Long-Time Customer and VERY Happy
Amica has been my insurer for many years and year after year, I am impressed with their service. When my car went out of order, they were prompt to provide me with towing and repair assistance. All the people I dealt with there are cordial, and they all appear to really want to assist me. Their online services make it easy to keep track of my policy, too. Long Drawn-Out Claim Process
Amica took way too long to settle my claim. It was always a saga of follow-ups on my part. I genuinely thought I might have a check within a couple of weeks. The whole process stretched out to over two months. Communication with the claims adjuster was slow, so I did not feel that my case was being worked on regularly. Even when they finally processed the claim, the whole experience was not smooth sailing, so I would have expected better service considering all that I pay in terms of premiums. While Amica has a wonderful reputation, this experience really makes me wonder if it's time to seek someone else for coverage. Sad part is I really wanted to entrust them with all my coverage needs.

Having been an Amica customer for some time now, I must say I was really impressed with the level of service they provided. Every time I call in, the agents are friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to help. Recently, I had a claim and they walked me through the whole process. The claim was processed in a few days, and I get paid a fair value. This is basically why they stand out from their attention to customer service. Responsive and Trusty Insurance Company
I've been insured with Amica over ten years, and yet they never fail to impress. When I came here, initially I just got home insurance. Then because of the quality of service given, I also got auto and life afterwards. Just the other day, a storm passed by our place, which caused damage. On this part, Amica proved to be an efficient company. Within 24 hours, they have already sent an adjuster over. The claims process was easy with no hitch. The adjuster seems very professional. She explains everything. This is why I always entrust them with my cover. Sure, their premium might be a bit steeper than usual, but the quality of service and peace of mind they give you is really worth it for me. If one were after a sure provider, I'd surely recommend this company.

Bad Experience with Customer Support
It has been three years already since I became a member of Amica. Recent experience had a bad impression. I called to ask questions regarding a possible claim. The representative looked at me like they didn't want to be bothered with trying to assist me. They barely answered the questions I had, not making a concerted effort to explain my options. I had to nearly buck to get every little bit of information from them. It's bad paying for insurance only to be treated in such a state of lack of respect as a customer. Frustrating. While Amica is famous for having good service, my experience could not be more opposite. Am moving to a new insurer where I find that customer service is most important.

Whenever I am asking for something general or updates on any of my coverage, they ensure I understand everything perfectly. They're available if there's any problem regarding my policy coverages. Thorough coverage and peace of mind
Amica's broad cover makes me feel extremely safe. I signed with them because they were the most competitive rate, but I stay because of great service. Rarely does an insurance company care as much about the customer experience as apparently they do. They really have great explanations and no push to upsell when not necessary. Lacking Policy Details
I was very disappointed in how unclear Amica was with the details of its policies when I joined. I asked them for clarification of specifics about what would be covered, but they gave me opposite information from each representative. It made me feel not so sure about what my policy really covered. They denied an insurance claim I raised for a very minor problem, which they said was not included in my insurance coverage. Yet during the enrollment process, they told me that I would be covered for such occurrences. This is one of my reasons for frustration and being misled by them. If you want transparency and simple coverage, then beware. I will look elsewhere.

Overcharged on Policy Renewal
I was with Amica for quite some time, but lately, my premium had been raised without any apparent reason. I called customer service to try clarifying the reason, but the representative could not give me a clear explanation. It seems like they are being obscure on how they come up with the rates, which is pathetic. That was frustrating since with such a good name as that of the company, I had expected far better communication. And after comparing the prices with other providers, I came across cheaper deals. I am a bit worried that Amica does not have much transparency with regard to premium changes. Proper communication about the premium change would have made all the difference.

Miscommunication on Coverage
Amica was frustrating for me because the coverage details had miscommunication involved. I was told certain incidents would be covered once I signed up initially. But when I went to file my claim, they turn around and deny it because, well, this "same issue" my policy doesn't cover. They never explained to me why they had given me contradictory information all along. So, in general, that experience made me question the point of paying for Amica. A company as commercially recognized for its care of customer service should be able to do more about making sure that their customers feel all the benefits they've promised. I'll seek other options when the time comes for my renewal.
