I really wanted to like Zilch, but the experience has been frustrating. Although the app interface is friendly, it's disappointing how many transactions fail or are delayed without explanation. Customer service took too long to respond, and resolution took too long. The lack of many partner stores limits the flexibility of the service more than I expected. Another thing is that there's an issue with payment reminders; it sometimes does not sync correctly, causing a lot of unnecessary stress. The cashback reward is not even a great incentive, as some services offer better. This service is not the worst I've seen, but there are still lots of things it has to improve on. With reliability and variety being some key points to make a successful service like this, unfortunately, Zilch is one that lacks both.

Has Room for Major Improvement
Concept-wise, Zilch is fantastic, but execution wise, it's not really great. My account had transactions pending for approvals even though it was in good standing. There are also errors with the app, making it impossible to get a correct view of all payments. The support service is unresponsive and unsupportive. The service is not very usable because there are no partnered retailers and the cashback rewards are low. The no-interest payment plan is attractive, but this drawback overshadows that feature. I would advise you to look elsewhere before signing up with Zilch; the service feels still in a beta phase. Unless significant improvements are made, I do not think I will be using this service again.

There is also a very limited list of partnered stores that one can use it with, and the cashback rewards are almost negligible. A Letdown
Zilch was very promising initially, but then it just became a disappointment. The app tends to freeze often, and it is quite tricky to link the app to retailers. There have been instances with the failure of payment. Customer service was required before they resolved it in due course of a few weeks. There are very few option stores available and less cash reward back, making it less attractive against other competitors. Their customer services team is very slow at times and just gives indirect answers. I expect so much from a service sold to change a life, only to be frustrated and later find better alternatives.
