Difficult to Contact Support

No matter how I tried getting in touch with them after some kind of a problem I had with my transaction, the customer service was not very responsive. They took too much time responding to me; I already handled the issue on my own once they got back to me. The card is decent, but customer service lacks.

Works well for expense management

Akimbo Card is great. Easy to set up and use. I enjoy seeing how across categories since I have some interest in knowing where my money is being spent. Not Accepted Everywhere

I have had several occasions where the Akimbo Card was declined by the merchants. Disappointed since I would have thought it should be more widely accepted. A good idea, but the restrictions lessen its usefulness. Information needs to be given by Akimbo as to who can and cannot take the card.

Delayed Transactions

My money transactions take like forever to come through on the Akimbo app. This makes it hard to be able to track my budget. The card is good for separating different expenses, but the delay in coming through is what makes it ineffective. Customer Service Needs Improvement

I wrote to the customer service of Akimbo regarding the issue that my card keeps getting declined. It took them days to respond. Then, when they did reply to me, the answer was not clear at all, so I had to write them back again to clarify things. I am not impressed with the whole idea of their customer service.

Poor Merchant Acceptance

The Perfect Expense Management Tool

It works okay. The app is a different story. It often crashes and sometimes refuses to finish loading transaction updates for what feels like an interminable period of time. I have found the delay of transaction updates with Akimbo Card. It takes hours to have a post in the purchases within the application, which would not enable me to track any spending of mine. Transaction Delays

Not Very Dependable for Business Expenses

I began using Akimbo for my business expenses. It is a frustrating experience. The app is glitchy-and sometimes-it'll take hours for transactions to show up. End. When I tried to contact customer service for the issue, the response was slow and unhelpful. It took me so many days to receive a simple question, and I still failed to have my problem solved because they did not remedy the situation. Another problem is that, one of my cards was turned down at a particular vendor at random without giving any clear reason at all, and I went through embarrassment and inconvenient time there. Overall, the service is not that reliable to be put to business use-so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who needs constant, real-time updates to track his spending. The idea is good, but execution leaves much to be desired-in areas of customer care and app reliabilities.

The main issue with the Akimbo Card is that it is very rarely accepted in brick-and-mortar stores. It works fantastic for internet-based purchases, but it is not so flexible when it comes to the 'bricks and mortar' store. The ease with which you can create multiple cards and monitor spending is something to enjoy. There are minor bugs in the application, but that's been fine. I would definitely suggest it to anyone interested in gaining control of their finances.

Great for Tracking Multiple Expenses

Using Akimbo Card, where I had several expenses to deal with, has been quite perfect. It was intuitive enough so that I could track my transactions across various categories. There would be slight delays at times in updating the transactions, but mostly, it has helped me manage my budget quite nicely. Hence, I would like to recommend it to others.

Good for Budgeting and Saving

I've used Akimbo for budgeting purposes, and so far, it's been all right. That one ability to be able to open multiple cards for different categories is very helpful. It does the job well; however, sometime the data takes a long time to update in transactions. For the services, I am satisfied with it; hence, I wouldn't mind passing it along to others.

App Issues

I had several problems with the Akimbo app. It freezes up very often and sometimes fails to load. This really does make it pretty much impossible to monitor my own spending. The card is fine, but the app has to be overhauled very seriously for me to recommend it.

Too Many Issues

I have had too many problems with Akimbo and can't in good conscience recommend it. The app freezes easily, transfers take an awfully long time to go through, and its customer service has been quite useless. I really wanted more reliability from this service, but they have disappointed me in every capacity. I am going to find another budgeting software.

Excellent for Managing Expenses

Poor Support Experience

Had an issue when a transaction failed-one that was declined. Customer Service was so extremely slow to respond to me. I found the solution outcome frustrating and ill-defined about what had happened with the declined transaction. Akimbo looks promising, but their customer service could speed up its response time much better.

Customer Service Needs Improvement

I've been using Akimbo Card for a while now. The card is all right; however, customer service leaves much to be desired. I had a problem with a transaction, and getting somebody to respond was taking them several days. Finally, when they did, they were not too helpful. Well, even after showing a lack of interest in helping me, I needed to follow up several times before they bothered to sort it out. Another grievance I have is that of unresponsiveness on the support team's behalf. They took a really long time to respond and make you feel that it is no big deal. Sometimes, some transactions do not update instantly in the app, which becomes quite painful if you want to keep track of your budget at the moment. Overall, this service has potential but much needs to be done in the way of dealing with customer support and functionalities in the app. Up until now, I wouldn't give it a good recommendation-most especially to those who really need consistent customer service.

Excellent for Business Expense Management

I have kept using Akimbo Card mainly for the control of my business expenses-it really is helpful to segregate the cards according to various expenses, and so it becomes easier to track any of my transactions in real time. The application does pretty well and hasn't really disappointed me with anything major yet. For one, there would typically be a short lag before the update of transactions, but that does not really cloud things for me. All in all, it has been an excellent tool for managing the finances of my business and one that I would recommend to anyone who wants a simple way to manage expenses.

Needs Better App Stability

Concept behind the Akimbo Card itself was a good one, but the app was awful. I often found it just crashed and that I never received on-time updates of transactions. How do you get to trust a service if the app is problematic? Sure hope these technical issues get ironed out so the full experience can work.

App Crashes Often

Akimbo App-The Akimbo app crashes too often, which can be very frustrating. So far, I've reinstalled it several times, and it remains unclear as to why I have problems all of the time. Keeping a budget is almost impossible when this app is uncooperative. Hope they work out those technicalities because the basis of the card is great.

Works well in managing expenses

Akimbo Card has been super helpful in tracking my expenses. It's quite simple and straightforward to set it up as well as use, and I like tracking the spending across many different categories. The only negative interaction I have seen thus far is that sometimes the transaction updates are little delayed, but, on the whole, it's been pretty reliable for me to keep using to manage my finances with.

Disappointing Experience

This is a disappointing experience with Akimbo Card. The app is not reliable since it crashes very frequently and experiences delays in transaction updates. Customer support was slow to respond when I had an issue, and it didn?t leave a good impression. I hope they improve the service soon.

Simple and Useful

Really like using Akimbo for personal budgeting-it is easy and simple and so nice to see how your money goes. Not a good app at all

The Akimbo app is a pain to deal with. It does crash a lot, and most of the time, transaction updates don't arrive till way after they happen. Concept is great. Terrible execution. Do hope they drive more attention to fixing the app as money management is made unnecessarily cumbersome.

Highly effective for managing finances

Inconsistent Transaction Updates

The Akimbo app has sometimes caused me issues with late transactions on updates. Sometimes, it takes hours for my buys to come up; otherwise, it's pretty hard to track my expenditures. Much better reliability and real-time updating would be achieved with a more stable app.

Not Worth the Hassle

As a member, I have had more problems with Akimbo than I care to recount. Too frequently does it crash, and there have even been instances where transactions won't update. Not Pleased with Service

I really got frustrated with the Akimbo. It is unreliable, so sometimes the transactions take much longer than I am usually accustomed to. The customer support was very slow to answer my questions, so I am not confident about keeping my finances there. I'll be changing to a more reliable one.

Easy to Use and Functional
