No Information Consistencies

I had expected more from Clements, especially after the several good things I had heard about their coverage for expats. But when it came to the process of filing a claim, it was hard getting to get consistent information on time. I had to ring several times just for them to give me even general information on the processing requirements, and each call left me with a different explanation. The claim is already processed, but processing did take longer than expected and had to leave me less sure on their reliability. Straight-forward service may be something for the alternatives.

Unclear Information and Slow Service

I made a policy with Clements for easy settlement of claims. This experience turned out to be really fatiguing as filling up a claim is an exasperating procedure that brings everything into too much of a nothing, but all to the cause of misunderstandings, that not all reps of the Clements share the information. Too many unnecessary paperworks, nothing was turned in on reimbursement what would have been paid by my insurer, which only does look messy and aggravating.

The Clements is some of the most reliable insurance services an individual may encounter among those specializing in expatriates, I believe. Indeed, policies are so vivid and hence tailored according to each desire; they answer customer phone calls ready for help 24/7 with such promptness over all related inquiries. During recent travel, I needed a policy while on vacation abroad due to reasons unrelated to fault and mishaps that, despite careful precautions, turned disastrous suddenly. Thankfully the entire processes regarding this was accomplished swift and with relative speed.

Long Waits for Reimbursement

While Clements gives a good insurance policy, I was very frustrated by the amount of time it took to receive reimbursement after making a claim. I submitted all of the necessary paperwork and was assured that the process would be pretty smooth. After weeks went by with no update, every call to their customer service made me feel as though I was being passed around without any real answers. I received partial reimbursement, but the amount was less than I expected and there was little explanation as to why it was so low. It felt as though they weren't totally transparent as to what was covered. If you need reimbursement fast, this probably isn't the best option.

Complicated Process

Experience with Clements was pretty complicated. I thought policies were pretty straightforward, until I had to file for a claim. Then, after going through all the stages, I found out that many were not covered as I originally thought. It took me months, and I kept feeling that they did not explain what was required, and the customer service operators gave me conflicting information more than once. The whole thing frustrated me. They accepted my claim, but only paid less than I estimated, and I was still not sure why.

It has been extremely reliable, but the best thing about the insurance for an expat is that it really does have everything outside of a country needed. For this, it was an exceptional challenge to find, and this is where the service shines through: everyone I was lucky enough to speak with understood every step of the process in full detail from beginning to end, as far as everything covered or excluded. Not very good expirience

I selected Clements as it looked a reputable company. Their performance, however has not lived up to the bill. I thought that their insurance covered everything while doing an international assignment, only to realize that getting their claims process was anything but smooth. The process went into delay multiple times. There was also not a good response from them to get things done. Finally after months, they stated certain aspects were not covered that had been assured by the sales people. This can be very frustrating as the assumption of full coverage payment goes into waste when that's not the case. The process was by no means smooth. Certain agents have been helpful; but in general, not many can claim that to have been a smooth experience. That's why I would seek out other providers who clearly indicate the terms and do not play hide and seek with customers.

Good value for international insurance

While initially I was confident choosing Clements because of its expat-focused insurance, my claim experience with a very recent matter was disappointing. When the processing was delayed not once, not twice but multiple times with requests to provide documents that had never been indicated, I get frustrated whenever I call someone and another person tells you something completely different. At the end of several months, I finally got some resolution but for much lower than expected because of many exclusions that I was simply not adequately aware of. What I get for the price and expect, I would appreciate a smooth process and communications. This is where room for claims management and transparency lie. Going forward, there are going to be alternatives for clear terms and streamlined claims process.

Lack of Transparency

Where Clements' website sounded the most comprehensive of the options, I had unaccounted for exclusions with my policy. Claims Procedure Needs Refinement

At first, I was glad to have Clements's coverage, but things really didn't go well in terms of the claims process. There was a very lengthy procedure and way too many formalities when I wanted to claim. Every time I rang them, they had completely different instructions, so there was no one to talk to, really. And I was only partially compensated for this after months, so when I was paid less, I did not receive very clear explanations of where my money went. Lack of transparency is really a great disappointment. While I'm okay with the initial application and the coverage it brings, I don't see support when I needed to be supported. Unfortunate, really, as high hopes were placed. Well, experience is an awful educator.

Confusing policy details

Sometimes, I found that policy information at Clements was confusing. There was no way to elicit further information from them when I even called for some of the explanations of some of these policies because their replies were fuzzy and not aligned. The customer service could have been enhanced to give directions.
