Good Stuff Botanicals founders, Maranda and Michael, are passionate about healthy living and developing organic products based on the chemistry of nature. They started their trip in 2012 due to necessity, because Michael, who developed psoriasis at the beginning of his 20s, had used all the possible methods to calm his skin. At the very moment he was ready to surrender, the two looked in their own library and came upon a family recipe, and experimented. Two years of trial and error led them eventually to perfect Gypsy Cream product so effectively that they knew it had to be shared. Quitting their day jobs, they started The Good Stuff Botanicals in the hope that they could help those in need, like them. Soon after, they found out they were having their first child, which provided them with even greater incentive to start a business that would benefit their family and community. They have been selling their products in festivals and art shows, and farmer's markets, where they could meet people and see the difference their products had. They had to switch gears to new opportunities when the sales on wholesale accounts and online increased, particularly when their second child was born. The Good Stuff Botanicals now has a cute brick and mortar cabin in Bigfork, Montana, the hometown of Maranda. Their products are now being stocked in over 130 stores and have also appeared in magazines and newspapers. They are still very attached to their origins, though they have grown; they are the ones themselves who continue to make their own ingredients in the mountains with their children, they are the ones who create new formulas and are still a part of their community. The founders also give back by donating to birthing centres, hospitals, veterans, and anyone in special need. They are members of the Bigfork Chamber of Commerce, take part in local events and even organised an Earth Day celebration. They collaborated with a local distillery during the pandemic to make sanitiser, the first in their region and state to distribute it to first responders and the community. Maranda and Michael keep The Good Stuff Botanicals the best it can become through hard work, community participation and their love of natural healing.
