Working with 1-800Accountant has provided the necessary stability in our finances. My assigned accountant has been there on all of my numerous questions, particularly at tax time. I feel like my consultant actually cares about the success of my business and has taken extra steps to make sure that I'm identifying the right deductions and planning appropriately. The customer service team also answers my questions for my own knowledge so that I stay up to speed. The one recommendation I would have is to cut the onboarding process so it doesn't take as long. Lacked Consistency and Clear Communication

I expected professional support and consistency from 1-800Accountant. In a word, I was utterly frustrated. Communication-wise, for example, it took days sometimes before my messages were responded to. Sometimes the accountants change, so I have my business details with them at different stages. This inconsistency caused me errors that I had to correct; that alone was a hassle for me during tax seasons. And the premium price was not commensurate with quality of service I received. That is why I transferred myself to a local accountant who gave me personal attention like me, which I needed. A service that projects itself to be a professional and reliable one as 1-800Accountant is disappointing. They need to improve their mode of communicating with people, too, show consistency. Their service can actually be good if those flaws were corrected.

Not Follow Through

It is a disappointment when dealing with 1-800Accountant. It seems promising at first, but then it doesn't follow through. Disorganized Service and Poor Communication

My experience with 1-800Accountant was not as expected. Good impressions from the very start, but communication issues soon appear. In a short time, I had more accountants assigned to me than I could keep straight, so many miscommunications and errors in my tax records. It was a frustrating experience and, for that matter, an inefficient process. The response was not only inconsistent, but many times when I got answers, it sounded incomplete or, often, in disagreement. The price I paid I expected better professionalism and consistency. It seemed that the whole thing was unstructured, and I ended up with another accountant that could give me consistent, stable support. I will not recommend this service at all based on my experience, especially to small business owners who really need clear and continuous guidance. Continuity and a more consistent and timely response will improve this company's value for their clients.

When I needed an answer, I wished some could have arrived sooner than expected from a high-end service for the money. For the money, I believe one should get more reliable and dependable support. Also, I had some issues with the billing process and only got it sorted out after several calls back-and-forth. Eventually, I looked for a local accountant who could give me personalized and continuous attention. I think 1-800Accountant might be right for you if you are alright with a revolving door of representatives, but if you truly need a personal and continuous relationship, then the service is not that ideal. Unfortunately, my experience was not as high-quality as promised.

I have, however, experienced quite several problems with the service offered by 1-800Accountant. My accountant was not always available; the response was slow. Communication sometimes fails and moves up and down. Financial tasks are hard to keep up with. High Cost, Low Satisfaction

I selected 1-800Accountant based on their reputation initially, but my experience was far below par. The biggest issue for me is that I never knew who my accountant would be from one time to the next and every time I was given a new accountant I had to explain my business all over again. The transition was infuriating and so time-consuming. Furthermore, the cost was just too high associated with the type of service I received. When I had questions concerning taxes, answers often came way too late and left me standing in the dark during those critical times. Given the price that I paid for such a service, I could have thought there would have been much better. The bottom line is that I ended up selecting a local accountant who is stable and helps me out in a much more personal nature as well. I will not recommend the firm if you are seeking something like what I had.

Not Worth the Expense

I signed with 1-800Accountant hoping that the processes would be streamlined and that taxes would be prepared accordingly in an expert manner. My experience was disappointing. Communication was far from stable due to at least four changes of account representatives. Each time, I would have to explain and describe my needs and expectations; that caused me much delay and confusion. Besides these two shortcomings, the tax filing was also inaccurate since several corrections were needed. To pay that much, I hoped at least for smooth service and a consistent representative who understands my business without reminding me each time by re-telling details. The customer support group was appreciative, but nothing was done for perpetual change that only disappointed me further. Eventually, I had to opt out to an accountant which gives more personalized output and reliability.
