and unhelpful with questions. Coverage Doesn?t Meet Expectations
"I have had AKC Pet Insurance now for more than six months, and I'm very disappointed in their coverage. As much as they provide a number of plans to choose from, the one that I chose is less encompassing than I was expecting. The claims I made often get rejected for reasons not clear to me, and when I asked the customer service about this matter, they were unable to give me adequate explanations. The reimbursement is also very slow, which has been very frustrating with the process. Too Confusing About Process for Claims
"I have been with AKC Pet Insurance for nearly a year now, and my experience has been very disappointing. The claims process is confusing and hard to navigate. I have had to submit claims several times because of their vague requirements, and even then, I am not sure what will be covered. Customer service has been unhelpful, giving me generic responses rather than specific answers. Disappointing Coverage and Support
"I have a very disappointing experience with AKC Pet Insurance. Their plans seemed attractive at first, but I ran into a myriad of problems. Their coverage is much narrower than advertised, and I have already had several claims denied for not very good reasons. Their customer service team hasn't been much help in untangling the whole mess, taking an eternity to respond. For the price of the premiums, I feel that I am getting a service that doesn't return the value for money. It's too pricey, and their benefits don't compare to the money I'm shelling out. I have begun my search for alternative providers and probably will switch when the policy runs out. I don't recommend AKC Pet Insurance."
